Swinging Bridge RV Resort, Byram, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

To call this a dump would be generous. Old run down park with gravel roads and mostly long term stays. Next to my site were two old trailers with AC units hanging on sides. The sites have level concrete pads just wide enough for the RV. My site the sides sloped on all sides so no practical patio area. Most sites are in the trees but they have a few sites in an open field that was pretty muddy. Access convenient to I-55. Arrived after closing and not give paperwork or WiFi code so could not use. We camped at Swinging Bridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice gated large park convenient to/from I-10 near Breaux Bridge. Concrete roads and level spacious extra wide pads with a old picnic table, some grass and a small tree for some shade(not an issue getting satellite) between sites. Pull throughs are long and angled for easy access/departure although roads and turns are narrow. There is a large pool area with slides and other attractions. They pick up your trash. Check in was well organized but they do not take reservations for short stays, tell you to call on arrival day to see if they have space! Have stayed here many times overnight and this is not a problem most of the time except on summer weekends. Major negative is they make you pay if you want wifi at your site - $5/N per device for basic and $15/N per devise to stream Netflicks/ect. Fortunately we have a Winegard Wifi booster and could network to multiple devises for the price of one. Utility station was at end of pad so had to use extra sewer hoses. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Ok no frills place to stay if visiting Nashville, 12 miles/30 min to downtown. Gravel roads and sites with some grass and a few trees. Positives - sites level with plastic picnic table, staff real nice and help you park rig, on site small restaurant offering limited breakfast lunch and dinner options, have live music each night. Negatives - most sites are crammed together in odd ways with little or no privacy, WiFi did not work at all, no cable, no pool, no patio, no fire ring, park next to a busy road and train track so lots of outside noise(did not notice in RV). My pull in faced the back of an RV, site was spacious and long enough for my 45 ft MH but had to park my tow in the grass, had to use me extension to get to power pole and a tree blocked access to satellite. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest and prettiest campgrounds I have ever stayed in. There are two rows along a river with one for motor homes to pull in so your front window is facing and only a few feet from the river and a back-in row across the street. Roads are paved and pads are extra wide concrete long enough for a 45 ft MH and tow behind with space for a second car on the pad if needed. The sites are very spacious with a nice aluminum picnic table along with a pretty hedge row between sites for privacy. There is grass between the sites and the river. My site (#1) is the best as there is no RV next to you on your patio side. The campground is immaculate with very attractive landscaping and pine needle ground cover all around the park and between sites. The clubhouse is very nice with a playground and pool. There are many small trees but I had no difficulty getting satellite. The wifi is superb and I could stream Netflicks. The campground is easy to get to off the main road between I-40 and Sevierville. The only negative thing is its located aways from Pigeon Forge attractions and 25 miles from the National Park. On the other hand its nice and peaceful being away from all the crowds and the view out the front of your RV and pad is picture perfect. We camped at Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Decent campground to stay if you are in Perry Georgia area. Easy assess to/from I-75 but not so close you have any freeway noise. Roads are easy to get around and paved and sites are gravel. Most sites are pull throughs with a picnic table, appear to be reasonably level, reasonably spacious, with tall trees for shade and have no grass between sites. My site 34 is a level long pull through that I could get satellite access (requested) with some grass but the power pole is located near the front of my RV requiring I use my extension power cord. There is a small pond but no pool. Wifi was not very good. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at campground for two days until scheduled service date. Roads and pads are paved with grass between sites and a picnic table on a concrete pad. There is a small tree on each site for some shade. Did not interfere with getting satellite. Sites are barely long enough for RV with everyone's truck or tow car parked in street. The streets are wide so we had no major problem backing into our site with my 45 ft RV. All sites are back-ins. WiFi is poor, could not even connect at my site. Space between sites is reasonable but not spacious. Park was a schedule of activities, pool and work out room and is convenient to I-4 and Tampa. Stayed for free with coupons from a previous RV purchase. Campground is convenient to Lazydays sales lots. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Bay Bayou RV Resort, Tampa, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

A real gem in Tampa! The campground is very pretty, clean and well laid out. Staff keeps the grounds immaculate. Roads are paved and there is a security gate. All the sites are back in, level, extra wide and have picnic tables. The older section pads are grave, with mature trees and grass or gravel between sites. The trees provide a lot of shade and are trimmed so branches do not hang down on your RV. The new section is very nice Wirth a wide road and sites are spacious with long double wide concrete pads, angled for easier access and some shrubs and 20 ft of grass between sites. These sites back up to a bayou so you have some privacy and nice views. There are fewer trees in this section so getting satellite is easier. There are a number of pretty ponds. WiFi is good. The clubhouse has a regular activity program and a pool. There is a major highway nearby but road noise is minimal. The rate reflects one free day if you stay for 3 or more days. We camped at Bay Bayou RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Triple C's Campground & RV Park, Chattahoochee, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

An old sort of run down campground located close to I-10. The area is pretty remote with limited restaurants or stores within near driving distance. Tallahassee is about 40 miles away. The campground roads and sites are gravel. The nightly price ($40) is over priced given there is no WiFi or cable and nothing special about the park. There is a small pool. Our site #1 was level and could get satellite but the picnic table and gravel pad is on the wrong side. Most of the sites are level but many would not be for long rigs. Most of the sites have a lot of trees so if you need satellite access be sure to request an open site. We camped at Triple C's Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground convenient to 1-10. Roads and pads are level concrete. The site pads are angled for better access and are extra wide. The pull through sites are extra long but only a 10 ft strip of grass between sites and no picnic table. The campground borders a pretty lake on 3 sides. There is a paved path along the lake and a pool. The roads are wide but you have an overall feel that the campground is laid out very cramped. They only allow 2 devices for WiFi but it was adequate for internet and Facebook. They escort you to site and pick up your trash. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park, Kinder, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Can't beat the price ($19) for a great campground! Of course they want you to come to gamble at the casino which is a little off the beaten path about 20 miles north of I-10/Lake Charles. Campground is located next to casino with free shuttle available. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. Roads are paved and sites are long concrete with large patio with picnic table. There is grass between the spacious sites and occasional small trees. There is a nice clubhouse and pool and a pond. Wifi is Ok. One irritation is they charge you $50 deposit at check in which is refunded at check out. We camped at Coushatta Casino Resort Red Shoes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reunion Lake RV Resort, Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

A nice destination resort if you have kids/grandkids or a really nice park if you are just passing through area. The main attraction is the very large water park features with a small lazy river and slides on the lake. There is an family and separate adult pools and club houses where loud music plays during the day. There is a tennis and basketball court and small mini golf. The park is relatively new with wide concrete roads and very wide long pads with very wide side concrete pad for a nice picnic table. Each site has a fire ring and grass between sites. There are a few trees. The space between sites is vary spacious. The park is easy on/off I-12 and has very high berms along the road sides of the park so road noise was minimal. Some is the sites are arranged for 2-4 group camping. The park is located near Hammond and close access to stores and restaurants there. My only complaint is having to pay over $6/day for crappy WiFi. We camped at Reunion Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Big Oak RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

An old somewhat run down but clean RV park in Tallahassee so its convenient to local attractions, stores and restaurants. OK for a night if your passing through as I have many times but not a destination park. Most sites appear to have long term quests. Roads are paved and sites are mostly gravel. The campground is full of tall oak trees so very few sites can access satellite. There is grass between most sites and some have a picnic table. On this trip I was given the worst site (#45) I could imagine along the entry road such that they had traffic cones to put in front of my RV so I would not get hit by someone coming in to the park! Fortunately I carry a 50 amp power cord extension as I needed it to reach the power supply. I had to use 3 hoses to reach the sewer. Fortunately the "site" was level. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Stay here a week every year. Nice park like campground convenient to Charleston. Campground is spread out over a large area with attractive trees and grass throughout. If you need satellite access be sure to request when making reservation as most sites access is blocked by large trees. Roads are paved and sites are level. gravel/grass. Pull though sites are long and relatively spacious. WiFi was very spotty during out stay. Two things I hate about this campground is the many speed bumps (up to 12 depending on your site) and difficulty/danger in exiting the park going north on Hwy-17 towards Charleston due to heavy traffic most of the day. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Relatively new, nice, clean campground north of Jacksonville with convenient on/off I-95. Roads are paved and sites are concrete. There is grass between sites and small trees on some sites. Sites are 60 ft with a wide pad. Pad slopes down on front and back to road so longer rigs have to center on pad to level which requires toad to be disconnected. WiFi was not usable during our stay. Most sites had a picnic table but ours did not. There is a nice pool at front and pond on one side. There is a fee market next door. One exit south on I-95 is a large commercial area with many stores and restaurants. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Milton / Gulf Pines KOA, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Typical nice KOA with all the amenities. Very convenient to I-10 coming in but have to do a u-turn in highway or business to get out back on I-10. Roads are paved. Sites are level gravel/grass and very spacious and especially long. There are a few trees in the pull thru area but had no problems accessing satellite. There is a picnic table on a concrete pad at each site. This KOA does not pick up your trash. Staff was very friendly and take you to your site. We camped at Milton / Gulf Pines KOA in a Motorhome.
