Valencia Travel Village, Castaic, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with all the other positive comments written by others but I want to add one that shows just how "classy" this place is. I was there with my 35' motorhome and when I went to leave my long slide would not close. I called the office looking for a suggestion as to who to call and the lady said that they had someone at the Park that might be able to help and she would send him over. Within minutes this well dressed gentleman came over and immediately determined that I had a serious problem but he would try to help me out. It took him about an hour but I was able to put the slide in and be on my way. He could have very easily said that the problem was to complicated and left but no he was determined to help me. When I asked him what I owed him he said nothing which I could not believe but I did force him to take something. I am guessing but that would have cost me at least $300/400 to do what he did. That should give you some idea of the type of people that work their and their commitment to customer service. It is a great place all the way around and I highly recommend it. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Bear Den RV Resort , Grangeville, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely not a resort but an excellent place to stay for a night or two. Right next to US95 but very quiet and clean. They had Wi-Fi problems when I was there and from the comments in other reviews that is an issue. Fortunately I had my own so I did not have an issue. Excellent Mexican restaurant in town for lunch. We camped at Bear Den RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Columbia Sun RV Resort, Kennewick, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here before and agree with everyone else it is a great spot. Good size sites, clean, quiet, near the freeway, very friendly and accommodating. When I set up I determined there was an electrical issue and the owner came out and we both agreed that it looked like the problem was mine so he gave me a mobile repair company to call. The company came out, charged me $100.00 only to find out the problem was the campground's not mine. When I addressed it with the owner he immediately reimbursed me the $100 and apologized. Just an example of the kind of treatment you get when you are there. Great place. We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, Troutdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for five days over Labor Day weekend 2017. As most everyone said it is a very nice park very well kept and rules are enforced. Everyone says stay away from exit 18 and they are right but if by chance you end up on it, it is not the end of the world as I went over it with a 35 foot motorhome pulling a car. Yes, there is some train noise; we never noticed it and definitely not an issue. I suggest if you have time to walk downtown Troutdale which is only three blocks long it is well worth it. The best part of the trip for us was the way we were treated by the lady in the office. She put us in a back in site where I could get no TV (satellite, cable or antenna.) I went back and asked her for some help and she said she could not help me until the next day. Next thing I know she is wrapping at my door and telling me she found a pull thru site I could have and it worked out perfectly. Cost me some flowers, but it was well worth it. Very nice lady that cares about her customer. Definitely would return. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground), Lost Hills, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Like others have said it is an overnight stop between LA and San Francisco and that is all it is. Very pricey but it is the best choice for one night. I found the lady very friendly and helpful. The sites are long enough so you do not have to unhook but they are dirt. I do not believe it has gone down hill but again it is just an overnighter. Will always stay there when going up and down the 5. We camped at Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground) in a Motorhome.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed here before and believe it is one of the nicest parks I have stayed at. It is right next to the freeway but their is no noise. I have stayed by the river and it is great. This time I stayed in a pull thru and they are very long (no need to unhook your toad.) Plenty of space between sites picnic table and plenty of grass. Lady that checked me in was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Will always stay here when I am in the area. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Motorhome.

Las Cruces KOA, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA on the higher end although I suggest you take a back-in site over a pull-through. The pull-through sites have concrete strips which are handy if you have leveling issues with your rig. However they are so close together that when I put my awning out I was in the site next to me, plus there was no room for a picnic table. The back-in sites have above average width with picnic tables. Very clean and close to the 10 freeway, which is a plus. Very friendly staff. They also have a very good RV detailing company in town that washed my rig at a very reasonable price and did an excellent job. We camped at Las Cruces KOA in a Motorhome.

Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the park was because I expected it to be rundown, seeing that it was no longer a KOA. Office Manager/Lady is a sweetheart being very considerate and professional. Very close to the 10 freeway but no noise. Looks like the new owners are going to make it a nice place to stay. We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

American RV Park & Sales, Corsicana, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park for the money. Pull thru sites are long concrete pads with grass. Exceptionally clean considering the large number of permanent residents. Manager and his mom were just fantastic to deal with. Gave us excellent places to eat and helped us get back on the freeway because there was construction in town. Mother gave us her personal home phone number if we had any problems which I have never had happen before. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. We camped at American RV Park & Sales in a Motorhome.

Economy Inn & RV Park, Ozona, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with everyone that it is a one night stay at best and I paid more than I should have. They do have a very few 50 amp sites as I was in one. Along with the gravel is a lot of weeds. Doubt I would stay again. We camped at Economy Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.
