We called 2 hours ahead to ensure a long enough pull thru site for our rig and tow. When we arrived she assigned us a site that already had a rig in it, then gave us a site in the very back with all of the permanent residents, there are a lot of them. Our neighbors for the evening were cussing and yelling, not a good welcome. The site was grass, fairly level, the wifi only worked in the front sites (which we were promised), ATT good, close to the interstate. The rate quoted indicated a Good Sam discount but she doubled the sales tax so it equaled $30, therefore no discount. We would not stay there again. - Traveler23

Nice, spacious site. Washrooms were clean and showers had good pressure. Campground was very quiet with nice scenery. Friendly staff. The pool was not open, but we probably would not have used it anyway. Very close to many stores. Good value for the money. - John A Guderian

Alabama Coast Campground is definitely a nice place to stay while visiting the Gulf Coast . Close to all the local shopping, restaurants, and is 20 minutes from the Beach using the Beach Express Hwy. Family and Pet friendly. The owners are nice and work hard to make this a better park. Reasonable rates that won't break your bank. Dog park, WiFi, Nature trail with flowers, and games throughout the park. Quiet hours are from 10 pm- 8 am for those who enjoy the quiet times too. Bigger than average lots. My big 5th wheel fit nicely, and leveled without any compaction issues like mentioned in a previous Google review. Bugs weren't really an issue either. I really enjoyed my stay here. They are supposed to be adding a bathhouse and laundry facilities in the future. - Greg63

Great campground. Good location off the beach express near to Owa amusment park. There is a dog park, walking trails, frisbee golf and a lot of open space to roam. Well maintained. - Coast girl

My family stayed at Alabama Coast Rv for one week. Our spot was very nice and quiet. I have already booked again for next month. Can't wait to visit you guys again... - Beach Ladie

Spent one night on the way home. Park is clean, good services, no cable, but good satellite reception and over the air. Close to Robertsdale and Walmart and restaurants. Rate is Passport America. Ongoing work to enlarge the park. Plenty of shade. Will return for a week in July. - friends on wheels
Feb 2018 - $28.00
We were assigned site 130 but upon arrival, were placed on site 113. Office was closed at 2:00pm and we did not know what to do. A camper helped us locate a host who directed us. Sites are large and deep but a little intimidating to back into due to narrow road and tight turn. Overall, a great park. Quiet, serene, clean with great landscaping. Perfect location only 2 miles from Baldwin Beach Express. Will stay here again. - Rsunde
Dec 2016 - $16.00
The person meeting us upon arrival was friendly and welcoming. The grounds were well kept and the sites were level. Other than that, all the facilities mentioned on the website were non-existent. There were no amenities. There was no picnic table nor fire pit. The shower and bathroom had decent fixtures but were not clean, especially the floor. We would not return. - Atnt Life Grand

Dec 2018 - $54.00
Open 10 years now, this is an older resort; but some lots are undeveloped and streets are still unfinished. Staff is good but no dedicated activities director. Landscaping in most cases is good but needs some maintenance. Areas adjacent are undeveloped but being developed and this 'gated resort' is unfenced and the gates are seemingly always broken so really its unsecured. - RV Star Gazer
Aug 2018 - $55.00
An awesome value and just a great place. Lots of things to do and clubhouse and pool were fabulous. If you have a class A and like the nice resorts, this one will not disappoint. - Monaco Man
Jul 2018 - $56.00
Easy to see why this is one of the best RV parks in the country. The landscaping is very good and the office staff is eager to please. We even had packages sent to us during our stay. The staff also suggested other price options that could save us money without even asking. Plenty of wildlife to view such as ducks, rabbits and birds. The facility is well kept however it is still not built out. Several of the amenities have not been built yet. The clubhouse is very nice with a terrific zero entry infinity pool. Since I work from my RV, WiFi is very important to me and not only was there a good WiFi signal, the speeds of the WiFi were the best compared to any other RV park I stayed at in the past. When I travel back to the Alabama Gulf Shores area, Bella Terra will be where I want to stay. Each site has options selected by the owner. Ask detailed questions to know what you will have when you get there. - Peter G

Mar 2017 - $30.00
Beware! Although the website says, "Reservations require a non-refundable deposit of $30," do not expect a refund of any payments made beyond that $30. Their actual policy is, "No refunds are given for any reason." Typical procedure for every other campground we've dealt with is that the deposit is non-refundable, but the additional amount is; never have I heard of a policy where the entire amount is non-refundable. The best they would offer is an "indefinite credit" which is beyond their typical 60-day credit rule. I'm not sure who makes this policy, but they would be best served to be more in-line with the rest of the camping industry.
The sites are standard sites, nothing special. This park is named "Blakeley State Park" but it is not actually a state park. - purpleenaj
Feb 2017 - $30.00
Very rustic with very roomy well spaced sites. There was hardly anybody here. We have a 44' and had trouble finding a flat enough site that was long enough. Most of the sites are not flat-so if you have a long rig scout it out first. Also, most sites are tree covered so you have to be careful of scratching in a larger rig. Some of the utility placements are odd in relation to where you might park. We used all of our 30' sewer hose. We are self contained and did not need the bathrooms/showers but checked them out and they were filthy. We mentioned this to the staff and they said they are cleaned once a week. Considering how few people were there and the condition we saw it is doubtful that is true. The bathhouse is a long way from the RV area (it is closer to the tents) so take that into consideration if you need the bathhouse. ATT cell service was so-so. Verizon hotspot worked well. - RMD3819
Nov 2014 - $30.00
Contrary to the listing, it can accommodate up to 45' big rigs on some sites; the smallest site will fit a 30' rig. The RV sites have been updated recently and are all gravel. Most are level. It's a beautiful rustic setting by a river, NOT a resort. It draws a few fulltimers but park policy is to limit the number of these so that there are spaces for recreational campers readily available. Very helpful staff. Feels very secluded, but only 5 miles from major shopping areas. - nationcruiser

Mar 2017 - $35.00
The office staff professional, not overly friendly or helpful. We were told "restrooms are closed for cleaning, sign on doors" was all that was said at check-in. Our water pressure was the worst we have ever experienced! Both sides of our site had standing water, I called the office believing there was a water leak. Someone came out and said sites 70 and 69 were always in water! Seems they could put in some top soil/sand to correct the probem especially since there is a "pond" directly across the road! However, that being said, the pond was covered with Algie and stagnant water. Mosquitos were BAD! Fire ants everywhere, husband and I were bitten many times. This is a wet campground, with drains everywhere and several "ponds" to collect surface water. Due to low water pressure we HAD to use their showers, which are unisex, and there was always a waiting line to get a shower. This campground is a SNOW BIRD campground. Mostly 5th wheels. There is a "grumpy" attitude towards those who are not. Overflow parking apparently allowed at showers/ laundry bldg. blocking foot access to building. Before our departure, there was an afternoon rain storm, we returned from shopping to find our site totally under water. We could not get out of our car with groceries on dry area. There was such a "moat" (8 - 12 inches) around us in the morning ducks were swimming right next to electrical box! The water remained until we left, making it dangerous to unplug electrical and sewer as those were in 8-12 inches of water! Called the office and were told "nothing we can do". Seems they could have put a pump out there and run the line across the road to the "pond" and drained some of the water down. The trash dumpster (s) located near one of the restrooms were always overflowing, and smelling. Laundry $1.25 for wash, $1.25 for dry with 40 minutes drying. One washer and dryer "out of service" The pool looked nice enough from a distance. - Susan Flickinger
Mar 2017 - $35.00
We stayed at this campground with our two grandsons (14 and 12). We have stayed here several times and really like it, the sites are easy to park in and are level and fairly spacious. Our main reason for staying was the basketball court and the nice indoor pool for our grands. Our only problem was their tv provider had changed to a digital only signal, we still have analog TVs so this is something they need to tell you before u get there and the wifi was terrible but....we really like the campground, its location and all the amenities so we will definitely return with a digital tv. - Ace
Apr 2016 - $15.00
We stay here for the winter months. We are about the youngest retired couple here <60. We have never had anyone keep us out of a "group" because we like to join in. There is a clique within the resort like most places. You have to make yourself get out and be someone or be a friend. We've met many nice people here and keep these friends with us all year. :-). Some of us even connect in the summer.
There are some that work on their units while they are there and maybe work on some other projects but they are not doing this at night or early in the morning. If that was anywhere near me and I didn't like it I could find something to do in town. Gulf Shores has a lot of things to keep us happy and almost never hanging around the resort. Heck we have even gone to visit the hot tub. Oh yes, it is just that. A HOT tub. It isn't jetted or a jacuzzi. Just hot and good for a soaking after a big day of bicycle riding or beaching or power walking or just visiting the sites. So put your glad pants on and select your type of fun. All pets must be on a leash. This shouldn't be a problem. If it is keep your animal at home. We know there are cats that live in the park under campers etc. Perrrr-fect for catching small rodents, not a problem. But being an animal lover I like to see domestic cats on a leash. So worried over them possibly getting hurt by those wild cats and possibly a dog or heaven for bid hit by a car. I'm just saying if my dog is on a leash then your cats must be on one also. This past winter a couple of people walked their cats on a leash. Adorable!!! Everyone take care of my winter home. If you don't like it there please find yourself another home so the next person in line can enjoy our winter functions. Thank you! - Wendybrian

The main positive about this campground is the location. It can't be beat. It was within easy walking distance of the estuarium, Fort Gaines, the beach, etc. The restroom/shower building is in very good shape and the kids enjoyed the playground. As others have pointed out, the campground is a little cramped, but we had friendly neighbors and I learned a lot watching the procedures other people use when setting up and taking down camp. Food options are limited unless you are willing to drive or cook. We are likely to stay here again in the future, but primarily for the location. - SportDawgs
Apr 2018 - $37.00
New bathrooms and laundry. Very clean. Spring break week very busy but after - empty. (Weather was not good for beach.) Had a great site; roomy with some shade. Some sites are very tight. Had a guy next to us park in our site. (Would have been nice if he had asked.) New playground kept kids busy. Very good place for bird watchers during migration. Ferry and oil rig supply boats dock nearby so you have that noise. - pegdiver

Nice small RV park off Ft Morgan Road - 10 minute drive to most beach areas. Park is older yet with attention to maintenance is holding up well. Many long term seasonal campers. Bike trail right outside the park connects up to 20+ miles of biking at nearby Gulf State Park. We are here for two months, so rate reflects monthly rate. Hoping our second month is a enjoyable as the first. - TnEagle
Sep 2017 - $40.00
We had a great stay. This was our first camping experience in a travel trailer. Staff was friendly and accommodated our request for our friends and us to have spots next to each other. Close to the public beach and attractions. We will stay there again. - Mhallman9903
May 2017 - $35.00
We enjoyed this park enough that we have reserved it for a month this winter. It's location is great - close to activities but secluded enough to be quiet. Lots of trees and shade. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Showers were wonderful, and laundry facilities clean and neat. The park was clean and well tended. We didn't use the pool but looked nice and well tended. Only complaint would be that our picnic table was pretty much falling apart. - rcf

This place is low end. Stayed there only overnight before we packed it and found another campground. Small sites, poor connections, and a pot bellied pig that roams. Will not ever use this place again. - rsmith
Apr 2010 - $25.00
Easy off highway, right on the Intercoastal Waterway. It was neat watching the barges go up and down the canal. Lulu's (Jimmy Buffet's sister) Restaurant/Marina on other side of overhead bridge. Wal-mart 1/2 mile; Gulf of Mexico about 1 1/2 miles. Close to great restaurants, shopping, waterpark, Gulf. 9 miles to hospital. 3/4 mile to Urgent Care Center. Yes, the Route 59 bridge goes right over the edge of the campground but eventually you don't even notice it and when you're in your camper, you don't hear it at all. Unfortunately, the tent sites are right next to it but they are under the trees so I don't know how loud the traffic is there. Nothing special about this campground (no pool, no playground) except for proximity to dining, restaurants, and the town of Gulf Shores while still seeming to be "in the country". Restrooms dated but clean. Laundry good. Mostly seasonals but everyone friendly. We will stay here next year when we come to Gulf Shores and would recommend this park to others. - PennyPA

Apr 2017 - $34.00
This is the best park in the area. Friendly desk. Sites were concrete. Some had breaks and cracks but I would park my fifth wheel on any of them. Back-ins were easy and wide, many better than the pull through. I stayed in a pull through. We were in the open with no trees at our site but most were shaded with oak trees. Excellent for dogs. They have a paved walking path at the front that stretches for miles along the highway but 30 to 80 yards from the road with woods in between. I will stay here again. Two weeks in Florida and this is the best for the money we experienced. It was only topped by the Disneyworld camp Wilderness which cost 3 times as much per night. - JohnWheeler
Mar 2017 - $34.00
Quoted $34.20 for a pull through and $31.50 for backin. Their brochure advertises $35. With additional $3.00 for pull through. NO DISCOUNT even though brochure states "Good Sam Park". The charges are confusing, then there are the added taxes! Sites NOT level, concrete pads broken up, pavers placed here and there to "patch" breaks and missing concrete. It was very hard to level camper. Restrooms are very dated, although appear to be clean with mold on the grout between tiles, I do not consider it "clean". No dog run or specified area to walk dogs. Those who do not clean up after their dogs makes it nasty. Staff are pleasant but have a "that is the way it is" attitude. WIFI poor, verizon cell phone service non existent. - Susan Flickinger
