10 RV Parks near Geneva, Alabama
Apr 2009 - $39.00
Web site offers hot tub, none there, offers food, only on weekends and then only if the owner feels like it. Offers WiFi, nope unless you are right next to the office only. Offered fishing pond. Nope again. Lots offered but little provided. Cabins are moldy and smell of mildew. Laundry has been out of order for over a year. Pop Machines are out of order over a year also. Told us rate was $400 per month for being a snow bird rate. Then raised it to $450 and told us we used too much power but we didn't. Place is in need of someone to run the place that understands that the camper is not there for him but he is there for the camper. Will not return, ever! We had a verbal agreement with the owner to stay a long time as we had legal issues we were taking care of in Tallahassee Fl. He gave us a weeks notice to pull out or pay the daily rate for only thirty days more. We were there from October 2008 to April 2009. We had planned to stay longer to take care of things. Place got flooded out every time it rained as no drainage ditches, or drain control at all. Overall not a good experience! - oldfoxbob
Oct 2018 - $45.00
We were there for their Halloween weekend. Have not had that much fun in a LONG time. Costume contest, hay rides, site decorating, site crawl. It was a blast! All the fellow campers were super friendly and got a chance to talk with the owners. Great guys and you can tell they work hard to make this place great. Wil. Definitely be back!! - NolesGuy86
Feb 2018 - $50.00
Older gay campground that is a little overgrown but the new owners are working on it. I typically would have given the campground a middle rating due to the newness but the owners have the attitude that if you don't give an outstanding rating don't bother coming back. So I cannot rate them above a poor rating as the $ value is lacking. $100.00 for 2 nights is extreme. The road into the campground is disturbing, the trash was never dumped from the garbage cans, the site is majorly uneven 8" drop had to use 2 "2 X 6"s & levelers and the sewer hookup was higher than the rig. - Campin Kayak
Jul 2016 - $25.00
This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at!! The owners were very sweet, they treated us pretty much like family. They invited us into their home and we talked for hours. They would take my 2 year old daughter riding on their golf carts (of course I rode also).
The park was very clean, and quiet!! Laundry room was clean. My husband loved the lake/fishing!! Will definitely be back if we are near Geneva, Alabama again!!
They looked after me and my daughter while my husband worked during the day. When it would start storming they would check to make sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything!! Wifi worked great.
The owners kept the park very clean, he was always outside doing yard work!!! She kept the flower beds really pretty, hope we can visit with them soon!!! - Shelby Shoemake
Jan 2016 - $35.00
This place was not clean and very noisy. We were looking for a relaxing vacation and this place was anything but. Owners were rude and unfriendly. - Ron and Amy
Jan 2011 - $18.00
The owners have done an excellent job of cleaning up after the previous owners. Both are the kindest, most helpful and gracious owners we have encountered. Everyone is very friendly. The grounds are landscaped nicely and well kept. There are a number of long timers who are also helpful. They have added a club house for get together. Two docks available for fishing. Landing is available with a recommended $2 launching fee. The lake only allows electric motors - no gasoline. The campgrounds are literally out in the country closer to Geneva, AL than Defuniak Springs, FL. - MOexpat
Jan 2019 - $30.00
This is a small RV campground with few amenities, but the folks who run it are very friendly and helpful. The first night there, we were invited to sit around a campfire for a wiener roast. The sweet tea and company were great!! There's not much around Samson, but this is a safe and quiet place about 20 minutes from I-10 to stay for a night or two of rest while traveling. - Angie S
May 2017 - $17.00
Guy had a stroke so not very talkative but very nice. Cute spot off the beaten path. Spacious pond/lake on premises. Grassy with trees. Waived the $2. Washer/dryer. Backed in. I don't know about the wifi. Seems to be working; I hooked to an open one. - Asha Wise
Mar 2014 - $15.00
Passport America rate. We stayed five nights. Staff friendly, live on site. Laundry OK. Not the most spic-and-span modern facilities but we liked this place for total peace and quiet. Easy access and nice walking. Sites grassy but with hard surface. Cement patios. Wi-Fi excellent (we were parked near rec room). We would definitely stay here again. - rvbravo2
Nov 2018 - $26.00
Had to find a park quickly for a medical call. Entry road and sandy park roads are rutted. Sites on grass. Site 19 blocks site 18 and provides 15 amp only. Trees make maneuvers challenging. Watch for fire anthills. Can't comment on diving since we were not there for that. - snabo
Aug 2018 - $27.00
This is the first time I would give a campground a 3 out of 5 and go back. We really enjoyed the amenities the park offered. The spring is great and we got some bottom time (SCUBA) in every day. The campground needs some love. The grass needed to be cut and the dump station was out of order. If you stay here please note that the White Camping (water and electric only) and Red Camping are close to the spring and swimming. The Blue Camping is too far out back and felt too secluded. We were given a Blue site and we asked to be moved to the front since it felt like we were too far away. - trikeflyer
Apr 2018 - $25.00
I'm from Panama, and my family was down from Atlanta. We picked this spot to meet up with each other for a weekend. To be clear, this was a fun weekend, but make no mistake, this place caters to divers, not campers. Gorgeous springs, diving rentals, a swimming hole, lots of activity going on all the time. They also have cabins and houses to rent out. The sites are not clearly marked, but are easy enough to get in and out of. Kids had a blast in the water. No lifeguards though, so be diligent. Overall, we do plan to go back because of the diving/swimming portion where we can camp, too. But if swimming/diving aren't priorities for you... you may want to look to other places as the campsite is not the priority for this area. - JJGibbs
Sep 2019 - $37.00
It's people who make or break any campground visit and these authentic Australian owners are amazing. Over Labor Day weekend, owners offered coffee and cookies each morning in the charming office. Guests could enjoy "Crocodile Dundee" in the afternoon and free Aussie sausages/snacks were an enjoyable cookout bonus as we sat meeting other friendly campers. Yes, it's under renovation but one can easily catch their vision. Give them time! The duck pond and landscaping is lovely and peaceful. They even have a free dog wash area! Since we evacuated during Hurricane Dorian, we forgot our pup's dog treats, so the owner generously gave us some. Can't wait to return to see them - arrived as guests - left as friends! - Travelingal
Jun 2019 - $35.00
This campground is a work in progress. The new owners are renovating clubhouse, office and adding a swimming pool. When upgrades are complete this will be a nice place to stop for a night or spend a few days. The new restrooms and showers are very nice. Biggest showers I have seen in a campground with rain shower heads. - Herb Richards
Mar 2019 - $33.00
We understand these are new owners and need time to make improvements. We had a reservation but our assigned site was already occupied. With approval of the office, we parked in the only other unoccupied site that was long enough. Park roads are very rutted and narrow. Mostly long term residences and lots of construction vehicles on the property.
No grass or cable here. Also no picnic table or fire ring but then again no space to put them in.
This is an overnight and we’ll make due. - Boomerific
Apr 2019 - $17.00
Older park, but nicely maintained. Level site. Bathroom older, but spotless. Very accommodating host. Would stay there again. - BillWoo850
Mar 2019 - $17.00
Reserved the 2nd last spot in the park, was pretty level, no sewer at the site, but they had a dump station on the way out, mostly quiet, small park 80% full timers, cable was fine, wifi was hit and miss, for the Passport America price was okay for 1 night. - DBSnowbirds
Feb 2019 - $17.00
Very small park with lots of permanent people living here. Just a couple sites available for passers-through RVers. The two sites share a power post; so if there were two here simultaneously, one would get a 50amp connection and the other would have to use the 30amp connection. There is free WiFi here and cable TV along with a bathhouse & showers. Our site was a pull-through right on the water. Needed to use levelers under the front tires to prevent them from hanging in the air. There is a dump station; but no sewer at the sites. - Wandering With Us
Apr 2017 - $22.00
The park is a bit on the worn side, but the owner is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is kind of shabby but the folks there seemed OK. The park itself has a LOT of perms and long-terms so that's not very pretty. But the lakeside area is just beautiful, and the park is very quiet at night. We camped in a pull-thru right next to the street and we never heard a sound all night. Since we were right by the road, our way out was to continue on the road we were parked next to. We hit some hanging tree branches on our way and our satellite radio antenna has been cutting out ever since. They really need to trim those trees. I kept to the middle of the road and they got us anyway. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to spend a night or two, Juniper Lake might just be the ticket. - dhaney1944
Nov 2015 - $20.00
Great little overnight spot if you are in the area. They have a few big rig friendly sites and you do. To have to unhook your car. Owner has you call when you get off the freeway and she gives directions and mets you outside the campground. Then takes you to your spot and ensures you get level. Right on lake and you can sit on deck and enjoy the water. - Buspuppies
Mar 2015 - $19.00
Clean level gravel sites. Well spaced on gentle slope to lake. 30/50 amp service. Very quiet and private. The proprietor is very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again. - allure 470
