Answer: The sites are first-come-first served. We got there in the late afternoon, mid-week in late April and there was one spot left. Not sure if this answers your question...

Answer: The way we saw it working is as soon as site comes up free, you move in and then it is yours. When check in time comes you go check in even if you have already been on the site for a few hours. But if you wait until check in time, you'll probably be sorry because all the sites will already be taken. People circled like hawks and the instant someone pulled out, their site was taken. When we were getting ready to leave we had people asking us when we were going and one couple waited in the parking lot and raced in as soon as we pulled out.

Answer: Park is self check in via a machine in the office, you can check in 24/7. You want to find a site then go check in as the first question the machine will ask is what site are you on. Some days the park is full but we hosted here for 3 months early this year and by lunch each day at least 10 sites were empty. Great park, have fun.

Answer: I believe the check in is around noon. Since the sites are walk in, the camp host usually calls the ranger station at 10 and 4 with the number of open sites. I would recommend calling the Rangers office after 10 to see how many sites are open.
