Stayed 3 nts space 24 great views of bay and mountains. Camp host was new pleasant. Mostly quiet. No spaces between campsites. We had 23ft class C and jeep in tow. Short drive or long walk to fish hatchery. Would stay here again - AGalinAZ
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This is a city park with no hookups located near the Valdez end of the Alaska pipeline. While there are no hookups, it has all of the scenic views that you could hope for. Also, the location is a fisherman's dream. It is located near the Valdez salmon hatchery and we were there near the start of the salmon run. The area was teaming with wild life coming for their evening meal - sea lions, otters, eagles, black-bears. If you are self-contained, then I'd recommend it. - mpruet
Jun 2015 - $18.00
Only reason to stay here is for the view! We were the only campers here for three days during the week. No hookups offered. Parked on gravel, no trees nearby to offer shade. Watched otters, eagles and seals everyday. Snow capped mountains right out the window. What a way to enjoy morning coffee. Enjoyed it more than those RV parks where motor homes are stacked close together. Camp host dropped by with information. Campground near the Valdez oil terminal. - Buckie

Aug 2019 - $41.00
This is a gravel RV park, no lawn or trees, as is common in Alaska. The park is convenient to everything in this small fishing village. Private restrooms with free showers are a nice benefit, although we are self-contained and don't need to use them. Setting was not conducive to sitting outdoors, since the sites are close and only on gravel. Many units seemed to be occupied by local workers. We saw other parks we might have preferred, but we had booked by phone before we saw the park. - Roaming Fishnuts
Aug 2019 - $47.00
Great location. Easy walk to harbor, restaurants, Safeway and day cruises. Gravel parking lot. Front row has nice view of wildlife marsh and a bit of the bay. Back to back sites except the very back row which backs up to grassy area and busy street. If you're first in you can pull thru but no true pull thrus, will still have to unhook. The one exception was our site, #41, which was an end spot pull thru. Very nice except your patio area is kinda in the road but there's enough room to put the picnic table in front of the RV. You can ask for 50 amp but you should be prepared to get 30 amp. Utilities work fine. Spots are tight, may or may not get your patio awning out. Picnic table. Office area has a nice covered deck with picnic tables where internet worked very good; not good at all at our site. Very nice laundry and five private bathrooms with no charge showers. Water pressure good. Voltage good. Verizon strong signal. Cable with 60 channels including HBO. Satellite worked fine. - VegasVagabonds
May 2019 - $52.00
We drove from Tok to Valdez (long slow drive 250 odd miles but slow go) and found this lovely RV park to be perfect for our needs. Cable TV, 50 amp and a front row view to magnificent eye candy. The mountains are nice to look at from your RV window. The location is within walking distance to everything. The total gravel park makes rain not an issue. Verizon worked well and the wifi was ok - no worse than others. Very empty but early in the season. It will be very very crowded when we go back at July 4th. Back ins, butt to butt, and good thing my DH can park them in tight spaces. - FrancisandRenee

Aug 2017 - $45.00
Nice rv park close to harbor action. Good staff. A bit tight, no place to walk dogs but place was clean. I would stay here again. - mrcamp
Aug 2016 - $60.00
Rate was for 5 adults, $5 extra over 2. Spots were gravel and tight. All showers and bathrooms were clean. Laundry was $3 each for wash and dry. Cable was good. Wi-Fi was unpredictable. Close to everything in Valdez. Nice lady during the evening for check-in. The gentleman during the day not so much. Not sure if we would stay again. - Curt F

Sep 2018 - $55.00
This is the best park we have visited in Alaska. Small, quiet, out of the way, on the water, $1.50 for washer and dryers, very clean and spacious private showers, and good cable TV. - RagFtw
Jul 2018 - $55.00
Takes a really nice place for us to give a 10. We are at the last stop on our three month tour of Alaska. Did the normal loop of all the road system (and some not road system) and we stayed in over 20 RV parks. This is the best one and glad we saved it for last. We are in Bear Paw 2 the adult park on the harbor. We are in space 8 and it is as good as it gets. The owner is gruff at first but what a good guy. You have a cable box for the cable TV. Piece of cake to hoop up. First box did not work they switched out no issues. Really a great way for us to end our bucket list trip in Alaska. - g and p
Jun 2018 - $55.00
I cannot remember if they give a discount. My receipt does not mention it. We used the laundry room and the bathrooms were clean as well. I cannot remember our site number but it was a back in with the small boat harbor right out the back of our trailer. We parked our truck next to our trailer. Very quiet here but close enough to everything. Good places to walk our dog near by. - m2dougherty

Aug 2015 - $15.00
Nice little campground and very busy. If you want a site, it's best to be here around 2 or shortly thereafter. Some sites are a little short, but there are some sites that will accommodate a large rig. Our 5th wheel is 32 feet. We fit in about half of the sites without a problem. There is beautiful scenery around the campground, but you can't see it without standing up because the bushes are so tall. It would be nicer if they cut them down a bit. There was a picnic table, fire ring and a bench to sit on at the fire ring, which was a nice touch. The grass around the table, etc. was mowed. Our phones (AT&T) didn't work, but our Verizon MiFi worked really well. - Bobbi1948
Jul 2015 - $15.00
The setting here is spectacular and the sites private. The only negative was the absence of any garbage cans of any kind. Since I clean up after my dog, this was rather inconvenient. Not sure how a person could stay more than a few days. - mockturtle
Jun 2015 - $20.00
Small camping site, but very nice. Amazing views - Great place to "dry camp". - StallingsFamily

Jul 2019 - $40.00
This is a wonderful, small family owned campground in Valdez near the Safeway. It is full service but only about 10 back in sites. Owners are friendly and hand out lots of information concerning Valdez. Our 30 amp outlet was not working (we used a dog bone to connect to 50 amp which was fine with us) and we had barely vacated our site before we saw the owner repairing the outlet. A cable box is available for use through we did not use it. Not sure about wifi because we provide our own. We would stay at this campground again. - roadking
Jul 2018 - $45.00
Very cozy small RV Park that is just a few blocks from the waterfront... we walked everywhere. When we took a long boat cruise to Columbia Glacier, the owner walked our dog and ensured that she was OK in our absence. There is a grocery store next door so we shopped for fresh food daily. Power was 50A and never dipped. Would definitely prefer this small park even though not on the waterfront. - cherib
Jun 2018 - $40.00
Loved the small camp grounds. Onwers very helpful and knowable about the area and fishing. We stayed almost two months and loved every thing except the damp rainy days, which only God had control over. Will defiantly stay there again. - Tjdphill

Jul 2018 - $40.00
I was drawn to this by the description of roomy sites and privacy and it looked great on the satellite view. Granted, the sites are roomy and private but the park really could use some attention - the roads are rough with pot holes and the greenery is overgrown. We were there on the weekend and there were plenty of children running wild. Many of the 20 electric sites were taken up with permanently placed trailers. Maybe the rate is a good deal if you are military but otherwise, no. We left after one night and moved to one of the parks in town. - CnCOntheGo
Jul 2016 - $30.00
We used this campground as our base to take a glacier tour boat out of Valdez. It was adequate. We chose an electric site and the price seemed typically high for Alaska. Sites were open and some of the electric sites had permanently parked travel trailers, I presume for military family use. We were here midweek, so it was quiet. A good base for sightseeing and quite a bit better than the wall-to-wall parking lot campgrounds located right in town. If I were ever in the area again, I would probably come back. - Marsha D
Jun 2016 - $25.00
Combined-use military and public - $5 discount for military. This is an "Iron-Ranger" facility, although there is a camp-host on-site. Near as we could tell, all were back-in sites - plenty roomy, and only a limited number had electric (20/30/50); no water, no sewer. Sites were fairly level and well-drained. Facilities were neat and clean, including dump station; fresh-water was a hose on a reel behind the showers. Also "under-the-pattern" for Valdez airport - quite a bit of rotary traffic, but is no issue. All things considered - good value. Fire-rings, tables. - johngalt

Jun 2018 - $40.00
If you don't need walking-distance to downtown Valdez (it's 3-miles out), this is a great place to stay. An established RV park but recently became a KOA. Owner is friendly and accommodating - he moved us to a more suitable site before we asked. Level sites, some pull-thru and some back-in. A well-stocked bale channel list. Verizon good; wifi worked reasonably well. Shower combined with restroom, in two rooms. An well-stocked RV parts store in the office. No sewer connections at sites but on-call honey wagon. Good mountain views from the park. - TheBreeze
Jun 2017 - $40.00
They have exactly 1 washer/1 dryer for the entire park. The same building holds 4 stalls that are toilet/showers for both Men & Women. (A toilet & shower are one room. Total 4 rooms.) - CMD

Aug 2019 - $50.00
To me this is a typical RV park in Alaska, gravel parking lot. Sites were close together but big enough to park our 40' 5th and full size PU. No trees or any type of border between sites. Friendly staff and very close to everything there is to do in Valdez, we walked all the time. All the power, water, sewer, laundromat, Verizon worked well. The WIFI was bad. There is a gas station and a restaurant located on the property or at least adjoining the property. - RandL
Jul 2018 - $60.00
We stayed in the 600 row, which is the row right directly behind the Safeway loading dock. Due to Safeway's need to use the semi trailer refrigerated trailer for additional freezer space, this trailer ran 24 hrs a day and cycled from hi to low all of these hours. It was impossible to sleep through this. I recommend that you avoid this row and the row behind. Also the Tesoro service station has a car wash that is available all night and it gets used a lot with the air drying working really great with a lot of noise. The RV park personnel working were very kind and courteous. The City and docks were very interesting, and all in all it was a wonderful place to visit. - Bob Davies
Jul 2018 - $54.00
July 4th fireworks noise not unexpected. Very friendly staff: took us to our site, grilled salmon for whole park, clean grounds and great location. - MiLindaNGary
