Apr 2018 - $35.00
I was quite disappointed in the place considering the previous reviews. It's a mobile home park, which I was aware of, with a few spaces for RVs. What was most dissatisfying, considering it was $35.00 a night, was that there was no bathhouse or laundry and no WiFi or cable, because the cable was broken at our site. The site was level and we had no problem in length for our 30 ft. motorhome, car dolly, and car. We only stayed for one night, so it was doable, but I won't want to stay longer. - Living the Life
Sep 2017 - $1.00
This is a mobile home park and RV park .The grounds are very well maintained and the staff were very courteous and accommodating. We made our visit during hurricane evacuation at a time when finding a campsite anywhere was impossible but they took great care of us. I will recommend this campground to anyone looking for a good quiet location close to restaurants, WalMart and the big city of Columbus, Ga. - Ron Wissinger
Feb 2016 - $60.00
This park was extremely clean with a great managing staff on site. It was very easy to contact the park and set up dates to stay. I was able to set up extended stay dates for I had work in the area. The park was very quiet and well maintained. I will be returning back if I ever have work in the Bi-city area again. - rhlake

Sep 2018 - $24.00
One of the nicest parks we have stayed in recently. This is a military fam camp serviced through the Ft Benning MWR. Check in was easy and within minutes we were able to find our site #39. There was a tree near the site. Unfortunately it was not on the sunny side of the RV. Water and electric hook ups are next to each other and sewer is on back side. No dog park in campground however there are plenty of trails and roads where walking daisy was easy. That said, need to be aware that wildlife does show up in AM/PM...deer and understand an armadillo or two (which we did not see). Campground is about 4 miles from back gate of Ft Benning and the gate is open 24/7. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Verizon phone signal was weak but doable and we did not use wifi. They are near a lake and river so fishing and pontoon boats are available for rent. We used opportunity to visit a niece in Auburn which was about 45 minutes away...just need to remember time zone change from eastern back to central. - ownedafew

This campsite is awesome!!! One of the best that we have been to. - JLHickerson
Apr 2017 - $24.00
This is a beautiful park! We were on lot 10 - a pull through - and our lot size was bigger than most homes have. It had a huge side/back yard with a big picnic table, fire pit and grill. The yard area was wooded but cleaned out of all ground clutter and perfectly mowed. The next lot over was at least 75 feet away. Checking in at the Country Store was quick, easy and friendly. There is a locked gate to get in to the park. Water pressure is very good, WiFi was good (not excellent), but cable was .... not so much. Verizon cell signal was 4G LTE with 2 bars. We would stay here again and highly recommend it. - jomark

We stayed 3 days. The park is right beside the lake. About 1/2 the sites are lakeside and the other 1/2 have lake view. All sites are level with crushed gravel pads and great hookups. It's one of the cleanest campgrounds I've seen and the staff was extremely helpful. - Buddy Ray
Apr 2017 - $20.00
We stay at this campground four or five times a year and love it. The host(s) are always very helpful and friendly. The facilities are always clean and in good order. The pads are always clean. This is our favorite place to camp. - BrentGreene
Apr 2013 - $20.00
We love this park. The park is in Central time and the office is on Eastern time, so have to pay attention when the gate is locked. We stayed by the lake but there are other sites that are good too. There's fishing and water activities and a small playground for the kids. It's well worth the trip to stay. Be sure you have groceries--it's a few miles to get to nearest food source. - jimdee

Nice park. Was neat as a pin while we were there. Easy on and off the highway. Good walkability. Verizon was strong and satellite hooked up fine. They have their spaces marked on the map for satellite spots. We will stay here again!! - SHIPM8
Sep 2018 - $34.00
We stayed here for two weeks while we visited our son who is posted to Fort Benning. The nightly rate given is the weekly rate of $240 divided by 7. The location of the park is fairly convenient to things we wanted to get to, our son's house in particular. The park itself is not much to speak of. Our site was a tight wedge of ground between another site and a park model and we had to be careful about opening the slides due to the oak and pine trees on either side of the site. To make things worse, to get level we had to be at an angle in an already tight site, which cut down the room all around even more. The campground is relatively quiet with the exception of the occasional train which passes by, if you are on the side of the park nearest the main road into Columbus you might notice the train more than we did. There are several old units in storage at one end of the park, and many older trailers and fifth wheels the look to have been here quite a while. This is just a place to stay. I doubt that kids will get anything but splinters and tetanus from the playground equipment, and the pool was not open while we were there. The worst thing in my mind while we were there was a mangy dog that was loose in the park, living under one of the stored units across the gravel road from us. I mentioned this dog more than once to the people in the office, and they said they were trying to catch it, but in two weeks I never saw any evidence of this. In truth, I think the little old lady in the park model next to us was feeding it and they were just letting things be. We will probably stay here again only because we cannot find anything better which is close to our son, but outside of that reason, I would pass this park by. - Travels with Charlie
Sep 2018 - $46.00
This park is nice but rather crowed and close. They have sewer, water and electricity handy. WiFi is weak unless you sit by office. Laundry is nice and cool during heat of the day. They offered sheet with things to go to in the area. I might if necessary stay here again. - Gloria S.

Sep 2017 - $40.00
An okay campground to stay at for a night. Gravel roads and mostly level sites. Looks like the place is a work in progress. Owner very nice and escorted us to our site. A bit much to pay. It looked like all sites are full hook up. - cneeka
Jun 2017 - $40.00
We used this campground as an over night stop to Florida. The staff we extremely friendly and escorted us to our site and pointed out locations for hookups. I don't know if there was any bathroom facilities or not. There are a lot of full time residents here. Most were construction people and I assume they were working there at the campground as they are in the process of making a lot of improvements. It is just off a busy hwy and noise was a problem but we turn our air conditioner to constant fan and it drowned the noise out. This place has a lot of potential and I think will be much improved in the months to come. We stayed there on the way to and from Florida.. - Garrison Smith
Dec 2015 - $35.00
Gravel sites with red clay on top. Hookups worked great. Very friendly owner who escorted us to our site. Checks or cash only no discounts. No Wifi or cable but was able to get satellite. Only stopped for overnight not sure if we would stop again. - roaming around

Mar 2018 - $12.00
I'm not a fan of the dam building mania of the Army Corps of Engineers, but they do a great job of building campgrounds. This is only the 3rd A.C.E. campground I've stayed in and I must say that all the facilities are well designed, laid out, and well built. Basics: Roads paved asphalt and easy to maneuver around the the CG. Sites all have a level pad to park your rig on. Some pads maybe a tad short for a 45' coach but most are long enough. Power 20/30/50 amp at all sites along with water. They only have 1 dump station on the way out and I can see it getting congested with everyone leaving at once. The price reflects the 50% off for the Golden Age Pass. Most all sites are long enough to accommodate your RV and toad and or pulling unit. A significant number can handle your boat trailer and it's tow vehicle too. The showers and bathrooms were heated, spotless, and the shower had pretty good hot water and ok pressure. The only down side on the showers is an issue if you're taller than about 5'6", the shower heads are set pretty low. They make you work for dumping your trash. There is only one place to do it and it's a bit out of the way but it's a nice place to take your trash for a walk. They have no Wifi but Verizon phone and Mifi work fine. As mentioned in the previous post there is a lot of Spanish Moss however there's Spanish Moss all over the place down here so it comes with the territory. Beats looking a kudzu everywhere. Fort Bragg is not far away and you see and hear a lot of Army aircraft but we didn't hear any thing blowing up. We'd stay here again if we're in the area. - pumper9x9
Mar 2018 - $13.00
The Good:: the staff are very nice, land is flat, roads wide, sites easy to find, sites laid out with plenty of space between neighbors, tree branches aren't clawing at your coach either on the road or at the site. The Bad:: Spanish Moss is killing the trees because nobody is removing the abundant excess. Example, when we were in the coach and looking out (our window awnings were deployed) we saw Nothing but the moss hanging from the trees (90% gray moss, 10% leaves trying to survive). Have prison trustees or somebody go in and remove the tons of moss before every tree gets killed. The Ugly: So much spanish moss puts this park on our, "visit only in a pinch", list. - Rick and Sandy

This park is out of the way by quite a bit. We had trouble finding it even with GPS. However once we got there, we were very happy we found it. sites are concrete and level. Everything worked fine. Gave it a 9 instead of 10 because of its location and they only take cash or checks. - Bojangles
Sep 2017 - $35.00
We camped here for an MSU/AU football game. The location was excellent. We were able to catch a shuttle for the game at the next exit west on I85. The manager and staff were friendly and accommodating. The camp ground and facilities were clean and well maintained. The facility is owned by the city of Opelika, AL. They make reservations by phone and accept cash or checks when you arrive. - jwindham

We fled in a MotorCoach from central FL and Hurricane Irma to this delightful rv park. What a gem of a park ! Concrete level pads, full hookups all around, lush grass, superb gravel roomy interior roads. All just 6 miles off I-85 expy. Mgr was fantastic too. We will go out of our way to come back. - David Fuller
