Oct 2018 - $45.00
We were there for their Halloween weekend. Have not had that much fun in a LONG time. Costume contest, hay rides, site decorating, site crawl. It was a blast! All the fellow campers were super friendly and got a chance to talk with the owners. Great guys and you can tell they work hard to make this place great. Wil. Definitely be back!! - NolesGuy86
Feb 2018 - $50.00
Older gay campground that is a little overgrown but the new owners are working on it. I typically would have given the campground a middle rating due to the newness but the owners have the attitude that if you don't give an outstanding rating don't bother coming back. So I cannot rate them above a poor rating as the $ value is lacking. $100.00 for 2 nights is extreme. The road into the campground is disturbing, the trash was never dumped from the garbage cans, the site is majorly uneven 8" drop had to use 2 "2 X 6"s & levelers and the sewer hookup was higher than the rig. - Campin Kayak
Jul 2016 - $25.00
This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at!! The owners were very sweet, they treated us pretty much like family. They invited us into their home and we talked for hours. They would take my 2 year old daughter riding on their golf carts (of course I rode also).
The park was very clean, and quiet!! Laundry room was clean. My husband loved the lake/fishing!! Will definitely be back if we are near Geneva, Alabama again!!
They looked after me and my daughter while my husband worked during the day. When it would start storming they would check to make sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything!! Wifi worked great.
The owners kept the park very clean, he was always outside doing yard work!!! She kept the flower beds really pretty, hope we can visit with them soon!!! - Shelby Shoemake
Jan 2016 - $35.00
This place was not clean and very noisy. We were looking for a relaxing vacation and this place was anything but. Owners were rude and unfriendly. - Ron and Amy
Jan 2011 - $18.00
The owners have done an excellent job of cleaning up after the previous owners. Both are the kindest, most helpful and gracious owners we have encountered. Everyone is very friendly. The grounds are landscaped nicely and well kept. There are a number of long timers who are also helpful. They have added a club house for get together. Two docks available for fishing. Landing is available with a recommended $2 launching fee. The lake only allows electric motors - no gasoline. The campgrounds are literally out in the country closer to Geneva, AL than Defuniak Springs, FL. - MOexpat
Jul 2019 - $26.00
Great Overnight park. All site are open void of trees. All roads are paved. The staff was very courteous and in a beautiful clubhouse. The only GPS that took us there was WAZE. The others missed the mark. There is a big digital sign on the left possibly saying Magnolia Park rather than Hidden Hollow. We were told the sign message changes. You are an able to see the RV park from the highway. It is behind a big bingo pavilion. - blumarlin
Jul 2019 - $23.00
Great little known gem of a campground. 24 hour security, concrete pads, office personnel very friendly and is manned 24 hrs. Great office, provides complementary coffee, bottled water and small snacks. Sites are very clean, but not completely level.. site seemed to slope down and to the left for water runoff purposes?? Near term plan is to build a dog park..future plans are to build a clubhouse and pool for guests. Will definitely stay here again when passing though. Free and good wifi signal, but no cable. - Steve Sharon
Jun 2019 - $20.00
One year old, well designed, all pull thru, all paved, wide drives, all 30/50A/W/S. Coffee and Danish in the lodge, set up for concerts, adjacent to a big bingo hall. Good internet, no cable. Grass at each side long site and Q.U.I.E.T!!!! Would be a great place for a rally! Close to shopping in Dothan. - Journey On

Sep 2019 - $38.00
An older park that is in the process of some major renovations. This includes a whole new section of sites, replacing gravel pads with concrete, paving interior roads, putting down new sod, planting trees and adding a beautiful new swimming pool. Some of these renovations has happened already, and some are in the process. Big piles of dirt and gravel around the park attest to work underway. The front of the park is within about 100-ft (maybe less) of busy Hwy 231. So the further toward the back of the park you can get a site, the quieter it'll be. We just overnighted on our way to Arizona for the winter, so didn't get a chance to check out all the functioning amenities. But interior roads are easy to navigate, hook-up pedestals are in the right place, and front office staff were friendly (check-in was quick and easy). Water pressure was good and the newly planted trees didn't interfere with satellite reception. It undoubtedly will be a lovely park when all the renovations are completed. We'd stay here again. - boardman
Sep 2019 - $44.00
The park is undergoing a lot of upgrades and planting new trees, grass, etc. The pool is not yet open. You can see there has been a lot of thought put into the planting and updates. The Leland Cypress trees will help with road noise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good interior roads, recently paves. Concrete pads and patio, with picnic table and grill. Nice long pull though sites. Didn't have to unhitch toad. Wifi was very slow, switched to Verizon and used phone as hotspot. Very good utilities. Would stay here again for sure! - Vicki K
Aug 2019 - $40.00
We were promptly greeted and sent to our site. Very nice lady. Park is expanding. Adding 45 sites and a pool. Very few mobile homes left since they are converting to RV park only. - Couch9748
May 2019 - $16.00
We stayed for 3 nights. The park is conveniently located just outside of town. It has very good full hookups and huge sites. The owners were accommodating and friendly. We would stay again. - tommyg
Apr 2019 - $11.00
A-okay RV Park is by far the best place me and my better half have stayed at. Very quiet, down to earth people. The staff was awesome, so nice, pet friendly, we will definitely be staying here again. - Michelle Lane
Mar 2018 - $17.00
The campsites are very large with convenient hookups. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly. Additional campsites are under construction for future campers. Propane fill-up is available. The camp is in a quiet rural area. The site was unpaved grass but it was reasonably level and we had no problem with soft ground mentioned in other reviews. I gave it a 9 rating as it is great for short term or overnight campers but there are not amenities such as a playground for kids or a pool for summer use. For the price we paid we had no c0mplaints. - Steve77
Oct 2017 - $30.00
There are campsites available if you are going to an event at the Farm Center. The FHU's are a long way from the event center. The W&E sites are a short walk on a fairly level grass area. The water is on one side of the field and the electric is on the opposite side so be sure and bring extra water hose and/or electric cables. Also bring an adaptor for 50 t0 30 amp and another for 30 to 110. Great place to stay for a Farm Center event. - Hey You
May 2014 - $17.00
Nothing fancy here, but a good spot for a quick overnight. All sites are grass and mostly level. There are two areas with hook-ups. Up-top, close to the buildings are 13 pull-through sites with 50/30 amp, water and sewer. Along the fence are another 15 back in sites with full hook-ups as well. Down the dirt road to the lower level is another area with multiple back-in sites, but only some have sewer hook-ups. Pay at the double wide trailer across the parking lot behind the building with arches. The previous review posted office hours are correct. Would stay here again as an en-route stop. - Good Vibes
Jan 2014 - $17.00
This is actually the county fairgrounds. We pulled in just for a quick overnight. Office was closed and we didn't see where to check in, but the gate was open so we just pulled in and found a site (we were the only ones there). We paid in the morning once we found the office, which is actually a double-wide trailer. (Hours 7-12, 1-4). Apparently there is a mailbox next to the fence where you could pay at night. Excellent easy overnight spot. - GO'Neil
Nov 2018 - $13.00
This is a very nice park, very quiet, well kept. - Jimd2
Jan 2018 - $13.00
Took a different route to FL to see son and opted to stop overnight here. Once we figured out how to get in, it was easy. Registration took a bit of time to go through all the paperwork (hey, it's a military/government facility) but then it was on to the campground. Site was large, comfortable and level. I asked and learned most folks have well behaved dogs or cats and allow them to roam free (gasp!) with no problems. Choppers ran till about 11 at nite, but not an issue. Left early the next morning for our drive, but hope to get back for a longer visit in the warmer weather. Several things to consider: 1) set GPS to MAIN GATE. There is a back road and gate, but often not open, so you'll have a long re-route; 2) there are no decent maps of base at registration, so get GOOD, CLEAR directions to your site. We did not and discovered we were on site 9 (to the left of road) so had to drive to a turn around and come back so we could enter and position the utility on the correct side of the RV. Minor point, but could be irritating. - Too-wow
Oct 2016 - $13.00
Due to its close proximity, and low price, we (me, my bride, 2 large dogs, and occasional guests and/or grandkids) stay here 3-4 times each year. No on-pad sewer in the near future but I have some great news, they claim they will soon be installing WiFi; and there is an area for the dogs to run free and play in the lake. Those last two items are important to me. - FoxH
Sep 2019 - $37.00
It's people who make or break any campground visit and these authentic Australian owners are amazing. Over Labor Day weekend, owners offered coffee and cookies each morning in the charming office. Guests could enjoy "Crocodile Dundee" in the afternoon and free Aussie sausages/snacks were an enjoyable cookout bonus as we sat meeting other friendly campers. Yes, it's under renovation but one can easily catch their vision. Give them time! The duck pond and landscaping is lovely and peaceful. They even have a free dog wash area! Since we evacuated during Hurricane Dorian, we forgot our pup's dog treats, so the owner generously gave us some. Can't wait to return to see them - arrived as guests - left as friends! - Travelingal
Jun 2019 - $35.00
This campground is a work in progress. The new owners are renovating clubhouse, office and adding a swimming pool. When upgrades are complete this will be a nice place to stop for a night or spend a few days. The new restrooms and showers are very nice. Biggest showers I have seen in a campground with rain shower heads. - Herb Richards
Mar 2019 - $33.00
We understand these are new owners and need time to make improvements. We had a reservation but our assigned site was already occupied. With approval of the office, we parked in the only other unoccupied site that was long enough. Park roads are very rutted and narrow. Mostly long term residences and lots of construction vehicles on the property.
No grass or cable here. Also no picnic table or fire ring but then again no space to put them in.
This is an overnight and we’ll make due. - Boomerific
