Rocky Top Campgrounds & Cabins, Tecumseh, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Located one mile west of Tecumseh on Hwy 160. It is a wooded campground on top of a hill. Most sites under shade trees with a few pull-throughs with a satellite view. In early November we were the only campers there. Owners were friendly and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful. No problems encountered. We camped at Rocky Top Campgrounds & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Rancheria Lodge and RV Park, Swift River, Yukon

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Actually stayed in June, 2015 on the way to Alaska. Price was $20 Canadian which posted as $15.28 on our America credit card after the exchange rate conversion. Good for an overnight stay. We had an electric site. The women's shower was not working, so we both used the men's shower with a lookout. Water fill available at the shower house. Dump station also available. My surge protector system complained a few times. I assumed the power was questionable but we didn't need the AC or heater. The microwave worked ok when we used it. The park was not crowded, we chose our own site, and for an overnight it was adequate. The price was reasonable and the limited facilities are somewhat expected along this remote stretch in the Yukon. We've had far worse at twice the price in a park in Alaska. We camped at Rancheria Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Montana Creek Campground, Willow, Alaska

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

$25 with Good Sam for a dry site. No amenities, no electric/water/sewer, no showers, portapotties only, no dump station, and the central water fill station was broken. The electric only sites were $45. Definitely way overpriced. There is a state park across the road for $15 for dry sites in parking lot style camping. There is another RV park 5 miles down the Parks highway from this one with hookups but I didn't see it before I checked into this one. The big draw for this campground is fishing in Montana Creek. But check the fishing regulations, the Creek was closed to fishing until July 15 for the salmon run this year. They don't tell you this until after you've paid for a site. We camped at Montana Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Red Bluff Campground, Davisville, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Forest Service campground on the Huzzah creek. During the week in October I had the lower loop to myself. Fall colors were beautiful. The non-electric sites were nice and level. The few electric single sites are large but are unfortunately not level and the pads are narrow. There are a few double electric sites that are level but twice the price. Site 28 was the most level of the single electric sites. We camped at Red Bluff Campground in a Motorhome.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

$15.00 price reflects Passport America discount. Definitely a descent park to stay when passing through or working in the area. Recent landscaping and other improvements are evident. The manager was prompt when I called the number posted on the office door and escorted us to our pull-through site. The pads are new gravel but dirt off the pad. Big rigs OK. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good restaurant within walking distance so you don't to unhook your toad or tow vehicle.
