Maverick Ranch RV Park at Lajitas Resort, Lajitas, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Phoning for a reservation is dreadful! Besides phoning three days in a row I sent a detailed email requesting a return call. Never happened! Upon arriving without a reservation I inquired about the outdated answering machine message and the full message response. I was told there are only a couple working and they don't have time for phones. Other than that the park is well laid out, PLENTY OF SPACE IN THE LARGE SITES, and the employees are very helpful. Great location, good prices and clean!!! Certainly will stay there again in in the area! We camped at Maverick Ranch RV Park at Lajitas Resort in a Motorhome.

Louisville North Campground (formerly Louisville Metro KOA), Clarksville, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

While many previous reviewers give this KOA a poor rating I don't understand why. Did they not read the description, look at the pictures and read other reviews? This facility is here for one reason: It provides a campground close to the activities and venues in Louisville.

If you want a campground with large grassy areas, a place with wide spaces and grassy knolls, then look elsewhere. "You aren't in Kansas anymore, Dorothy!"

My wife and I have stayed at over 100 KOA's over the years. This one has the BEST, most FRIENDLY staff of most. Great people. Helpful.

The items in the store, while not WalMart priced, are fairly priced. Good variety. Their Kentucky horse racing hats at $7.00 are a bargain! In downtown Louisville the same hat was

$18.00.

We stayed at this one for 10 days. We feel extremely fortunate it is here. Hotels in Louisville are over $100/night, so this is a bargain!

Again, if you are looking for a grassy, park like setting you need to go elsewhere. If you want an ideally located, affordably priced, clean, friendly staffed KOA then this is it!!! We camped at Louisville North Campground (formerly Louisville Metro KOA) in a Motorhome.
