Very friendly helpful staff / owner. When we had a maintenance issue, they worked things around to give us an extra night and a late departure (without extra charge) even though the park was pretty full. An excellent RV Tech resides in the park and came right away to help us determine what part was needed and where to order overnight online. As others have commented, sites are quite wide and hookups good. But streets are not very wide, especially when people don't park close to their RV and trying to turn into your space without running over (and possibly damaging) the concrete pad. We had a hard time with our 34' motor home and felt sorry for a 40'er, in the end he had to drive over the patio. Wonderful nature trail as part of the park, at least 1 1/2 mile, with shorter options. Most sites have 2 large bushes providing some shade and privacy. Did have to use a couple boards to level on one side. Nice to have cable, WiFi is so-so. Verizon good but no T-mobile. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park's nature trail; 35 miles to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Several others went over the border to Sonoyta, Mexico and felt it safe. Little local museum very good (only open afternoons).

Very nice quiet park in a very small town. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is a good choice. $300/mo. and 7th night free for weeklies. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ask for a site in the rear of the park, they appear to be a little larger and easier to fit. We had a time getting near the cement pad and having room to extend our slides. The park was very quiet this time of year, most people who are full time in the Winter are heading out in April. WiFi worked well. The town is not much to write home about; we came to visit the Organ Pipe Cactus National Park which is wonderful. Be sure and take the 21 mile drive. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here while visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The staff at the office was very friendly. She gave us a choice of two sites and even drove us to each site so we can make our choice. The campground is very tight and even a drive thru site is very difficult to maneuver in and out because the site and roads being so narrow. We have a 34 foot fifth wheel. The roads and sites are gravel. Some of the sites do not have a concrete patio. We did have a half size picnic table. The wifi and cable tv worked good. AT&T cell phone worked but not AT&T data. Verizon MiFi worked. I would look for another park next time because of the difficulty of getting in and out of my camp site. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is about 30 miles south. If you go there sign up for the van tour with a Ranger around Ajo Mountain Drive, excellent. In Ajo go to the copper mine overlook, any questions talk to Bob, very knowledgeable person about the mine. Ajo has a beautiful plaza downtown.

We enjoyed our stay here while visiting Organ Pipe National Monument; friendly check in, good Passport America discount, and large sites. We were placed in one of the upper rows where there is a great view of the mountains, in a fairly level gravel site. Cable TV worked well as did the WiFi, and there were no obstructions to the satellite but only 4 OTA channels. Verizon cell and 4G were good. Still quiet here in advance of the snowbirds, and dark and quiet at night. A good place to stay at an attractive price. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Easy to access from AZ 85. Private sites with large shrubs screening the sites. The sites have concrete patios and gravel for the RV and are level. The staff in the office were excellent and extremely friendly. The laundry room was very clean with many washers and dryers. There is also another facility not far away. The park is very well maintained. It is a great place to stay when visiting the area: Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park in a very pleasant town. My site was not very level but the laundry was clean and and CATV and Wifi worked very well. Good Verizon signal. Stayed here overnight several times between longer stays at Organ Pipe Cactus NM, about 35 miles south, to get laundry done and to watch football. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Olsen's IGA a couple of miles north has everything you need in the way of groceries as well as an ACE hardware section. The PO and library are in the lovely central Plaza. Did not try any of the restaurants but there are several.

Overall Rating:

I visited in late September which is still off-season in this region. Their office has limited hours (closing at 4 pm M-F, closed weekends) during the off-season, but you can check in and seek assistance after hours at the gas station next door (owned by the same owner) if needed. There were a few permanent guests, but the park was mostly empty, and their voice mail indicates that reservations aren't required during the summer months. Facilities include a clubhouse which includes pool tables (no charge), a kitchen, an activity room, and more. They also have a laundry room and amply sized restrooms. Restroom and laundry room are secured with a key which you are issued at check-in, and can leave in a drop box when you leave. WiFi signal was strong (I was parked near the restrooms). I would consider the internet speed to be somewhat slow but very reliable. I would definitely stay at this RV park again if visiting in the future. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park and the lower sites are quite narrow, but fine if you have no slides or a smaller RV. There were a few older motorhomes without slides and some Pleasureway type units in these sites. There are nice wide sites on the upper levels. It's not a fancy park and there are limited park activities, but this is Ajo. The laundry is cheap ($1.25 wash and .50 dry) and the laundry and washrooms are clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Quite a few Canadians. We saw one small site with a tent and van. Some younger couples, so it's not 55+. Wi-Fi is excellent and there is cable TV for those of us without satellite. We would stay here again. We found it very friendly and convenient. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very rude person yelling profanities at one of the campers in our group. The person in our group just stopped to unhook. This guy who I think was the owner comes out screaming get that f#$%^&& out of the way. He was about 250 lbs and big 45 years old, screaming at a mild 81 year old. I would not stay here again if I was paid to do so. We stayed in the front row. My 50 amp service was a 30 amp. WiFi was almost totally non working. Spaces in the upper half of the park very unlevel. The staff besides the owner were fine. However, he was way way way out of line. If we had another RV park to stay in in the area we would have left. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites are separated by oleander, have a picnic table, and concrete patio which are nice. The camp host and manager were extremely friendly & helpful in giving information about the area and Mexico. The cable worked well. My Sprint cell was roaming and my Verizon card worked well. The park Wi-Fi was extremely slow most of the time, then at other times it worked okay. No dog walk to speak of or other frills such as a pool. The park was quiet at night. I would return to this park if in the area again. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

There are lots of 'rules' at this park, which seemed to go along with the attitude we perceived during our stay. This park felt more crowded than ones we have stayed at previously or since. No room to move or sit outside and the spots were reach out and touch your neighbor - kind of tight. People coming and going in their rigs past us were too close for comfort on the 'roads' through the park. The free Wi-Fi did not function when we were there. When we mentioned it on checking out the response was, "Oh well, at least you didn't have to pay full price (we had the Passport America discount). The washrooms were quite nice and very clean. The flowers were in bloom and the grounds were well kept. You can get outside the park through gates (with your washroom key) to walk to a store or up a trail so that part was nice, but we would not stay here again. We camped at Shadow Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.
