Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in a 37 ft 5th wheel in Sept. The location is easy to find off US 160 only few miles from Mesa Verde but far enough off the highway to limit road noise. We had pull through buddy type site with shared utility space. The site was wide and long enough for our rig and truck. All utilities worked well. The park is clean, well kept. No cable but got many OTA channels. WIFI worked well. We would stay again for sure. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mesa Verde is close and there are many other sites in the area. There is large Maverick travel center about a half mile West on 160 that has RV pumps and is very clean, prices good.

Butte KOA, Butte, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in September in 38 ft 5th wheel. Check in was quick no issues. We were in the back row 50 amp pull through. The site was very unravel an sat below the rest of the site. It was difficult to unhook. We had to dig out the space for our steps in order to get in the rig. Power, water worked well, WIFI was good the landspacing was poor but it was clean. We might stay for an overnight if needed again but in another site. We camped at Butte KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in 37 ft 5th wheel. The park is easy to find there is a large sign at the highway entrance. The park is well off US 2 and pretty quiet, Glacier NP is just a couple of miles up the road. We were in space 146 a pull through on the row end. The spaces are easy to get into the only issue we had were other people coming into the row the wrong way and drove across the grass nearly hitting the back of our rig. The sites have excellent grass and the pads are gravel. The grass is watered and will stay pretty wet. The site had a table and fire pit with benches. All hookups worked well and were easy to hookup. There is no cable. Our site had WIFI tower attached to the power box and another across the road but WIFI was very poor at best. The campground has a pool, cafe, ice cream shop and store. It is great well maintained campground one of the best we have ever stayed at. We will be back for sure. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Aspen Grove Rv Park, Tremonton, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice in 37 ft 5th wheel. The park is easy to find there is a large sign and you turn into a propane company yard, kind of odd. The park is very clean the people at the office friendly and helpful the area things to do. The park is well laid out we were in a pull through #1 here the entrance. This site had no grass only large rocks in front.the rest of the sites have excellent grass. The pads are concrete and level. All hookups worked well. Here is no cable. WIFI did not work even though we were near a tower. In all an excellent park and we will stay again. We camped at Aspen Grove Rv Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Lodge KOA, Deer Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 37 ft 5th wheel. The location is in the middle of town. The entrance is kind of odd there is a small sign and you go through a kind of alley to the park. Checkin was quick the gentleman at the off ice very friendly in the pouring rain. We had a pull through just long enough for our truck and 5th wheel. As it was pouring we only used the power which was fine. This is an old small park the sites are very close together. There is grass and gravel but it rained all while we were there so it was mostly mud. No cable, WIFI worked sometimes. In all a little over priced but we would use for an overnight. There is travel center for fuel on the north side of town. We camped at Deer Lodge KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River KOA, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 37 ft 5th wheel. The location is easy to find with fuel and restaurants next door. The checkin was quick, the staff friendly. We had a pull through adjacent to the office. It was a buddy site with a shared utility area. The site was all dirt, no grass with a little gravel. The hookups all worked well, but make sure to have a lot of hose. We couldn't figure the cable setup I guess if you are first you get the cable. This is an old KOA but is well kept and clean. Served the purpose for an overnight we would come back for that purpose. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very easy to find near the West end of Gallup. Check in was easy the staff very friendly advised us of what they had to offer including the BBQ but we didnt try it, maybe next time. We were in space 25 50 amp full hook up very easy to get into, no problem leveling with our jacks. The spaces are buddy type sharing the utility area. The spaces are all gravel, everything worked fine we needed our extension for power it was a ways from the box. We did not use the cable. In all a good stay the park provides what we needed for an overnight, clean, everything worked, oops except WIFI, apparently a lightening hit fried everything. There are numerous fuel options within few mintues and eating as well. We have been here before and will return when in the area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in August for 5 nights. Check-in was easy and quick, the lady in the office was very friendly and advised us about the pizza. (We didn't try it but smelled great). We were in space 75 a pull through buddy-type utility site where the space for hookups is shared. The space was just long enough for our 38 ft 5th wheel we did need to park just across the road as the spaces are not real long. Was not problem. The grass area we had was very nice, well mowed and cared for, we had a tree that did need trimming. The pet area is very large and was all well mowed. The pool area looked nice and was used by quite a few people. They advised there was no longer any cable but OTA channels were available, we had satellite. The free WIFI was poor at best, but no big deal for us. The park overall was very good, clean and well cared for. The hookups all worked well no issues be careful with the water pressure. In all another great stay here and we will be back. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There is the train which is fun. If you like to gamble, the Sky Ute casino is about 20 miles south. It is a modern, clean casino, lots of slots. There are some nice museums in town. Silverton is about 40 miles north of the park, it is a spectacular drive up US 550.

Fredericksburg, Texas KOA, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the KOA in June in a fifth wheel. Check in was quick the staff friendly. We were in space H1 which was a long pull through completely shaded. Be careful where you place your rig as we had to move after we were just short on the cable. We had a bad storm which knocked some branches onto our roof, just bad luck, no damage. The park is clean lots of grass or ground cover and is very well maintained. There are spots for every size of rig. All hookups worked well no issues including the wi-fi. A good stay we will return. Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in June in a 38 ft FW, we were in space 34 a pull through just long enough for our rig and truck. The spaces were easy to get in and out of. No issues leveling. Our space had some grass for our little dogs. Lots of dirt some small trees but this is West Texas. All utilities worked good, wi-fi was good but we were next to the tower. Road noise wasnt bad. The park is east of town but easy to get to off I-10. Had a nice looking pool, the staff was friendly and quick to give a Good Sam discount 36.00 total. Ft Stockton has the usual big truck stop companies, we used Flying J for the GS discount didn't go anywhere else. In all a good stay we would stay again. Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in June. The park is a few miles east of Custer, SD almost at the entrance to Custer State Park. It is very quiet about 500 yards off US 16A. Check in was quick the person at the counter was friendly. We had a large back in site that was not too hard to get into. The utilities worked well but the water is loaded with minerals can be rusty looking, its just the area. We had a filter and drank bottled water. The site was excellent lots of grass with a table and fire pit. The sites are some of the widest spaced we have seen. There are only a few pull throughs so if you don't like backing in you may want a different park. We found rigs of every type and size backed in here. In all a great stay (in spite of the rain), we have stayed here before and will be back, a great campground. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in June. It is located right off the interstate so there is some noise, but not too bad. Checkin was quick, the staff very friendly. The site was easy to get into, we were on the last row by the tent area, these sites have no sewer which we knew. The utilities worked well no issues. The sites are wide but may be a little short for some large rigs to park without unhitching. There are good places to walk a dog, keep on a leash there are lots of rabbits and prairie dogs. The pool looked great, cable is very limited. When pulling out there is an easy to use dump site. We have stayed here before and will return. In all a good stay we got what we expected. We stayed here in June. Staff was friendly check in quick. The park has a lot of trees in some areas we stayed on the south side pull through area no shade. The park is easy to navigate the site was easy to pull into, not spacious but well enough for all slide outs and awning. The utiilties were easy to hookup and worked well. The dog park was ok, nothing great. The park had a nice looking pool and mini golf course. In all a good stay with a reasonable cost. We would go back. We stayed here in June. We had a big rig pull through on the east side of the park. We have stayed in the older part but found the sites tight to get into. Our site was was easy to get into, well spaced and clean. This area is all rock with paved roads and concrete pads with a table.
