The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of our all time favorite RV parks for fast and competent check-in, extra wide and clean sites, good utilities, and outstanding amenities. We would rate it our all time best if they would improve the weak, slow, drop-out prone wifi that has plagued their excellence for years. We camped at The Mill Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

New owner was a prince, and very friendly and helpful. There are a bunch of folks cleaning, mowing and doing maintenance, keeping the place immaculate. Our gravel space had a lot of room between rigs and was level. There is grass between spaces. Despite fronting on two-lane Highway 40, it was quiet. The park is great for easy access to Whitefish/Columbia Falls and Glacier National Park. We will go back. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This presents itself as a TV "Resort". Check in was fast and easy. It has decent room between sites, plenty of shade. Our site was shorted a table. The laundry had broken machines. An employee summoned by another guest came in, pointed out several machines that he knew were broken, but didn't label them or provide any help, and just left. Sewer is at the back of the sites and difficult to reach even with a 20' hose. Internet was slow and dropped out a lot. There were a full-timers with ugly bags of stuff and ugly insulation panels around their rigs. Their is swimming available, a dirty tennis court and large field on the west. It is near a bunch of shopping and restaurant options. It's OK, but I was disappointed that it didn't seem to live up to its hype. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Moose Crossing RV, Mackay, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The previous reviewer got it right. This is an all-pull-through park. Out gravel site was mostly level (one block). The water and electric were good. Our site had a nice grass area and excellent picnic table. We barely fit in our site with a 23' trailer and pickup, but there were larger rigs in the park. The host was friendly and accommodating. Above all it was quiet. We only stayed one night, but would consider staying longer in this beautiful area. We camped at Moose Crossing RV in a Travel Trailer.

Orovada RV Park Shell Station, Orovada, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Small 9 space park almost exactly 40 miles from nowhere else. It was a great overnight stop. Great farming and mountain vistas abound. Long and wide pull through gravel site with good power and water/sewer. Folks at the station and locals alike were very nice. The small breakfast cafe was excellent. We camped at Orovada RV Park Shell Station in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This very clean park is right at the south end of the Boise Airport and right next to the Highway 84 freeway. That said, it is not all that noisy; we had no problems with jet or traffic noise the three nights we were here. Check-in was fast and efficient. We were led to our sight by the very polite and helpful manager. The restrooms and showers were spotless. The park is all paved pull-throughs. Our 23 footer and pickup used up the entire site. There is a small strip of grass between sites and lots of shade trees, well trimmed back for the rigs. Water and power were good. Got about fifty off-air TV channels. Pay ($3/day) Wi-Fi was OK speed and dependable. Turns are tight, and roads are narrow. We saw plenty of larger rigs that squeezed in. Very convenient to downtown and freeway access. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

When you come off the 84 freeway onto S. Vista, you immediately face the entrance to Boise Airport. You MUST turn left immediately on W Airport Road before the airport entrance or end up in the airport. Check- in will only accommodate a single rig.

Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park), Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a week. Crowded this time of year (pre-season major league baseball). This is always our go-to place when visiting. Sites are close together. I saw awnings up against other coaches. Sites are long enough for just about any rig. Utilities work well, area is clean. The bath/laundry/indoor pool is several hundred yards away, but are modern and clean. They have changed pay wi-fi providers since our last visit, and it is better thid year. Close to Phx Int'l Raceeway, easy-in to downtown PHX and the rest of the valley. We camped at Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Arabian RV Oasis, Boron, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stay. Quick and friendly reservation call, quick check-in. Good power and water (didn't use sewer). Nearly level (one block) site. Sites are gravel, about average width, no slide or awning problems. Gas station and grocery nearby. Fair wi-fi, no drops. Has cable, too. Exceeded my expectations at a great price. We camped at Arabian RV Oasis in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Amargosa RV Park, Amargosa Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A great overnight place. Them manager is always friendly and helpful. Gravel sites are clean and level. Bathrooms are clean. Wi-fi works pretty good for being in the back-of-beyond for technology. Water and power are very good. There is a new Chevron service station right in front of the park, and the old Fort Amargosa store has re-opened. Of course, the Area 51 Travel Center (with cafe and brothel museum) is open right across the highway. We love stopping at this RV park on trips through the area. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

About 20 minutes east of crowded and busy Kingman, in the country. This is a well run and clean park. Pull thru's are long and level gravel. Power and water are fine. Didn't use the cable tv. Though neighbors complained about the wifi speed, we found it plenty fast for e-mail and research on RV Park Reviews. Office staff was super efficient and friendly. Hwy 40 is about a quarter mile away, but the noise didn't bother us. Wish we had discovered it a long time ago. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Trailer Lane RV Park, Weed, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here at least twice a year on our trips to/from the north coast. The owners are always friendly and helpful. Shady spots are available. The shower/restroom is basic and always clean. The hookups are well maintained and nicely situated. You can hear the nearby traffic on I-5, but once we batten down for the night, we sleep without it bothering us. Downtown Weed is not far off, with plenty of gas stations, etc. Easy freeway on/off. We camped at Trailer Lane RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Port of Newport RV Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Host Clay is a treasure, and really helped us enjoy our stay. He knows about everything about the area, provided an orientation, maps and brochures. Office staff was pleasant and professional, checked us in quickly. Pull through site is paved and level. Sites are separated by low shrubs. No shade, but you don't need it in this cool environment. Sites are wide enough for slides, but cozy. All the utilities worked. A lot of campers let their dogs roam off-leash, and we didn't appreciate that. But I would rate this park the best in the area, and a great base to explore Oregon's central coast. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Mill Casino RV Park, North Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Great as usual. Their wifi has improved since our last stay, The staff is polite and professional. The free shuttle service to anywhere in Coos Bay or North Bend is great. There is some road noise from nearby highway 101, but it quiets down at night and never keeps us awake . Sites are super level with good hookups. Sites have foliage between them and are wide enough to park our trailer and truck side-by-side. We really appreciate a professional RV park, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area. Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A gem of a campground! We had a spot backing up to a private deck on the small lake. Wonderful for just un-laxing and campfire. Everything about the place was spotless and everything worked, including great and fast wifi, crystal clear tv. Small laundry worked well. Single shower but the bathrooms were spotless. The staff was friendly and eager to tell us what was available in the area. They provided lots of handouts with suggestions and directions. The grounds are a riot of well tended plants and shrubs. We wish we could have stayed a month. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Gouldings is tucked in a gorgeous red slip rock canyon a few miles west of the Navajo Monument Valley Park. You pay for the location. Check in was OK; staff perfunctory but professional. Interior roads are paved but narrow; had a [problem getting out when the park allowed rigs too long for some sites in. Utilities were first rate. Cable snowy first two nights, OK on the third night. Wi-fi was excellent. Campground store doesn't have much except tourist junk, but there is a good grocery store a half mile away, with a large gas station/convenience store nearby. Ate dinner at Gouldings Lodge. The food was forgettable and the service as perfunctory as the check in. But the campground is by far the best (only?). We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It can cost over $100 per person for the guided tours of Monument Valley. But for $20 entrance fee you can make the seventeen mile loop drive in your own car and see almost everything the tours see.

Do NOT MISS Valley of the Gods, a beautiful scenic drive very similar to Monument Valley, without the crowds. It is BLM land and FREE!. Drive 40 minutes of so north on Hwy 163, about ten miles north of Mexican Hat to Forest Road 242. Valley of the Gods info is easy to find in a Google search.
