Very clean park. Shows pride of ownership. Enjoyed our stay...friendly people. Park is close to nearby cities and can be used as a staging point to visit all the area attractions. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a week in mid-March. Our level gravel pull-through site was very spacious being both long enough and wide enough. At this time of year, the trees had no leaves but I can imagine they would provide much needed shade during the warmer months. Our site was quiet because it was far enough away from the road. We had good over the air TV channel reception. Data coverage was spotty on both AT&T and Verizon. The sewer connection comes out to the ground at angle making difficult, but not impossible, to connect the sewer hose. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Clean park, lots of leaves. Constantly using gas blowers all day long. We stayed for 2 months and rates reflect that. We were going to stay for the winter. They are very clickish saving long term spaces for their friends. Reserved a spot for next winter, then they changed the spot without asking us. Used the excuse of better satellite and wifi reception, but the truth was longtime campers insisted that was their spot. When we contacted management they said it would be better if we left which we did. Had breakfast social Saturday mornings . People said hi, but for the most part we were outsiders. Other RV parks in the area are much friendlier and nicer. Will never return to this park. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This 55+ park offers a maximum of what we needed the most: quiet. Sites are immaculately groomed gravel with intelligently placed and well executed hook-up fixtures. Our site was bordered on one side by an 8' fence which separated the site from a woodpile and brush dump and other camp maintenance stuff. There is a community fire pit because fires are not allowed in the sites. Our site lacked usable WiFi which was pay for play after 30 minutes. Cell signal was even more absent. This was our base camp for exploring Sedona, Jerome, Clarkdale and environs. Highly Recommended. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park ..... utilities are all well placed, very wide, shaded sites. Campground roads are all very wide and in good repair. We had no problems negotiating corners with our Freightliner and 5th wheel. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Park is centrally located to all attractions in the area. This is a really nice adult park in Camp Verde. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. We had a very nice man escort us to our site and help back up in. These sites are nice and wide, with a wooden fence in between to separate you from your neighbor. We were in site 12. It was easy to back into and was up against a hill that blocked the wind, which was nice. My only complaint was that there was a lot of traffic noise from Hwy 260. It wasn't too bad when we were inside, but it was hard to ignore when we were sitting outside. There isn't much around the park, but there is a nice trail that leads down to the creek. We would stay here again. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a total 10 from the moment you check in. Very clean and well maintained park, perhaps one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. It's so nice to be out of the "resort style" parks. Nice and down to earth. Sites are a good size. Someone mentioned road noise, during the day there is a bit but nothing distracting at night it's very quite here. No cable but picked up about 35 TV channels OTA. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Friendly office and ground maintenance staff. Nice walking trails to the creek. Our big rig just fit on site #50. It was a busy corner and we could hear the road noise, no leaves on trees yet. We would return but request a site away from the road. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Camp Verde adds a "privilege tax" on camping on top of a high county and state tax. Take a trip to see Montezuma's Well and Castle. Sedona and Cottonwood are a 30 min drive. Cottonwood had a city tax on all groceries. Visit Tuzigoot National Monument, drive Oak Creek Canyon scenic byway. Jerome has fantastic views, drove the scenic byway to Prescott for craft beer. Flagstaff was chilly and some snow. Highway 17 going north from Sedona to Flagstaff is in need to maintenance.

We have stayed here several times. Great RV Park for adults. Wide rows with spacious RV sites, very level gravel which they groomed after each check out. Many trees, a fantastic dog park with a small agility course. Our dog just loved the long run and playing with other dogs. It's next to a small nature area for walks in the woods along a babbling creek. Camp hosts are wonderful, they go out of their way to make sure you're having a good time. All the staff are friendly. Saturday mornings they have coffee and donuts, there's a tip jar to help with the cost. They periodically have Pot Lucks. They have camp fires at night in the group area. There are many seasonal RV's who are also very friendly. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Moscato's Italian restaurant in town was delicious. White table cloth, excellent service, reminiscent of Italian restaurants in Chicago or New York. Sedona is close and Flagstaff is an hour away.

We stayed for a month (rate + electric). Very well maintained. Clean restrooms, showers and laundry area. Campground has many trees so if you have satellite be sure to ask for a satellite friendly site. Gravel sites. Saturday mornings have coffee & pastries. We were there around Thanksgiving and held a pot luck for anyone who wanted to attend. Decorated campground for the holidays. No fires allowed at sites but have a community fire pit. They supply the wood, chairs & blankets in case you get cool. Have walking trails nearby and a small dog park. Convenient to town. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Zane Grey RV Resort is a great park at a great fee centrally located in Camp Verde, Arizona. The staff is amazingly cheerful and helpful and they've created a very warm atmosphere in the park. The park is 55 and over so it's quiet (which we like) but, if you are on the rowdy side, Zane Grey will not work for you. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean and the gravel sites are raked and blown regularly. You will get gravel inside your coach, however. There is a dog run, and excellent stream with hikes, and the office even rents videos for $1.00 a night. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
