Small no frills campground, weekly ratte of 150.00 includes everything Pros. Good cable and wifi, sites are long, quiet park Cons. sites very close together, no activities, 80% full time residents, lots of old junky trailers. laundry room and machines outdated, couple of them not working. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is not a "resort" style park. No pool, hot tub, club house, etc. but the price, at less than $300/ month, including cable, reflects that. We chose this park because we stayed for several months (over the winter) and we wanted to be able to install broadband internet, which we did, through Media Com. The park wifi is actually really good, though, so we wouldn't have needed it except to stream video without feeling like we were hogging the bandwidth. The park is all pull-throughs, well-maintained, and the family that owns it is very sweet and easy to work with for getting mail, paying for propane, etc. The gentleman that does the maintenance and the "camp host," who takes care of the laundry room and just generally knows what's what, are just about the friendliest folks around. Quiet, with friendly neighbors, mostly older folks and many who live there year-round. Conveniently located for both Mobile and Gulf Shores, with wonderful winter weather. It was fun to see the neighbor's donkeys and goats, too. We are full-timers and would stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Biscuit King is nearby and it is delicious for a breakfast treat. The blueberry biscuit and the "ultimate" breakfast biscuit are great.

I'm in love with Driftwood RV Park. The rate is for a month plus your electric. Contact park for daily rate with any discount.

Sits in beautiful green meadow with huge live oak and pecan trees. Minutes from both old and new Fairhope. Also just minutes from river and bay fishing. Some of best seafood I've eaten and the people couldn't be friendlier. Definitely a must stop even for a few days. Be sure to visit Old Downtown. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 weeks and paid $322, which included a $12 fee for cable TV. The park has a narrow drive-way, which makes it hard for two vehicles to pass. The roads in the park are asphalt and also narrow. The sites are all grass, hookups are easy to find and easy to connect. The staff was friendly and helpful. On one side of the park is chickens, so you get roosters crowing, and the other side has donkeys, so you get their braying. Even though we like to sleep in, the noise didn't bother. There wasn't much shade, but the price is right. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean park. It's quiet except for the braying of the donkeys next door. There are also goats next door, and a small flock of free-range chickens, so expect a few flies. Sites are long, near-level grass. There are some trees but little shade. Each site has a small picnic table. Voltage is good. Roads are narrow asphalt or gravel, in very good condition. The owners are friendly and helpful. WiFi is fairly strong; typical download speed is 30 kB/s, but it's often much slower. Verizon LTE works well. Cable is Mediacom clear QAM digital; the local stations are HD, but the other channels are SD.

There are 2 showers; the dressing areas are very small.

Rate is with Good Sam. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean park from the time you come in the drive. The office was closed but the owners came to the door and told us where the open sites were and come back in the morning and pay. The sites are all drive thru and grass. Used the laundry and some work better then others. Quite well kept park. The staff is very helpful. This is a park we would stay again. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.
