Mar 2018 - $18.00
Cost is Passport America rate. We arrived in the rain. It looked much worse than it is. Roads are hard packed red clay with many ruts from water erosion. Sites are gravel. No picnic tables, patio, cable, or Wi-Fi. Had weak AT&T signal Had no problem leveling my RV. - dlfishing
Dec 2016 - $18.00
Very Lovely Park. ALL PULL THROUGH spots. (not sure if) all were 50 AMP service. Note to new travelers: This campground is on a NON-Paved Road, it is rocky, and sandy, but not difficult to go in or out of.
We pulled in and out of this campground during nasty rain, and it was NOT difficult to maneuver, despite the rain. Some previous reviews complained about poor roads. Comparatively speaking, these roads are NOT any worse (and much better then ones found in parts of North and South Dakota) than average non-paved roads.
The park, although not paved, was lovely. Set up was extremely nice, with a convenient bath-house/laundry-room and walking paths (if not raining!) There was a little lake down a path but I didn't go there.
Only problem was that no one was in the office the entire time. There was a sign on the door to just pick a site and they'd find us, but they never showed up (we left $ in the box anyway). - cherylbrv
Sep 2016 - $30.00
This park is so run down, I wouldn't advise anyone to go there. The interior roads and sites are mostly Alabama red clay with gravel and grass mixed in. The office was closed on the Sunday afternoon we pulled in. We needed a spot for overnight so we chose the first one that looked fairly level. There are no picnic tables and the fire ring was full of grass and weeds. There were about 5 full time residents and we did see one on his way to the bath house. When we left the next day, we had to put our payment in the drop box because the office was still closed. We never did meet the owner. The road we needed to use to leave our site had such a large rut from water erosion extending across most of the road that we chose to drive over the grass. We would NEVER stay here again. - dickens

Upon entering this park, you immediately have the sensation of approaching a high end commercial RV Resort. As I entered the office to register I had to confirm this was not a commercial facility. The host who takes immaculate care of the park assured me it is indeed a city park. What a gem! Sites have great hook ups, although the power and water were on the right side of our motorhome which requires getting the hose and power cord under the vehicle which is not a problem. We had site 1 which is a pull through site with more than enough room for our 41 foot MH and towed Cherokee. Nice mowed lawns, lots of space between sites, heavily wooded with many sites having satellite views. Verizon on the low side but manageable. Access roads are paved and in excellent condition as are the site pads. We stayed 3 nights and will make this one of our favorite parks in the entire nation. - Dick & Bev
Apr 2019 - $30.00
First Impression: Very nice roadside presentation and same for the interior. Well trimmed grass, little, decorative monuments, no underbrush. Safety: no concerns. Access: Exit 130 off I-65, northwest on AL-185 to AL-263. Look for brown signs along road pointing to CG. Municipal road in good condition, good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Clamp host is friendly and helpful. Office is for registration only, no store. No credit cards - checks or cash only. Online reservations NOT available. No price discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room, rec center, or laundry room. Small restrooms/showers, single person use, clean but aging (score "B"). No propane sales. Big playground on the road behind the CG, headed towards the golf course. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter available. Moderately wooded. Interior roads are wide asphalt in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig friendly. Long coaches will not have problems. A few tent sites but no utilities. No yurts or cabins. Sites are all spacious, level, asphalt or concrete, pull-through and back-in, nice landscaping. Pedestals at middle of site with electric 20/30/50; no meters. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 3-5" above ground level. Some sites have nice, wooden patios but most have no patios. Picnic tables are in community-use shelters. Ground fires not permitted; no fire rings. Marginal satellite views. No cable TV. OTA TV found 8 channels. Free Wi-Fi but with weak coverage and low bandwidth. Verizon phone at 1 bar; 4G at 2 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: No railroad, aircraft, or interstate noise but noticeable traffic noise on AL-263 (tolerable). Bug Report (early April): fire ants, spiders, Carpenter bees, and tree wasps, none of which were a problem. Runners: CG roads very good for running. Yoga: plenty of room for your mat. Conclusion: Score 7-Good. Will return if in the area. - StephenK

Have stayed here three times a year for overnight stays for the past several years. A very nice city park. Would also be great for extended stay while visiting the area. Close to the interstate and easy to navigate within the park. - camper914

This is a quiet, park on a lake. Fishing is allowed and said to be good. It is a bit out of the way but can be found 9 or so miles north of town with the use of gps. - W Davidson
Mar 2018 - $30.00
Best part: service from the owner gentleman. Super helpful. The park is nice and he is making a lot of improvements. The sites are mostly shaded with well kept mature trees. The park is on the lake with 3 fishing piers. Not great for kids, no good swimming or play equipment. Very quiet at night but there are a lot of permanent residents here. - Mudpuppy78
Sep 2017 - $40.00
This wonderful campground did an emergency reopening to assist with people fleeing Hurricane Irma. They were clean, helpful, friendly and did *not* jack up their rates. Just cannot say enough about how terrific the owners were. If I ever find myself in the part of the country again, I will go out of my way to stay at this campground. - Full-Time-RVer
Mar 2019 - $50.00
We stayed at the campground in a pull-through lot. There were a few small trees but no shade in this park. The park has a general store for fishing and groceries. The park is about 10 miles outside of Andalusia which has grocery stores, restaurants, Wal-Mart and anything you might need. The park is flat and good for just riding your bicycle around. My biggest complaint is the roads are very dusty and when other campers or drivers pass by, a cloud of dust follows. The campground has great WI-FI and the cable has over 100 stations. The people are very friendly and accommodating. I thought it was bit bit pricey. - HMathis58
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Out of the way park. We enjoyed our stay. Wanted to rent a boat but it rained all week. The staff went above and beyond for anything we wanted or needed. Had a band the weekend we were there and that was fun. - Kcdmama
Sep 2017 - $29.00
Came to this park as part of the evacuation of Florida for hurricane Irma. Manager, and his staff, could not have been kinder or more generous. The manager was doing everything he could to find a spot for evacuees to get them off the road. I was met by camp workers at 12:30 am (after a 13 hour drive) to get me backed in and settled. Over the weekend, there was free food available for everyone at the unfinished (at that time) pavilion. Roads and sites are gravel and dirt. Water pressure is over 100 lbs, so be sure to use a pressure regulator. Motor gasoline, as well as, non-ethanol gasoline is available for campers and the general public. Main office has a small store with the usual supplies. Verizon voice and data excellent. ATT is non-existent. I am told you can get ATT service at the boat dock. We look forward to returning here for a much more leisurely stay. - moderate camper
Jun 2017 - $25.00
This park is a friendly and safe park. The water activities and fishing was great. The owners were extremely helpful and nice. We look forward to our next camping trip. - Lane S.
May 2017 - $26.00
The park was under construction due due some sort of drainage or sewer problem. There was a dead bird on our site; no biggie, but it looked like it had been there for a good while. The homesteaders don't tie up their dogs, and look pretty comfortable (accumulated stuff) in the park. The lake was nice, as was the country store. The WIFI wouldn't have worked at our site, but we have the Alfa Campro wifi extender, so we were good. - wadebbi
Feb 2017 - $55.00
The owners are very busy updating this campground. We stayed in a onsite travel trailer. And will return with our camper next winter. We have been camping for over 50 years and seen everything, this campground has the most helpful, friendly, welcoming owner we have ever seen. Outstanding. - Jackson Dial
