Winter Quarters Manatee RV, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Well, we're batting 3 for 3 with Encore parks. The price to value ratio here is outrageous - the price is 2.25 times higher than anything we've paid here in Florida this winter and our site is horrible. Although I did expect to pay more because we're closer to the coast, I didn't expect the poor site conditions.

We arrived in the rain and the site was a mud pit - standing water and slushy ground. Backing in was tricky because of a tree stump on the inside of the turn. Our site backs up to I-75 and slopes down toward the back. I had to place 2x12s under the rear jacks and they got pushed into the mud and one broke cross grain! We can't get as level as I'd like. The area in front of the RV where we have to park the car looks like a couple of kids went 4-wheeling in it.

We asked to be relocated, but nothing was available. All things considered, I'd rate this as no more than a $30/night site. We camped at Winter Quarters Manatee RV in a Motorhome.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Conveniently close to I-15, but not so close as to hear it so it is quiet. We were met with friendly, smiling faces upon our arrival. We enjoyed chatting with the staff. Campsites are level and graveled-lots of weed growth but that didn't detract from its use. Although we didn't use the restrooms or showers, I did take a look at them and found them of high standards. The laundry room, which I did use, was neat and clean with front loader washers, but felt the price for the dryers was too high for the number of minutes given and they did not dry my clothes well at all. I informed them and was they were expecting their repairman out anyway and would have him check. Nice play structure for children, too, if you have them. The views are wonderful. Located next door to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort makes it a more fun stay. The prices are reasonable to be able to go soak in their pools all day long if desired. There are several historical places to go in the surrounding area as well. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grocery and hardware stores in nearby Anaconda. Anything bigger, Butte is 16 miles close. Worth visiting Fairmont Hot Springs Resort for a great swim. Starting in mid-May, one can go to Gem Mountain in historical Philipsburg to find sapphires and shop for jewelry.
