Cowichan River Provincial Park, Stoltz Pool Campground, Lake Cowichan, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Clean sites. I didn't like that you can't have quiet music on past 10pm. We had little kids sleeping within feet of our fire and weren't woken by our music but they make you turn it off, can't even have it quiet. Sort of feels like I was a child with a curfew. Most places it's 11pm. Then the Rangers drive thru with a loud diesel at 11:30pm and wake everyone up. Been here twice and wasps are crazy! Otherwise a good time. It's hard to maneuver a large trailer thru the roads, windy with lots of trees.

River is nice. The sites stay cool during the day with the trees for shade. We camped at Cowichan River Provincial Park, Stoltz Pool Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pacheedaht Campground, Port Renfrew, British Columbia

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

If you go, don't go with high expectations for luxury. It's camping! They have a beautiful beach and really don't bother you out there. The sites are simple bump outs in the bush,no amenities really. Some on beach and some in the bush. Bring lots of extra water for your stay and wood for fires. Had a great time out there and will be there again this year. It's what you make it people! If you need a table go grab one from an open site. That's what they told us to do! We camped at Pacheedaht Campground in a Travel Trailer.
