It is convenient to freeway but you end up on a one lane dusty entrance road. The toad had been clean, oh well. It's a bare bones one night stop that was clean with friendly office man. No passport anymore he did give a discount but it still came out to $50.80 !! We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

This park reverted back to the original owners the week we arrived. They no longer accept Passport America. It's small and compact, but more than adequate for a rest stop. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

We were in Clanton for a three day conference and stayed here for it's very convenient location and because it gets way better reviews than anything else around. The staff was terrific, friendly and helpful. The park is clean and fairly well maintained, except the potholes on the entry road which we were told would be fixed soon. It's not very shady but it has lots of trees planted and given a few years will be nice. The park is flat but well drained; we had a near-biblical deluge one afternoon and within an hour it was fine. I-65 is within sight but noise isn't a big deal. Power is 118 volts that drops to 110 when A.C. is running, within tolerance. Lots of room around the pond to walk the dog. Plenty of Midwest snowbirds were making this an overnight stop (apparently avoiding I-75 and Atlanta traffic.) We had a center section site that was plenty roomy. I would rate this a 9 out of 10 except I don't feel the $40 nightly charge was justified. (Maybe if it had a swimming pool.) We would stay here again if visiting the area. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is an older RV park that is beginning to look rundown. It is an example of a park that has artificially raised their rate. The nightly ½ price PA rate of $28.22 is too much for the full price and no one would ever pay $56.44 to spend the night here. I did not even have to show my PA card to get the ½ price rate. We stopped here because it was getting late and it was EZ off and on I-65. The sites were level and had 50 amp full hook-ups. The access road was full of potholes and very narrow. We will not stay here again. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

The gentlemen checking us in was very nice. The park is small with 45 sites but easy in and out and the laundry area is really amazing! My only complaint were the potholes in the park. The cable TV did not work for us but the wifi was great so we were happy. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely visit the only donut shop in town. The pita restaurant directly across from the rv park was really good!! Also the pecan farm store next to the pita place had really good homemade ice cream. Birmingham was only 40 minutes away.

This park is conveniently located just off of I-65 at exit 212. It's a small park with FHU and the sites are back in on a small lake, pull thru in the center and back in on the far side. Our site on the lake was gravel and fairly unlevel, Stay in the pull thrus and pay less. The lounge area with a TV was great, the laundry area is huge and the showers were very nice. The staff was helpful. The cable TV was a disaster but they say it's being worked on. Price was PA, We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is conveniently located right off I-75. The reservation and check in were easy. It was a self-check-in. There is some freeway noise. This parks website still shows that they have RV sales and service, but they no longer have either. This is our second time staying this park. It works well for us for a 1 or 2 night stop. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Due to some reviews we were wondering about staying here! We travel for six months a year and stay in approximately 50 parks. We have found this park to be very acceptable! Yes the road in is gravel and the sites are gravel but there is lots of space between sites and the site will handle your tow vehicle also. This park is well maintained and close to I 65. You do not hear road noise at night. This is a great park for over nite or short term. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very average RV park behind an RV dealership. Very long rocky road getting to site. Sites are stone with a small cement pad. Pull thrus are long, but neighbors quite close. Some small trees, but no real shade. Had to plug into 50 amp as 30 amp blew. Wifi was good. Didn't notice any bugs when we sat outside. Probably wouldn't stay again. Passport rate was $25, so regular rate would be $50...way too much for this stop. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped here over night. We did not have reservations and and was given the impression that they didn't have many spaces open. However, when we got to the park, we found that they were only about half full. WE needed some help with the power and when we called the office, they did not have anyone available to assist. This is a fairly basic park, with well graveled sites spaced decently apart. There are pull throughs and back-ins available. There is considerable road noise and the park can be very dusty because the roads are gravel as well as the sites. Easy on and off for an overnight stay. There is good fishing nearby and an excellent Love's for refueling. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.
