Sands Country Cove Campground, Butterfield, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet and peaceful campground located on a good fishing lake with a dock, seating and a paddle boat. The owners are on site and very friendly and accommodating. Firewood is available and a bargain. It was very windy 2 or the 4 days we were there, we were on the top of the campground and we were rockin' and rollin'.

For all you quilters or seamstresses they have a very nice club house with several large rooms and 2 ping pong tables. They opened it up for me so I could do some cutting. An awesome facility. You could probably "hog"one room and lock it every night and your stuff would be safe. We camped at Sands Country Cove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Saint James, 8 miles away, is the closet shopping area. Plan ahead. Otherwise it is just a short 10 minute trip into town.

Red Barn RV Park, Tea, South Dakota

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here as it is close to Sioux Falls and our three sons. There is a constant hum from the 4 lane interstate 1 mile away and there is always a free airshow... really the local vanguards use the airstrip in Tea for their practicing. The site here is sufficient. Most of them are crushed rock; there are some pretty muddy ones though. The owners will allow you to make any changes as long as it is an improvement. Most of the people mow their own grass and do some paver patio and add plants. The pool isn't open right now as they are doing work on it. I don't know if or when it will open this summer. They have free wifi, but even with two receivers and 2 repeaters the wifi is sketchy at best. There is NO cable and you only get 10-12 channels. The owners are friendly and helpful. We camped at Red Barn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
