Mar 2019 - $22.00
Super quiet campground. There are only about a dozen sites available, but they are full hookups and on the lake shore. - SportDawgs
Oct 2017 - $22.00
Love the park! Sites are close together and it's a tad run down (like many AL State Parks) but it's dark and quiet at night and the sunrise over the lake is beautiful! - MSSW
Jun 2017 - $23.00
I was able to make reservations after repeated calls. This indicated to me that no one is there the majority of time. Despite leaving many messages I was never called back. I kept trying and finally got someone. The road to the park was very narrow. I did not see how any RV coming and going could pass on that particular road. That was quite a concern. Then I arrived at the office and no one was there. A note said just find a place and someone would be by to collect the money. I used the restroom at the office and they were very dirty and the toilet didn't flush. The lots seem very close with narrow distances between the lots. It had a beautiful lake nearby but with the entrance in and out being a safety concern, the condition of the office facilities and the lots not being what I found favorable, I turned around and left and found a private campground. I was very disappointed as I had read such favorable reviews. This campground is on my list of places not to return to. - HMathis58

Apr 2017 - $10.00
I was the only rv there besides a pop up in a different area. Host said I could choose a different spot since not many campers. But all the waterfront sites looked fine to me. The park is well kept and easy to move around in a large rv. It has a fence because of the steep bank of the beautiful river. No major roads are near, it was very quiet. the host was extremely accomodating. Nice park. - maine charactor
Jul 2014 - $10.00
Lovely park, host took us in her van to the best site in park. Lot 15. Rate reflects America the Beautiful senior rate. Get local directions. GPS won't get you there. 5 miles on old paved road. Started to turn around several times, but glad I didn't. This place is a gem! - Genecolleen
Apr 2013 - $18.00
This is a nice COE park with large trees, large sites, kids playgrounds and access to fishing. This is a very nice park and apparently is only full during summer weekends. They even have laundry facilities. What great value. It would be a nice place to spend some time and television is available via antenna. Access signage is a little inadequate so be sure you have good local directions. It is best to come from the Selma entrance. We would certainly stay again if in the area. - lrp374

May 2019 - $22.00
We had mentioned for a while we wanted to camp a Prairie Creek COE and finally did. We recently purchased some inflatable stand up paddle boards and desired to be on/near flat water with limited boat traffic. This place was perfect for that. It sits "on the banks" of Woodruff Lake. The lake is part of the scenic Alabama River in the region's Black Prairie Belt." Site 54 was about a 200ft walk to the docks where we launched our iSUPs and there were so many little parts of the lake to explore. The site itself was very nice and the roads were well maintained. Only two wishes.... 1. would like to have full hookup...the dump was not far so pulling the honey wagon was doable. 2. there was a wonderful tree on site but where it was located made it impossible to let the awning all the way out. But the site was well shaded so no biggie. Site was level and accommodated our 38' trailers fairly well. They did have a few power outages in our part of the park but apparently that never happens (according to the locals who camp here frequently.) But it was the hottest it had been all year during Memorial Day Weekend. But they got the main power box fixed and it was all good. No park WIFI but we travel with a Verizon MiFi Hot spot and it did enough to keep out 9&10 yr old wifi junkies from having withdrawals. We know we will be back And have never been disappointed by any COE park we have ever visited. Highly recommend. - lasmc805
Apr 2019 - $11.00
Nice COE park, concrete pads, paved roads, laundry, multiple bathrooms nicely spaced. On the river with great views from many sites. Both Selma and Mongtomery are fairly distant for shopping, no convenience store nearby. Tenting area has electric and water. Beautiful river side sites with good view from many of the sites. - travelingjerry
Mar 2019 - $12.00
Prairie Creek campground is another COE jewell. During our very rainy 3-day stay in late-Feb-early-Mar, we found the CG was well-maintained and frequently patrolled by park staff. Individual campsites were spacious; RV parking pads were wide, long, and concrete; bathroom and shower buildings were older but clean; and many sites had beautiful river views. We had electric/water service at our river-view site. We were lucky to have a peak-a-boo southern-sky view so we were able to set-up our DISH satellite. However, our Verizon hot spot was weak and often dropped its signal. Yes, it's a long way from a grocery or restaurant, so just remember to stock up before arriving. I imagine that the CG attracts lots of weekenders, but during the work-week, I have a sense that the CG might be a quiet place to do a little fishing and then hang-out around a campfire. The only note of caution I have to offer is that, given its woodsy riverside location, mosquitoes must be an issue during the summer camping season. - Kona Boy

Normal COE park located on a large reservoir connected to Alabama River. Campground is at end of approx 3 mile dirt/paved road. Once you are there it is very scenic and quite. No cell service with At&t, Verizon or T-mobile. Nearest grocery, etc is a 20 minute ferry ride across the river into Camden AL. $4.00 per car. $10.00 motorhomes. Price is with Sr./pass. We will return!!! - bowl2764
Jul 2018 - $20.00
A ways off the beaten path and down a dirt road to get there. Once your there it's worth it. Pretty lake although most sites aren't to close to it. - Bjb1775
Nov 2017 - $12.00
Great overnight stay. Due to my GPS I arrived just after dark so Camp host escorted me to site and helped me get backed in. - deechurch
