Red Gates RV Park, Hendersonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Love this small park! It is an older park, but it is in immaculate condition. Our site is grassy, but well manicured and huge! The park managers are wonderful people. WiFi is very good, no cable, but no problem with satellite reception. Fishing pond here as well as a little sandy beach but, just passing through and won't be able to utilize them. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Red Gates RV Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Isles Vacation Park, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from I-95. Plenty of room for our 38' Class A in an overnight pull through site. Roads are gravel but perfectly fine. Sites are grass but very neat. The only issue we had with the site was a lot of little ant beds. Mgmt needs to treat for ants. Did not use the wifi so can't comment. CATV was available but you had to rent a box. We used our satellite. The showers are very nice, updated and very clean. Site mostly open and sunny, one tree at end of site Stayed here with Passport America. We camped at Golden Isles Vacation Park in a Motorhome.

Indianapolis KOA, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park. Unusually good wifi for a koa. Excellent tv reception. Odd park layout, almost like two parks, but easy to navigate. We reserved a Deluxe site. Sites are very large with great patios. There is a very nice dog park, but I got a tick on me when walking the dog in the park. Down side is, very, very loud traffic noise. the deluxe sites are situated right off the highway and behind some sort of RV dealership. Bright light for the dealership lot and constant loud noise from the interstate took away from the ambiance of the campfire. However, if you are just looking for a travel stop, this is a good one. Easy access to and from the highway. The pool was closed for the winter season and there was no reduction in rate for lack of amenities. Great camp store. We camped at Indianapolis KOA in a Motorhome.

Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious, deluxe pull-through site. Layout seems very confusing and difficult to maneuver if you aren't familiar. Was easy to get in and out with camp guide. Very nice, deluxe sites with an assortment of patio layouts. Easy access from I75.

Wifi was almost non-existent and only 1-2 bars on ATT cell. Tv was great. Laundry room was very clean, but not efficient. Washers $1.50 for 20 minute was. Dryers .75 for 20 minute dry. 2 cycles did not dry 5 towels.

Pool area is in the center of the park and was a mess. Looked like it was used for storage. Water was sitting in the pool and has turned into a bullfrog pond. They were very loud all night long. No decrease in rates for off-season with no amenities. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in and out from I75. Large pull-through at front of park. Rained the whole time, but gravel lot did not puddle. Great dog walk area in a clean park. Was disappointed by camp store as we did not want to unhook our Toad. Little to no food in store. Would like to see them stock at least the basics. Very nice staff. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Motorhome.
