Overall Rating:

Needed a place to stay near Muscle Shoals awaiting a service appointment. Choices in the area are very limited. About 10 miles from town, this campground is out of the way and quiet on a pretty spit of land along a feeder to the Tennessee River. I had the only "pull-thru" site. Site was level, clean and very large. Power, water and sewer connections were all well placed and worked perfectly. Verizon Cell reception was 2-3 bars and the WiFi reception was good. This park is exactly what I was hoping to for my several day stay. Expect to pay by cash or check. We camped at Colbert County Alloys Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We needed a week stay that would be close enough to the Huntsville airport and striking distance to Red Bay. We looked at other options in the area that looked like open parking lots. This campground isn't much more than that since there are no trees around the campsites. But what sold us was the surrounding area. There's a boat launch and a couple of great nature trails along the river and around the rest of the county property. We walked them every day, plus down a neighborhood street on the other side of the river with homes, chickens, horses, fields. The camp hosts were very friendly - gave us information about the surrounding area and received an Amazon package for us. The other campers were also very friendly. There was no picnic table or patio/pad, but that wasn't a bid deal for us. Free WIFI, which was surprisingly strong! We would definitely stay here if passing through the area again. We camped at Colbert County Alloys Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Quiet campground. Level gravel sites in open area with easy satellite reception. Wifi good, Verizon service 3 bars. Two Individual unisex bathrooms in clean block building. Each bathroom has toilet, sink and shower with cement floor. Campground premesis also has tornado shelter, playground and free boat ramp. Manager lives in home on property and is exceptional. We arrived two days late due to need for brake repair. I had notified him. He was extremely accommodating and never charged us for the missed dates while saving site #1 for us. His wife took us to see two birds nests with baby birds we could easily see (in cedar about 4 ft above ground serface.) We camped at Colbert County Alloys Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for three nights. Easy to find, roads are good for our big rig. Manager gentleman was very friendly and gave us info about the area. We stopped in the area because of our interest in Muscle Shoals music. The sites are mostly back-in with only one pull-through, but the sites are more than long enough. Down the hill is the river with a boat ramp and pier, but we did not use it as it was too cold. A pavilion is available which looked nice, and there are walking trails nearby. The wifi is pretty good, no cable and no laundry. The towns are within 10-13 miles; there is so much to see in the area. This park is good value, we would stay here again. We camped at Colbert County Alloys Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Rate reflects senior discount. 16.00 regular rate. W/E/S. Wonderful little 'out of the way' park with access to the old music scene in Muscle Shoals and part of the Natchez Trace. Visited on the way to Huntsville. Very nice and helpful host with newly finished gravel sites. Some TV reception and WiFi worked very well. Found a new little gem ! We camped at Colbert County Alloys Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
