Oct 2018 - $5.00
I was in the tent camping area. There were 3 employees working at the Marina. When I got to my campsite the trash cans on all sites were full and trash scattered by raccoons. I stayed 3 nights and not once did anyone come empty the trash cans. No toilet paper in bathrooms. Found that out the hard way. There is so much work to do there. If there are 3 employees only 1 should be at the Marina, especially since all they sell is ice. The others need to be cleaning up the campsites and bathrooms. Great place on the lake. Very beautiful. But it is being so neglected. - Badonkadonk
May 2017 - $20.00
I read all the bad reviews. Thought it couldn't be that bad. It is. This campground seems to be a neglected step child among the mostly decent military campgrounds that I have been to. Our pad and the other TT accompying us had to be elevated 5 inches just to be close to level. Our two pads were dirt only. The picnic tables were on ground so unlevel a coffee cup slid off. Our pad required a 100' back-in, downhill, on dirt and pine straw, with a 90 degree turn at the bottom. Next to it is was an array of three TTs sitting at all different angles in a hillside with so much stuff scattered about it looked like a yard sale. If you come here avoid sites 41, 42, 51 and possibly others. Better yet go across the lake to the State Park. We wanted to do that but waited too late for Memorial weekend reservations. Now we know why this place was available. - Tidy Boy
Sep 2014 - $20.00
The location of this park on Lake Martin is great, but park amenities are in extreme disrepair. Our site was water/electric only right on the lake with its own dock and good tree coverage. But the site was so unlevel that even with leveling jacks it took over an hour to level it. The entire campground is ant infested so bring at least 2-3 cans of ant killer because they will get in and on your RV. The bathrooms are full of spiderwebs, ants, and black mold. Only one of the two showers in the men's and women's bathrooms worked and the sink in the women's bathroom actually fell out of the wall. When I tried to use the dumping station, it was full of ants and over flowing with sewage. For the kids there is a small beach and a new playground. Boats are also available for rent. - Cap'n G

Nov 2016 - $35.00
This is a plain Jane RV park. Sites are close for the most part. The actual address city is Waverly, but it is not an acceptable city for this review for some reason. Sites are gravel. Monthly rate is currently $400. Owner friendly and helpful. There are stables, so you can bring your horse. Walking paths and a lake. It is very quiet. Was also told that the web site of www.rvandstables.com was not correct, but it worked for me. Shopping within two miles or so. - bilmo

Jun 2018 - $30.00
Have stayed at this park many times. Great owners. More of football tailgating park. No wifi or cable TV. - J&E
Oct 2017 - $45.00
We reserved for a two night stay, non-game weekend. Drove through hundreds of empty, parked RVs, obviously "permanent" tailgaters - to the office. One person who couldn't assign a space to us. Phoned for instructions, gave us a spot. We followed directions to a series of back-in spaces that we were told to utilize as a pull-through (we'd requested a pull through on the phone). Was not easy to do because of placement of sewers and water. We shared the experience with another couple who had been assigned "our space" as well. Park was quiet, dumpster looked like it hadn't been emptied since the last game weekend. Definately doesn't qualify as a resort in our minds. Does not seem amenable to overnighters in our estimation. - Flsnowflake
May 2016 - $40.00
Spent two nights at University Station during graduation. This is a very large park with well kept parking spots. Some RV parking locations had a slight slope down hill to a level parking spot. Our spot was 80' long.
Pros: very nicely maintained park, good water pressure and electrical service, all utilities were correctly located on the lot. Very nice shade trees, grass manicured, packed gravel lot.
Cons: No signage providing directions to the office. Directly across the street from the train tracks. Once past the office, the road becomes gravel. There had been some heavy rain earlier in the week and water had eroded the road resulting in some small ditches carved in the road.
Overall, a very nice park and we'll be back again. - Maddog11

Nov 2017 - $42.00
Have stayed here 4 times now - is halfway point for our travels from NC to NOLA. Place is immaculate! Pull thru concrete sites are level and super convenient! The outside areas added are gorgeous for special activities. Linda is so helpful to work with getting a site during our travels! Had coffee made for our departure this am! Would definitely recommend and will stay here again! - rwright
May 2017 - $44.00
We stayed here for two nights and loved it. Very clean and had concrete pads. Couldn't get cable to come in but didn't need it since gone both days for wedding. The people are mainly permanent but very nice. Would stay again. One of cleanest rv spots ever stayed in. - Charlotte reece
Mar 2016 - $45.00
Way overpriced! There is nothing here to justify $45/night WITH the discount. Not even a dog walk area. Just take your dogs down the row and let 'em rip on someone else's living space. Not my preferred method. I had one of the 1/2 dozen concrete pull throughs which was not level by any means. The spaces are tight, the gravel interior roads very rough, the garbage cans (no dumpster) were overflowing (I counted 4 for the entire park) and were not emptied during the 2 days I was there. And this is off season. But the people were very nice! That is a plus! I guess if your are an Auburn football fan you might be grateful just to have a place to park and party. But since I am not an Auburn football fan this park fell way, way short. How Good Sam could rate it an 8/10/10 is totally beyond me - and makes me totally suspicious of their review system. Not again. I will try something else if I ever visit Auburn again. I have a 42' and pull a full size pick up. There was enough room to maneuver in the park but it was just enough. - kdlee747

Sep 2018 - $28.00
We have camped at Wind Creek for 20+ years. Have always enjoyed it because it gives us access to the lake and is close to home. Some things to be aware of are that starting in 2018, from March 1 to October 31 ALL waterfront sites have to be reserved for 7 days. You can still walk up and you *might* be able to rent a waterfront site for fewer than 7 days, if one is available. Keep in mind that most of them do NOT have sewer connections, so you will need to bring a portable dump tank or plan to disconnect and dump if staying a while. Something else to be aware of if you are bringing water toys is that a lot of the waterfront sites now have huge boulders in the water to create a sort of sea wall (prevent erosion), so you might have a water VIEW, but no water ACCESS (even though you pay extra). The older sites need a lot of work - badly. When these were created, most RVs didn't have slides so you will need to be careful with placement of your RV. A lot have tree roots pushing the pavement up. The roads are one way and very narrow on the loops, which makes the sites even harder to back into, especially if it's crowded or a lot of people parked right next to the road (which is common). But all in all it is a nice park, it just needs to be updated. There are no other campgrounds nearby, so it's pretty much take it or leave it in this area. - DebDeb
Apr 2018 - $28.00
We had a delightful four night stay at this very large campground (over 500 sites) in April 2018. Our site did require leveling on blocks but was long enough for our 27 foot trailer and tow vehicle. Sites appear to be undergoing renovation and some of the renovated sites on the water had concrete surfaces. Ours was asphalt in reasonably good shape. The lake is beautiful. There were few campers during the week but the park filled up on the weekend. We had no problems with noise even on the weekend. This is a good park for overnight or stays of a week or more. Waterfront sites require a 7 day stay. Two night minimum stay for weekends on all sites and 3 night minimum for holiday weekends. - Florida 55
Apr 2018 - $52.00
This is a huge park , a little off the beaten path but beautiful. We stayed in the new luxury section that has 55 spots, all 50 amps, concrete pads, sewer and right on the water. Sites are large with plenty of room to maneuver our 45 ft. with towed. The only problem we ran into was if you make reservations for one of these sites in advance you must stay 7 nights, if you just walk-in you can stay for only 1-2 nights if you like. This is a very popular weekend park during the season so it stays busy and can be a little noisy with boats and children at times. There are horse trails , fishing, lake swimming and boat launch facilities and it is excellently maintained with gated entrance and plenty of security. The closest restaurants are in Alexander City which is about 5 miles as is the closest Walmart. There is a Dollar General store about a mile from the park which is great for cokes, snacks, ice, etc. Will definitely stay again. - bg3putts

Dec 2018 - $40.00
We love visiting Auburn and this was our first time camping there. The park is very conveniently located just off the interstate and a short drive into town. Between people staying for football season and the many visitors utilizing the numerous trails for hiking and biking, the park shows some wear, but things are clean so it is fine for us. The lake is great for fishing, swimming, or kayaking. We had full LTE cell service (AT&T). We would stay here again. We stayed one night in site #35, a pull thru site with full hook ups. - texasAUtiger
Mar 2017 - $40.00
My family really enjoyed our stay at the park. There are plenty of hiking trials and I highly recommend the trail that goes to the waterfall. My son also enjoyed the many bike trails that they have. This is a very wooded park and it is very peaceful while near the town of Auburn. The only reason that I did not give the park a 10 star rating is that they have gravel campsites instead of concrete. - Happy Camper 60
Mar 2017 - $32.00
Nice spacious campsites. We stayed during a quiet time of year although there were day visitors using the mountain bike trails and fishing. The mountain bike trails were at all different levels and there was a paved bike trail just outside the park's entrance. - Hikers

This park is out of the way by quite a bit. We had trouble finding it even with GPS. However once we got there, we were very happy we found it. sites are concrete and level. Everything worked fine. Gave it a 9 instead of 10 because of its location and they only take cash or checks. - Bojangles
Sep 2017 - $35.00
We camped here for an MSU/AU football game. The location was excellent. We were able to catch a shuttle for the game at the next exit west on I85. The manager and staff were friendly and accommodating. The camp ground and facilities were clean and well maintained. The facility is owned by the city of Opelika, AL. They make reservations by phone and accept cash or checks when you arrive. - jwindham
Sep 2017 - $35.00
We fled in a MotorCoach from central FL and Hurricane Irma to this delightful rv park. What a gem of a park ! Concrete level pads, full hookups all around, lush grass, superb gravel roomy interior roads. All just 6 miles off I-85 expy. Mgr was fantastic too. We will go out of our way to come back. - David Fuller

Sep 2017 - $40.00
An okay campground to stay at for a night. Gravel roads and mostly level sites. Looks like the place is a work in progress. Owner very nice and escorted us to our site. A bit much to pay. It looked like all sites are full hook up. - cneeka
Jun 2017 - $40.00
We used this campground as an over night stop to Florida. The staff we extremely friendly and escorted us to our site and pointed out locations for hookups. I don't know if there was any bathroom facilities or not. There are a lot of full time residents here. Most were construction people and I assume they were working there at the campground as they are in the process of making a lot of improvements. It is just off a busy hwy and noise was a problem but we turn our air conditioner to constant fan and it drowned the noise out. This place has a lot of potential and I think will be much improved in the months to come. We stayed there on the way to and from Florida.. - Garrison Smith
Dec 2015 - $35.00
Gravel sites with red clay on top. Hookups worked great. Very friendly owner who escorted us to our site. Checks or cash only no discounts. No Wifi or cable but was able to get satellite. Only stopped for overnight not sure if we would stop again. - roaming around
