Jantzen Beach RV Park, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park increased their rates 25% this year. $45 seems a little steep for there but the wifi is now better. It was working when we stayed. Park also has been doing fix-ups to the place too. It is clean. Has a lot of permanent annual sites. I think $40 would be a better rate, but . . . It can be a bit noisy with airplanes landing and screeching tires from cars. We camped at Jantzen Beach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is on Hayden Island which has a new Cracker Barrel restaurant. IF you go shopping plan to be back before rush hour from Portland. I-5 is a parking lot. From Vancouver seems to be OK for rush hour commutes.

Rockwood Park, Saint John, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Like the other reviewers have said, it is a gravel parking lot with full services available. Some pull thrus. There are some view sites with grass and trees, but appear as most are taken up by annuals. They also have to put with the noise of the rail yard below. Could be quite noisy, beware if asking for a view site. Bathrooms & showers are clean. Value is good as it is close to town. We camped at Rockwood Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ponderosa Pines Family Campground, Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is too expensive for what you get. The 30 amp "view" lots are of a mosquito pond. Tiny toilets that need attention. This is a Good Sam Park with a bad customer attitude. Make sure you ask for the discount when registering. There are no Good Sam signs in the office. They have signs on their entrance fence near the road. After missing the signs first off and being a Good Sam member, I went in to ask about a refund for the 10% discount. Several excuses later and very begrudgingly they gave me the discount less a $2.00 "processing fee". Most parks ask "are you a Good Sam member" and have signs on their counter. Not this one. This is the only park close to Hopewell Rocks. IF another park opened up near here, I would suggest you stay there. We camped at Ponderosa Pines Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Kinsmen Prince Edward Park, Corner Brook, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Reserved full service and got it. WIFI does not work. There is a semi-permanent sign saying it is temporarily out of order. Young staff don't seem to be able to anything about it. Had a level spot with small trees on both sides of us. If using Garmin GPS, it points to across the street from actual location. Keep your eyes open for sign on left side. We camped at Kinsmen Prince Edward Park in a Travel Trailer.

IF you were going to go see the ship that was used in the movie Outlander, situated at Lark harbour, forget it. It has been removed.

Wabigoon Lake RV Park, Wabigoon, Ontario

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Space 3 was level and a pull-through. Just stayed overnight. Water not for drinking, because Ontario has some rule that the water has to be tested weekly; go figure. Gravel spot, with a picnic table, good power. Mgmt likes classic cars. If you are into that, you will have something in common. We would stay again. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bow RiversEdge Campground, Cochrane, Alberta

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Canadian dollars incl tax. As others have stated it is a nice park. Our pull thru wasn't. Sounds funny but the layout of the park had an entrance and an exit on the site but it was too tight a turn to make it a pull thru. Had to back out. Sometimes very windy here. Beautiful walk beside the Bow River. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pacific Border RV Park, Surrey, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Weekly rate is $252 CAD. We had reservations for a month. Upon arriving late and leaving early we expected to have to pay for the whole month. They gave us a refund! Totally unexpected. Very nice park, safe and right beside the truck border. WIFI is fast for an RV Park. Pool, hot tub, showers and washrooms very clean. All paved roads, level gravel spots with paving stones for patios. We will definitely return! We camped at Pacific Border RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
