Victoria Palms RV Resort, Donna, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi & cable TV are included in the rate. Huge variety of activities offered, especially January - March. Dances, many weekly card games, terrific wood working shop, wood carving group, wonderful sewing room. (Bring own machine if doing projects, like making clothes or quilts.) An active group makes hats for cancer patients every Wednesday in the winter season. Stained glass classes are taught in season. Computer classes held in season. Entertainment brought in from Branson, MO., etc. ("Tribute" shows ex. Beatles.) Various types of dance lessons given, dances & special events in large ballroom, etc., etc. There are billards, darts, shuffle board & table tennis groups & tournaments. The pool is great & 2 different water aerobic classes are offered week days in season. During the winter season there were music & snacks poolside one day per week. Holidays are celebrated with special events. One can't be bored here!

Season is between November to the end of March basically for we Winter Texans, but some activities continue year around as there are some permanent residents here also.

Very friendly park with lots to offer. Birding is popular in this part of Texas. There's a National Park close by & various small historical museums in the cities. Good churches in the area. A large Quilt & Creative Arts Show is held in the ballroom every even numbered year. We camped at Victoria Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Victoria Palms RV Resort, Donna, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed 3 months now & this was our 9th year. Residents are extremely friendly...wave, chat. Resort offers many amenities: ie. cable TV including PBS, WiFi, paved roads, computer room with help & many classes offered, exercise room, library, guest hotel with suites on site, restaurant on site, 2 laundry rooms, billiard room, shuffleboard & bocce ball courts, tennis & pickle ball courts, golf courses near by, large dog friendly areas.

There are many special interest clubs such as bike club, billiard club, golf club, bean bag group, darts which often have tournaments with other RV parks.

The wood shop has a very active group & wonderful equipment for resident's use. We have several talented wood carvers. Our sewing room group is very active (must bring own machines) & sponsor a very large bi-annual Quilt/Creative Arts Show. Also have stained glass room & scrapbook makers' group.

There are MANY card & other game groups meeting on weekly schedules. There are 2 pools & 2 hot tubs. There is a large exercise group meeting in our ballroom daily & water aerobics. Many dance classes are given for ballroom, clogging, line country, belly dances for ex.

Programs from Branson are brought in 1 or 2 times/month during Jan.-March season. Excellent. Dance bands entertain & music by the pool & many special events celebrated.

Our large Singles Group is very active with their own activities as well as joining many of the general park activities.

A few improvements needed are some repair of roads within park, landscape committee is working on individual site beautification, WiFi can be slow during busy time & wait staff service was sometimes slow this season except at our very popular Friday fish fry night.

One can't be bored at Victoria Palms! We love it here!! We camped at Victoria Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.
