Stayed here weekend after Thanksgiving... we were the only ones in the campground.... very friendly ranger... even gave us firewood. No sewer... but there is a private campground right outside the entrance of the state forest that allows use of the dump station for $10. No water hookups at the site.... but central water at camp store (which was closed for the season) so we just filled our fresh water tank... Site 15 was the most level pull through we could find. Expect wildlife to investigate your rig overnight. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautiful state forest. The sites are close to- gether. We made reservations for this campground on our way to a national park. A word of caution, the route into the forest campground has a single lane tunnel which is shared with a creek and utility lines. The tunnel has several vertical clearance restriction signs ranging from 9'-2" to 15'- 2". It very important that your vehicle favor the curbline along the center of the tunnel. The camp site was not level. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I gave this campground a 5 rating because although it was quiet, peaceful and relaxing, it lacked a lot. There really wasn't anything for my 2 young daughters to do. The playground was too far to walk or ride your bike. There also is no dump station at this campground. The showers were somewhat nasty. My wife refused to take a shower. The bathroooms were clean. It is pretty small and may be suitable for an overnight stay since it is only about 5 minutes from I-64 at White Sulpher Springs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
