Las Quintas Oasis RV Resort (55+ park), Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Large park convenient to the freeway, shopping and restaurants. Sites are gravel with a small concrete pad (step out). We stayed in the front section which I do not recommend due to the freeway noise. We had to use ear plugs to sleep. We stayed 4 nights while we visited Los Algodoness dentists. We walked the park and found the sites farther back to be large and quiet. I would come back here again if I could stay toward the back. There is a really nice pool and club house with lots of activities. We camped at Las Quintas Oasis RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Silverado RV Resort (formerly Desert Valley RV Resort), Eloy, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second time to stay in Silverado. Our first visit was in winter 2015-16. The park management has changed but the park is well run by friendly folks that want to be of service. This park is close enough to town for grocery runs but far enough away from traffic. The park is small, about 300 sites. Gravel with concrete pads. Good water pressure. Utilities are on back of lot so have 30' of sewer hose, water hose and electrical plug cord. The heated pool is nice as is the hot tub. Both are kept clean. Pool area has nice outdoor furniture. Nice pickle ball courts with friendly players. If I were to winter again in the Case Grande area, this is where I'd stay. An escort guides you to your site and checks back with you after you are set up. They will even assist with backing if you want. I do want to point out that I-10 is nearby and some road noise can be heard. There is a train but it is non intrusive. Note that there is no feed lot smell like the parks in Case Grande proper. We camped at Silverado RV Resort (formerly Desert Valley RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park, Congress, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the overnight section. We had shade! They have a beautiful cactus garden that was incredible. The folks that live there are very friendly. We attended a pot luck and met many nice folks. They have an indoor pickle ball court. This would be a good place to purchase a lot if we were ready to stop traveling. It is really nice here. Not much I can about the actual site as it was just a safe place to park but the overall park is very nice. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Point Beach State Forest, Two Rivers, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Quiet. Some low branches but not too many. Our site was electric only. Plus you must purchase entry permit for $7 so total cost was $35 for an electric only site. Our site as were most, level enough. We camped at Point Beach State Forest in a Motorhome.

Floodwood Campground, Floodwood, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place to stop for a night. Nice setting, run by the city (aka police). The grass was mowed and there are a lot of trees and shade. The St Louis River is along the rear of the sites. Take mosquitos spray. There is no water available nor dump station. It is primitively with only 30 AMP service. It worked for us in a 40' class A but it was tight getting in. A few low branches. It had a pick nic table. We camped at Floodwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Curry Park, Ironwood, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park has only 10 or so sites for large rigs. The rest were good for tents and class c's maybe. The shower/restrooms were clean but old. There were hooks and benches. I had a full hookup site but for 25$ seemed pricey concede ring the park setting. The big rig loop was easy to enter but we backed out because there was low branches and a tight turn to pull through. We camped at Curry Park in a Motorhome.

West Lake Park, Summit Campground, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Easy ingress and egress, which is important to us in a 40' Class A with a tow-behind. Roads are easy to navigate. Showers were clean and convenient and the office/store was open late. Utilities require 50' of water hose and a minimum 20' for sewer. Concrete patio with picnic table and all sites were level. No reservations: first-come-first-served. Would have given it a "10," but it did not have pool or laundry facilities. Had a nice playground for the kids, sold firewood and had recycle bins. Camping World just down the road about 2 miles. We camped at West Lake Park, Summit Campground in a Motorhome.

Good place for a few nights. Swimming pool not yet open but looked nice. Everything in the park was clean, well kept but oldish and outdated. The price was not equal to quality but was still a good safe clean park. We camped at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground in a Motorhome.

Irwin Park , Edinburgh, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great tiny park. RVparking is level, hard surface with water and electricity up to 50 Amps. Electric post looked new. Water is below ground but easy to hook up. Dump station and port-a-potties nearby in park. Picnic tables. Backs to River. Big field, basketball courts, playground equipment in good condition. This is a real gem. About 10 minutes off of I-65. Registration at park service building 3 miles away. We camped at Irwin Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park, Macon, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park next to a lake. The campground is amongst rolling hills so not all the pads are level. We are in a 40' class A and on space 1, had to drive front tires up on 3" of blocking to level front to back. I will list lots that are mostly level. If you are in a fifth wheel or bumper pull you should be okay from a level stand point. There is a nice swimming beach, playground, frisbee golf and fishing. The park is quiet except at 6 pm there is a small amount of traffic on the road outside the park. The rest of the time it is very quiet. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were spacious and secluded, as they are heavily wooded, giving lots of shade. Easy access to I-75. The park was quiet, peaceful and offered many amenities: nice biking or walking trails, very nice gift shop which also rented bikes and canoes, museum of both Stephen Foster and the Carillon. Easy access to the river. They have a Folk Festival during Memorial Day weekend, but was quiet during our visit. Many artist workshops available. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Motorhome.

Joy O RV Park, Denmark, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Fee is based on weekly rate. We stayed here for access to East Memphis/Bartlett to visit family. Nice folks. Park is small and old but they take good care everything. The pool was closed for the season but it was clean and well maintained and looked rather new. The laundry, restrooms and showers have not been updated since probably the 1970's. That said, they were clean and well stocked. The power posts are wooden 4x4's that are near the end of their life. The electrical box did not have a breaker. I used a Power Defender surge protector that tests the circuits and the electrical checked out for 30 AMPS. They have 50 AMPS at some sites and these had newer boxes and looked like recent upgrades. Each site has a trash can but the picnic tables are plastic folding event tables and are in poor condition as you may image an indoor table being used outdoors. Road noise was low considering the proximity to I-40. Lots of trees and plenty of room between campers. We have stayed or looked at other campgrounds in the area and this felt safer and in better condition. There is very little to choose from if you are visiting this side of Memphis. I would stay here again. We camped at Joy O RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Let's start with the bad stuff...there wasn't any bad stuff. I rarely give 5 stars to anything but the most posh resorts. This park was the best state park we have ever stayed at. Great mostly level concrete pads, small camp store, things to do, clean bath houses that looked nearly new, etc. We camped at Indian Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.
