Awesome stay due to awesome management and staff. Amenites were fantastic as well as weekly activities. Happy hour, weekly dinners in Recreation Building. Management and staff provided a Thanksgiving brunch with Turkey, Ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and wine. Guest provided pot luck dishes. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

We paid for two weeks, left after one week in spite of no refund. Could only walk to a service station because of the way the hi-way was structured so could not get around to the town. Also the road noise was horrible. Pros: New park, well laid out, nice facilities with two separate bath houses and laundries. Laundry facilities were awesome. The camp store had lots of beverages, souvenirs, snacks, etc. Trail down to the river. Several faux grass pet areas with poop bags provided. Within walking distance of a Wendy's and gas station minimart but that is it. Cons: If you don't have a toad (we don't) transportation for hire such as Lyfts and Uber are nonexistent and taxis and the shuttle are very very expensive and a main reason why we left after one week. Road noise is horrendous thanks to very busy hi-way. Customer Service was interesting since you never got the same answer twice about services. One clerk said there was no propane delivery and another clerk told us otherwise but didn't know the name. A visitor in the park provided the information thankfully. Summary: Overall this will be a beautiful place when it matures, but right now it looks a bit barren and without trees or barriers the road noise is awful. Lots of places to walk the dogs around the campground but keep them away from landscaped areas. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

A very enjoyable stay for us. We enjoyed the wonderful pool and hot tub, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Free Saturday morning waffles and many other cooked meals and get-togethers. The sites are designated well and easy to get into and hookups are right where they should be. The common areas are all planted in grass and they work hard to keep grass growing and green. Many huge trees in the park so there are many shaded sites. There are many view sites also, some are pull-throughs and most are back-ins. Some monthly sites but you have to pay for electric metering. There is a clean well-lighted dog park available and several dog poop collection cans around the park with poop bags available. Laundry facilities are available at two different locations. Showers and restrooms available at three locations. A well layed out recreation center is available with exercise equipment. The club house is large and will accommodate large groups. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Sewer, water and electric difficult to hook up to, way too close to the front of the rig. No shade and the river channel has moved so we were NOT on the river, but charged for riverfront. Limited space to park the TV once the 5ver was set up. Staff friendly and helpful in most instances, but would not let us park our TV on the other side of the road even though the spot was open all weekend. No picnic table, fire pit or patio, however the site was pretty level. Satellite reception was great, NO TREES in the way. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects weekly rate. They charge $1 daily for more than one vehicle. Landscaping is a work in progress and they are attempting to grow grass in the sites. Four washers $2.25 for front loaders and $1.75 for top loaders. Six dryers at $1.75. OTA channels were excellent. Wifi was sporadic but we were told on check-in that they were in the process of changing providers. Speed limit is strictly enforced with initial warning at check-in. We used the pool and hot tub once. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

All the people running the park were very pleasant and helpful. The washroom and shower facilities were spotless. We only stayed a couple of nights but we would stay there again. Some sites were bigger than others with concrete pad and patios but we didn't. It was also a back in site. Site was a little narrow without the patio space. If you are getting the deluxe site be sure to ask for the ones with the patios. We were in a 40 ft 5th wheel trailer. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very clean park with great staff. They picked up your trash daily from your site, provided breakfast on Sunday and a small party with refreshments on Friday night. The area was quiet and the park was newly renovated. The pet area was fenced in and cleaned often. The park was spacious with a few sites back to back but still with enough room for us. Staff was always busy doing stuff around the park and was very accommodating to request (we asked for a picnic table & got 1 within the hour). The laundry room was clean and all machines were working. The only con was the tiered45 pricing of some lots that seems weird but they were fine for us. We will be back. This is a nice park. You can tell that they've really been trying hard to improve it. We had originally reserved a river front site, but storms the month before had caused the river to rise and was out those sites. They immediately called me and relocated us to one row back, which was still nice. Check in was easy and they escort you to your site and help you back in. The water pressure was really good and we did not have any issues with the electrical. We didn't use the wifi and were able to get ok data with sprint. We will definitely come back here again. We searched for a place to spend the winter and use as a base of operations to explore the Sedona area. Boy, did we luck out! This park is under eager new management and has just implemented an expensive renovation. Everything's new, clean and modern. The place sprawls-there's generous separation between sites, clubhouse, pool and multiple laundry/bath houses. Our laundry experience was the best in over a year on the road (can't beat new facilities). Well-lit at night, the camping area is completely fenced, bordered by the Verde River on one end and protected by a coded security gate on the other. With a combination of pull-thrus and back-ins, there is trash pick-up service and new utility hook-ups. Management has a strong rules ethic without being fascist and runs an active social schedule throughout the week. Wi-Fi works well, except during heavy usage hours. We preferred OTA TV channels to the free cable TV service. Site #403 was close to level but utilities were separated (requiring a long sewer extension for us). Electricity was reliable; we lost water pressure twice in six weeks (while work was being done?). Bottom line: great experience. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here on our way South for the winter. Everything is brand new in the park. The laundry & bathrooms/showers are very up to date and clean. Sewer hook up needs work, but is usable. The pool area is one of the nicest we have seen. Their cottages are brand new and all have a nice porch. I was given a FHU dirt/gravel pull-thru that was plenty big enough for my RV. Sites are staggered, but you still are 25'-30' from your neighbor. Wifi worked at better times of the day. I was able to use my dish and most spots are in the open. Landscaping was ongoing during our visit. Once all the upgrades are completed this will be a 5 star park. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

We booked this stay online. We were given a weekly rate at $178 plus taxes which worked out to about $30/night. We saw the reviews about how they are fixing up and re-doing a lot of the park and were hoping for improvement when we got there. We arrived on a Sunday and picked up our assigned spot at the office since no one was in the office. The site they assigned us to was cramped in between 2 long stay vehicles one with 2 big dogs running unleashed and a tree that probably would not allow for us to put out slides. There were other sites vacant so we looked at the ones in the box assigned to others arriving that day and any that would have worked were already assigned. We looked at their policy about canceling and said they would charge $10 for it. They had already charged our credit card $30. We left them a note apologizing for the cancelation and told them we could see good things happening, but we were heading elsewhere for the night. We emailed them as well that night and said we would be expecting a $20 credit. They have made no attempt at communicating with us or given us the credit. You can see that they are making improvements and hopefully in the future it will be a nice park. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

I appreciate the fact that the new owners are trying to create a beautiful park but at the time we were there it was just a run-down location with no amenities. True they were coming sometimes in the future. Their sign says spring 2017 (not a chance). For what we got the rate was way too high and they did not accept Good Sam's (even thought they have a Good Sam's rating). The sites were gravel and grass or should I say weeds. But they were level and the services were good (we had 50amp). There was no dog park. You had to walk them on the gravel roads. The grass was not really grass but some sort of prickly weed that the dogs refused to walk on. While we were there there was a lot of construction equipment used digging up septic tanks or grading the grounds of the yet to open club house pool and spa. Need I say dusty. I saw the drawings of what they want the park to be in the future but would not return until they occurred. The rate is too high for what they have now. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

This is a park in transition. New owners are making changes to the resort, adding getaway cabins and improving facilities. Presently, sites are grass and gravel with convenient utilities. A new laundry and restroom facility is clean and a good change from the past. Staff was friendly and helpful, the office now in the old KOA building in the campground. There was some hint that PPA would not be honored soon. The location is quiet, permanent residents are located in the back of the campground, nearest the Verde River. Wouldn't be our first choice but could return here in the future. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.
