Behind fresh jerky store. Wonderful staff. A little close to busy train tracks but no train whistle. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 3rd time staying here. Price has gone up, but Passport America discount is available. Under new management. Laundry facilities & Gift Shop. Easy on and off Rt 10. Lots of places to walk dogs. Good place to overnight. Some highway and train noise. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Great spot for a one-night stayover. Great location, just off I-10. Great service pedestals. Sewer was one of the nicest ones - raised and protected. Cute store attached with gas station and homemade jerky and pies. Right next to major train tracks but they don't have to blow their horns as there are no crossings. Just the rumble of trains passing in the night...very soothing. Safe and pretty desert setting. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Only stayed one night here. Park is right off I-10 and is easy in and easy out. All sites are pull thru with all the electric plug-ins. It is right in the middle of the desert, so to speak with beautiful nite skies and a view of the mountains in every direction. Trains do go by the park, sometimes 2 at a time. Not a big deal for me. Great store with as advertised along the highway - jerky, fruits, jellies, etc. and plenty of nice gifts. Would stay here again. I gave a 4 star rating because of the rate I was charged. It is a Passport America park and she told me 16.80 and charged me 32.90. I am getting back to them on this problem. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Small park behind a gas station and gift shop. Easy on and off I10. Totally gravel with well marked and level sites. The park is very clean and well kept. Full hookups easy to connect. 4 bars Verizon. 3-4 bars wifi at site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of neat gifty stuff in the little shop. Lots of jerky and nuts. I did not use the bathhouse but looked at them. Nothing special. Seen better and I have seen worse. I would use them if i did not have my own in my motorhome. These same bathrooms are used by the public getting gas or in the gift shop. I used the laundry room. Again nothing special but very usable and reasonably priced. wash $1.75 dry $1.00. My only complaint is that the bath house and laundry get locked up early. Not sure about the bath house but laundry is at 4. Would I stay there again? YES! You can't beat the convenience of location and full hookups for the price. And the friendly staff. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We confirmed our reservation before arriving. When we arrived, the woman helping us wasn't sure there was room. There was one spot open and we think she found our reservation. We used the restrooms early in the evening but later found that they were locked. Apparently they lock them sometime after closing the store and reopen them before opening the store. It would have been appreciated if we had been told that before the store closed. The sites were level and open - not much more than a large gravel lot. There is train noise during the night, but most of the night there were no trains. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times. It is open and there are lots of trains going by [about every 15 minutes] but I'm a train buff so it was great. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Tidy campground and very friendly. A host told us to pick a site, get set up and then come into office and settle up. So we pulled into a site and were setting up when I saw that we had driven over a fire ant hill and they were swarming all over! Not a good thing, their bite is very painful. So we picked everything thing up from the ground and moved to a different site. So glad there was an ant hill free site. Went into office and paid for our night. They sell all sorts of nuts, fudge and jerky and had lots of samples on the counter and we were encouraged to try whatever we wanted. The park is owned by a company that has a nut tree farm. Along the road were acres of pecan and pistachio trees. Since hubby has a nut allergy he didn't sample and we didn't buy any but the samples I had were very tasty. And the lady in the office was very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here on a dark rainy night on our way west. We called ahead and spoke to a friendly woman who told us we could just come in, pick a spot and pay in the morning. The weather was terrible and we never left the Rv so we can't speak to the facility other than it was level and easy to pull in. In the morning we stopped in the store to pay and met the affable owner who gave us samples of jerky (delicious), coffee, great travel advice and entertained us with his quick wit. We left smiling and happy! We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is associated with Dwaynes Fresh Jerky. Nice store with a big selection of jerky, salsas, nuts, candy, etc. and very nice folks. The RV park is spartan but a good value for full hook ups and convenient to I-10. It could have been cleaner. Bathrooms are open to public, we didn't use them. Close to train tracks so you will hear some trains but didn't bother us. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Women in store were very helpful. I liked the fact that I could pick my own campsite. On my third night there I was approached by a man who did not identify himself. He was very rude and belligerent because I had driven behind "his" row. I felt uncomfortable staying after that. The bathroom was open to the public and the shower had no lock on door. We arrived for an overnight stay, and we're pleasantly surprised about the reasonable rate for full hookup. And the park was very well kept up, the lots were nice size, not overly packed together like many parks. The owner is very friendly, Verizon repeater was good. We will return. Easy on and off from interstate. Be sure to take the WEST business loop. Check in and very friendly staff. Sites Are level and long. Hookups all work well. We had an end spot near the train tracks. Trains rarely blow their whistles here and we slept fine (even with one of us being a light sleeper). We would return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an all gravel RV park with level sites and few trees. Hookups worked well. Check in was fast and easy. Sites are wide. Trains run all night, but that isn't too unusual near these western parks it seems. Price is great. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
