Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The check in lady was so very rude we almost left but we were so tired we choose to overlook. But it just got worse, The first site had tree limbs that blocked getting into it. The second site had tree which no big rig could get around. Finally the third site was OK. Gravel in park needs redoing. The park is beautiful and creek is great. A nicer check in lady would make this place a gem. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Renfro Valley KOA, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

No big rigs should use this KOA. The roads in and out are too steep. The sites are not level and to narrow. There is no water pressure. Not up to KOA standards. Small campers might be OK if very careful using exit road. We camped at Renfro Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Rapid City / Black Hills KOA, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Big rig friendly. They let me wash the bugs off front of RV. Site was almost level. We had premium site with no patio. Our site was asphalt, a must since some sites were muddy. Very quiet yet right off Hwy 44. Staff gave us a great map to all the sites. We camped at Rapid City / Black Hills KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Junction KOA, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Lady that led us to spot seem to hate her job and helping us

We had a premium site. That gave us some grass, table and unlevel pavers with gravel mostly for RV to sit on. Cable was not good but satellite worked. Doggie park was a ways to get too but there were 2 pens to use. This campground close to grocery store, restaurants, bank and right off Hwy 50. For us it was a place to stay not to sit and enjoy campground. So it worked just fine. Roads were gravel. Not easy to maneuver the 40 ft coach pulling jeep but doable. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Colorado Springs KOA, Fountain, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Loudest campground ever. Army doing ammunition drills early every day. Trains all day long and Air Force jets hitting sound barrier most of day. Plus the traffic on I-25 is loud. Cable is a joke. Power lines over the coach interfered with satellite reception. The doggie park was at the far end of pull through sites. But we saw some of campgrounds close to Garden of Gods and pikes peak and we were thrilled with out choice. We had some repairs to do and the staff gave us number of very nice and very smart mechanic that came to us. We would stay here again. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

There is no pool. The premium site we had was somewhat level. Only saw one class A with front tires off ground to level. The narrow sidewalk from RV steps to rear parking for our tow kept mud off our shoes. It was a gravel drive in and site was gravel. Cable was not great but our satellite worked. The dog walk area around park is nice. There is also doggie pen to let them run off leash. The managers are very helpful. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Wonderland RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The manager and is very helpful. He made sure he got all our questions answered. He even called the ranger to ask about condition of a trail we wanted to do. Our site was level, had grass, and great views of Black Mt. There are big grassy areas to walk your pets.

There are trees but they did not block out satellite reception. Our pull through site had room for our 40 ft RV and Toad with lots more space and plenty of space for slides. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Outdoor Living RV Park, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Site had some gravel. Mostly permanent residents but all were helpful. Staff gave great info on scenic roads to see. No amenities. We walked dogs in front area. The lawn company sprayed weed killer all over our tires and rims of RV and jeep. We complained and they let us wash RV and toad for free. This was a no frills campground but all the hook ups worked and we felt safe. We camped at Outdoor Living RV Park in a Motorhome.

Do the scenic Arkansas Canyon tour and eat shrimp creole at Jasper Arkansas Cafe. Pricey but just like eating in New Orleans which is where cook/owner is from. Ride down to Steel Creek Canyon and see some great sites. Do the drive through Boxley Canyon in early morning or late evening and see the Elk.

We stayed here because Graceland RV park clean. We are really glad we stayed here as this was very nice park. Paved roads, and paved sites. Not real level but OK. Great Satellite reception. Restaurants and shopping were very close. It was quiet here and felt very safe and only 8 miles from Graceland. Seems to be lots of permanent campers. Very easy to move around in campground. Great doggie park. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Led to our space premium spot. Had very nice paved site with table and chairs and very level. Doggie park. Paved roads. They picked up garbage if left outside before 10am. Satellite reception good. Very nice staff. But noise from interstate was significant when outside. Lots of full timers here but separated from travelers. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Oklahoma City East KOA, Choctaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Hard to maneuver our 40 ft RV. Lots of red dirt. Trees in way but got slides out. We did not get premium site but should have. Site u level but got satellite reception cable was bad. Very hard to find way out. Trash bin was not convientent at all. They did have below ground tornado protection but never mentioned it. Nor was it on brochures. It is quiet campground, great for rest. Diesel truck station just down road. This KOA is just off I-40 but hard to turn into as it has blind turn on top of hill. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

All gravel everywhere. Giggle park. Had tornado plan for campers. Easy in and out. Noise from trains all night and highway noise but felt safe and impossible to tract dirt in because gravel was so thick. Free limo ride to steak house where food was good and reasonable prices. Check out Palo Canyon in Amarillo. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Motorhome.
