Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite park in the Las Vegas area. The location is prefect, the grounds beautiful, and the staff very helpful. We got a Premium pull-through space, which includes grass and a level concrete pad. While close to I-15 we hardly ever heard any road noise. The showers are clean and private. The grounds are like a good hotel. Two pools, one adult only, and a club house with activities. Very good access to casinos, and 24 hr security at the gate. This was our second stay with them and we are planning to return this fall. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was a welcome discovery. We needed a transit park with easy freeway access and spacious pull-throughs, we got it here. There are many large trees which block the wind and help muffle some of the noise. There is some freeway and train noise, but they did not disturb our sleep. Fairly level gravel sites. Very nice clean private shower rooms. This will become a regular stop for us when traveling through Arizona. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mather Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We could not get into the Trailer Village so we stayed at Mather for our visit to the Grand Canyon. No hookups here, but lots of space. We lucked out and got a space at the end of the loop, space 79. Plenty of room for our trailer and truck on a gravel pull-out. Picnic table and fire ring on site. We camped at Mather Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

When making reservations through Recreation.gov be sure to read the fine print about your site. Some sites in Mather position your RV such that you door opens to the road.

The shower house is about 1/4 mile or more from the campsites, costs $2.00 for an eight minute shower. It gets the job done but is not very luxurious.

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa RV Park, Ojo Caliente, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason to stay here is to enjoy the hot springs. The sites are small, so make sure your rig will fit. You have to pay $18.00 to use the hot springs, and this includes use of the showers and towels. Bring your own lock and use one of the lockers, or extra $$ to rent from them. Water and electric at most sites, dump station on the way out. Had a great stay and will likely stay again when we need a soak. We camped at Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
