The staff was very friendly and the manager was very accommodating! We had very good WIFI and the sites were very clean. The sites also had hedges between sites, so that your privacy was enhanced. The only drawback was the fact that the power, water and sewer were all located near the front of the site so you had to position the RV closer to the front of the site than you would like. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice back in site, full hookups, friendly staff, clean Town of Cochrane has many stores for groceries or hardware supplies. Close enough to drive to Calgary to check out the big city. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The office at the entrance to the park where you register has a well laid out area for parking. Office staff was friendly and went over the rules, the park facilities and amenities. Our site was an end one which made it necessary to drive the wrong way around and back in, even though it was a pull-through. Our rig was just under the 30 ft max for the site. Most of the sites can handle up to 40 ft. except for perimeter and end ones. The good gravel site pad was fairly level. Hookups were in the middle which made it easy for my connections. All utilities worked well. OTA TV reception brought up 6 channels from Calgary. Satellite TV should be possible at many sites since most of the trees were small. Even though staff warned me to connect to the free Wi-Fi while still parked at the office, I was able to connect from the site. It was good enough for email and browsing, but don't try it for downloading or streaming; if you go over the preset limit, connection will be cut for 7 days. Garbage and Recycles are near the entrance. There is access to a public walking path along the river. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

What a wonderful RV park. Many other reviews tell the story so I'll just say, what a wonderful rv park. Our rate reflects that we were there during the Calgary Stampede and the park was full. The only surprising thing considering how spacious everything is, is that the laundry room is tiny for the number of washers and dryers they have which all worked well. $3 Loonies per load for wash and 3 for dry. The small town of Cochran is a funny place. Main street has an old hotel and lots of shops/restaurant and they are known for fabulous ice creme at McKay's. But the rest of town looks like it was just put up a year or so ago. Very clean, modern and lots of good services. The Safeway has a wonderful selection; and a great bakery (very hard to find nowadays) is Cob Bakery. Along with a lovely Starbucks and a smallish Wal-Mart. The off leash dog, walking, running path behind the park is amazing. Such well behaved dogs and a wonderful place for our fur babies. We were still able to pick up Dish Satellite from Montana. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

McKay's in town for homemade icecream. Cob Bakery - wonderful Starbucks offers Clover. If you've never had a clover coffee (not made from clover, it's a reverse press process that gives the cleanest, freshest flavor), get one. You'll get hooked.

The park is a non-profit enterprise run by the local Lions and Kiwanis club, so all profits go back into the community. It is nicely run. Shrubbery between the sites, full service 30 amp site for us. Campground borders the river and bike trail. Friendly staff. Bike/hike trail. Off leash dog area. Walmart and groceries within a mile or so. Showers 2 loonies for 5 minutes. Laundry 6 loonies for a load. Change machine in laundry room. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Large, publicly owned RV park along the Bow River in what appears to be a rapidly growing redevelopment area. A little hard to find - make sure your GPS has the exact coordinates. Best to call to confirm directions. Check in was easy, staff is friendly and helpful. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Gravel pull-through site was level and long enough for the coach and toad. Shrubs/trees between sites creates a feeling of privacy, plus there was a plot of grass and a picnic table and firepit. Our site was satellite friendly. No cable TV. Hookups were good, but breaker switch can be tough to find. WiFi was fine. Verizon coverage was spotty. No enclosed dog park, however, the trail along the river behind the park is offleash. But there is no fence between the trail and the hillside above the river. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

What a beautiful park! Landscaping in between each site makes it feel private and spacious. The staff is very helpful. They have back-in and pull-thru sites. The sites are gravel and are raked every time they are vacated. They are also level. No cable TV and very few over air channels. Wi-fi not very good, even close to the office. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park. Many of the sites are pull thru's and very Big Rig friendly with easily navigable asphalt roadways. The utility hookups are perfectly sited and each space is bordered by hedges and usually a shade tree. A nice grassy area is accompanied by a picnic table and a fire ring located on the gravel. Sites are perfectly level. We did not use the restrooms or showers but based on how well maintained the rest of the park is I presume these are well kept as well. The only reason I can't give the park a 10 is due to spotty WiFi. The network indicates it's the "new" Bow RiversEdge WiFi so I presume they tried to upgrade. However, the park was also quite full (reserve in advance for the summer season!) so I suspect their WiFi bandwidth was often maxed out. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cochrane is centrally located to both Calgary and Banff NP. We took the train from Tuscany station into town several times including Stampede grounds. One could drive the Trans Canada Highway for a little over an hour to enjoy Banff and the NP. Lake Louise is another 45 minutes northwest but could be experienced while still camping in Bow RiversEdge.

We stayed four nights at this park. It has been our favorite park so far here in Canada and Alaska. The park is very well maintained, level sites, stable power and GREAT water pressure. The laundry is very nice and clean. We really liked how the sites don't feel that close together due to the landscaping between sites. Plenty of room for our 41' motorhome and 4dr Jeep. There is a great walking trail next to the RV park along the river. There is a Walmart and restaurants are close buy. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

A well maintained campground with paved roads and nice level gravel sites. Stayed in a back in river site. Nicely maintained hedges between each of the sites to provide more privacy. New WiFi which was free and works great for normal uses. They have a good set of rules and expect everyone to abide with them. If you select a river site, be aware that there is a public trail along the river and the campground has a fence but I think everyone in the town of Cochrane that has a dog brings it here to walk since it is a "no leash" section of the trail. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for several days in a 43' 5th wheel, very easy to back into site but narrow and not deep enough to park the truck conveniently.
