Dec 2018 - $30.00
The camp hosts, and there were more of them than campers at this time of year, said that December is a quietest month of the year here, and that proved to be very true for us. Site #15 faced the lake and offered great views through our windshield of all the birds. All the sites are very spacious and level. The park was very well-maintained and clean. The showers were large, clean, and had plenty of hot water, but the shower building itself was not heated, and it was warmer outside a few times than inside. The interior park trails are nicely kept, wide, with good walking surface (semi-packed sand) and pretty vegetation all around. The "island" area of the park is great, with a swimming beach area, though it was too cold for that during our stay, picnic ramadas, outdoor showers, horseshoe pits, and great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There are several places to put in for boating/fishing. It was too chilly to kayak, but in warmer weather, I certainly would have. The natural hot tub, however, is no longer hot. The VC volunteer said it stopped working sometime within the last year, and they have no idea when or even if it will ever be hot again. Safford is a short drive from the park for all major amenities, and there is a large propane dealer along the way, as well. The lady working the office of the propane dealer sells her farm-fresh eggs, too! The Coronado N.F. is close for some good hiking opportunities. Inside the park we saw several water birds (blue heron, coots, egrets, ducks, mergansers), other birds (yellow-winged blackbirds, vermilion flycatcher, hawks), coyotes, and jackrabbits. We got three OTA TV channels, the park has free wifi (spotty), and we had 2-3 reliable bars of Verizon 4GLTE (good enough to stream on my phone.) - Chasing Dirt

Nice CG, Stayed in Cottonwood Loop, all sites are back-In with a Ramada, Pea Gravel on Asphalt Pad, Long and wide sites, Well Maintained, Had 3 bars of AT&T data and good cellular service. Good Dish Satellite but no OTA reception. Very Quiet. This is my 4th stay here. Local town of Safford has a Walmart, Safeway & Home Depot for shopping. - Lugnuts
Mar 2018 - $25.00
It is a beautiful state park. Located on a lake with mountains surrounding so the view is great. Nice places to walk and enjoy nature. Good idea to make a reservation because since this is an older park and they don't have as many long spots for RVs. They were full when we were there. - mountainfan
Oct 2008 - $8.00
Simply a place to park and hook-up. There are no amenities at this fairground. All sites are back-in, side-by-side. No trees, pads, tables, etc. All sites are dirt backing up to horse racing track. - Scott S.
May 2017 - $25.00
We arrived about 4:15 during a weekday for a reservation that was made prior. There wasn't anyone at the desk and the number that was left to call, no one answered. We drove around the park once with someone stopping us to help us out. This person was pleasant to work with. I feel the park has great potential, but needs some love. There were numerous weeds everywhere. The pool looked inviting and clean, but I'm sure it was still too cool for a dip. The laundry facility was clean, but we did not use it. There were several long term tenants; some staying in a old RV with four flat tires. The site was set up as a back in site but I drove through which put the connections on the opposite side, no big deal for a over night stay. Even though this stay was questionable, I would consider staying again if needed. - LannyB01
Apr 2017 - $20.00
Was a little unnerving to stay here. Seemed to be a lot of partying, drinking, drugs. Lots of traffic. A bit scary for our life style. Lots of weeds, lots of dirt. No manager to be found most of the time. - Adrene
Aug 2014 - $25.00
This park was well taken care of. Restrooms were clean. It was nice to have access to a full kitchen to cook in. The club house was quiet and a great place to relax. We plan to stay here again during the winter months. - Abigal M
Feb 2016 - $20.00
This park is mostly mobile homes and park models with primarily snowbird residents. They seemed to be extremely friendly to short-stay RV'ers like us. Anyone who walked by had a friendly word and pleasant conversation.
The park has a few RV sites at the front. They are a bit tight to get into, but the wide road in front simplifies access. Most are shaded (unusual in this part of Arizona) so don't count on a satellite shot. The park does have Wi-Fi, but only at the clubhouse. Our Verizon cellular signal was adequate but not strong. The laundry is excellent and extremely inexpensive - we paid only $5 for three loads wash and dry!
If we were in the Safford area again, we would probably stay here. - wandrr
Aug 2015 - $20.00
We stayed at this Mobile Home Park due to a tire failure.. and could not have picked a better place to stay! The staff went above and beyond, helping us get into the site, (we were exhausted from the ordeal we had that day), connected us with a mobile repair business and generally made the end of a horrible day very nice. The sites have mature trees shading them and are spacious. Its a very clean and lovely park with very nice amenities; clubhouse, pool etc. Its very quiet and with on site staff, you are very well taken care of. If in the area again, we would return without a doubt! - TrueView
May 2014 - $22.00
This park had a lot of shade but the it is an older park and could use some updating. There were to many rundown trailers, which made the place seem to lose its curb appeal. - Lucy B
May 2017 - $50.00
Had to walk through weeds to do anything, promised internet and TV got neither, nearly impossible to find a worker and when you do they are very rude and unwilling to help. This is a great place to steer clear of and keep your travels happy. - Adrene
Oct 2014 - $25.00
Arrived mid afternoon, the office was not clearly marked. The manager was even harder to find. Spaces are very close. The people next to us had their vehicle parked on top of the water – they moved it. Went to hook up the TV cable and it appeared that someone had vandalized it. Called office, message said return call 24 hours later . So there was no TV and no WiFi, knew about the WiFi going in. Antenna did not work, for TV. Walked up to office in the morning and asked for some of our $$ back – she said NO. Not a very welcoming place IMHO. Not a return destination for us - grammajudy
Apr 2014 - $25.00
This park had small lots with too many weeds. There was not much for shade and the pool area was to small for my liking. There was also too much trash around the park. The park did, however, have a nice walking area around a pond. - Abigal M
Mar 2018 - $15.00
Parked beside the bathhouse in a overflow spot. Good gravel base. Check was good. WiFI good. Did not get the cable box from the office. Only two Spanish OTA TV stations. Satellite would work in this space. Would stop again for an overnight. - dfc
Mar 2015 - $15.00
We were put in an overflow site as the park was full, mostly of permanent residents. But the manager tried her best to accommodate us. We were parked right next to the showers and had just electric hooked up. We were very happy. We had a view of the snow capped mountains. This is a pretty mobilehome park. Neighbors were friendly. We would stop here again. - johnanann
Apr 2013 - $22.00
This was a good park for an overnight or a day or two, but it's primarily a mobile home park, not an RV park. They have a few sites that can handle big rigs, but it was a very tight squeeze for our 43-ft MH. Park was clean and all hookups were fine. It's very conveniently located in the town of Safford, but signage for the park entry is easy to miss. Slow down as you approach and be prepared for a narrow entry. - Buckeye44
