Overall Rating:

As others have commented, they have taken out the golf course and are transitioning the land into RV spaces. At the time of our stay, they had completed 40 or so spots. The new area has NO shade, concrete pads, minimal wifi (if any) and good utilities. Some sites are right next to septic tank access and do out gas. Yuck. There is a large clubhouse where the two showers per gender are located. A Bit rustic but we'll maintained. The older part of the park has plenty of shade and the long term lodgers. Because of the construction, there may be equipment in use at 7 am. (They were preparing an additional area for a concrete pour just after Memorial day. ) Also, not much landscaping as yet so there will be mud when it rains. Overall, a reasonable place to stay near Gulf Shores. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good beach in Gulf Shores with free parking is Cotton Bayou, about a 30 minute drive from park. Be sure to eat at Lambert's Cafe in Foley. LOTS of good food at a great price. Remember to raise your hand for scrumptious roll! Let's Get Grillin' Meats sells Wagu beef for suberb barbecue experience. Fort Morgan is worth the drive.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review or campground. We do strive to make everyone's stay enjoyable. The new phase is progressing nicely, and will be landscaped when the construction is completed. The entire park is on septic tanks. The septic field systems are underground and do not "out gas" into the air, was probably somebody nearby "dumping" their holding tanks, or someone had a loose sewer connection. Next time your staying with us try the Tin Top, its a low key place to eat near the campground that has great food, it's a little more expensive than Lambert's, but they don't throw food at you.

Needed a park to wait out the severe storms - this worked out well! Rate reflects 3 night max for PPA. FHU site, paved level concrete pad. Sites close together, but since it was a bit off season we didn't have neighbors. Small but fully functional laundry facility. NICE lounge/meeting area. New sites being developed in former golf area. All are back-in. New sites have no tree cover, some older sites totally tree shaded. No cable, some OTA. Close to Gulf Shores area. Friendly hosts! We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Clean park, & a good value, with friendly staff. There is room for improvement though. There was no wifi, new concrete pads were not built long enough for motor homes, our door opened onto dirt, not fun when it rained. (Our rig is 40 ft) There was no garbage pickup, & only dumpsters were at the far end of the park. A little far from town, but no road noise or trains! Very quiet & peaceful. They've converted the golf course into a new set of RV sites (no more golf course) which are all on concrete. Construction is ongoing as they're continuing to add more sites. While we were there they were seeding the ground for grass. The tenants are nice, a bunch (if not all) were snow birds. So there are several permanent/semi-permanent people there. We needed to put levelers under our front wheels to prevent them from hanging in the air once we leveled the RV. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We are so grateful for the managers. On our way out of the park the manager flagged us down. He told us we had problems with our tires. He called from the office and found a mobile tech service to come to park to replace all our tires. After seeing them, we knew that an accident had been averted. We are so grateful for his keen observation and both his wife and his kindness and generosity. We will return again! We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were on a monthly rate, I do not know the daily rate. We spent 4 months here, winter of 2017/18. Gaylynn, the park Manager is excellent...listens to guests and acts appropriately. No real planned activities. They have tried, but not many people participate. They are building 70 new sites in what used to be the golf course. They may get more participants then. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here and rate based on a week. This area is a Snowbird destination and not easy to get sites during winter months. This park has leveled their Par-3 golf course and is in the process of adding 70 more sites. I had a level, concrete pad - long enough for a 40' fifth wheel - with a picnic table and plenty of shade. No cable but good selection of OTA channels from nearby Mobile and Pensacola. Wi-Fi fair if you get on before the Netflix streamers do. Manager friendly and helpful, plenty to do nearby. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The road into the park is good, the roads in the park had some pot-holes and tight turns. Check in was fast and efficient. This is a large park with mostly permanent residents. It is well kept up and quiet. Sites are about average width and back-ins with cement pads, grass area and picnic table. Our site was level, full-hook ups with no issues and long enough for or 37-foot Class A and parking the car. We stored the dolly on site next to the RV. The laundry room and bathrooms are clean. There is a nice rec room with a large screen TV. Lots of places to walk the dog and a large fenced dog run. Wi-Fi was good as was our Verizon signal. Did not use TV's. The golf course has been leveled and they are adding more sites. We stayed January 14 - 21, 2018 and paid $150.00 ($21.00 a night) weekly rate. They do accept Passport America for 3 nights. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Our site was a dirt site with a picnic table on a concrete pad. It was a back in site. The site was fully covered with tall trees - made for nice shade on warm days. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the wifi. It was either sporadic and weak, or non-existent. We went to the Foley library when we needed a really strong signal. Supermarkets and shopping within 5 miles. Beaches are close. Fairhope with fine dining is close as well. We would definitely stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Acme Oyster House in Gulf Shores has the best grilled oysters, and I am not a lover of oysters at all! Good onion rings too! LuLu's across the water from Acme is good for a drink, music and watch the sailboats dock for LuLu's. Gulf Shores Pier has great fishing! Saw USS Alabama great day spent there. Dreamland Barbecue in Mobile has great barbecue. Blue Angels in Pensacola on Tuesdays.

Directions to park were good except the sign at the main entrance says Magnolia Hideaway RV Park. golf course no longer there the owners are building 70 more sites in that area. Entrance road is somewhat dusty. Once in park most sites are concrete with patio's. WiFi was good in our site, agree with previous post some sites blocked. grounds were clean, would have given a higher score on service if the person who took reservation hadn't made a mess of it and the person checking us in couldn't figure it out till the next morning. Didn't use the restrooms or laundry park mostly snowbirds were friendly. Park will be really nice when they get the new sites in. We would stay here again. Only big negative was their web site hasn't been updated since 2014, was disappointing when trying to see their rates for next winter. I found this campground to be quite nice. It looks like most of the units are long term visitors who leave their units and come/go for months at a time. The campground has lots of old trees to provide shade in the summer. The restrooms are clean and the WIFI works well near the clubhouse. It isn't a bad drive to Gulf Shores. I would stay again. Our site had eyebolts in the patio to tie down your awning or pet. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.
