We were here for a week and really enjoyed it. There were lots of activities like cards, bocce ball, an all park pot luck and entertainment. Staff and residents (both seasonal and overnighters) were friendly, there is a well maintained laundry room with good equipment and sites are large. Our Verizon MiFi and Dish TV both worked well. AT&T phone coverage was iffy at times, but worked well if we went outside. We stayed here as part of our Thousand Trails pass and will definitely stay here on future visits to Show Low. - Bobbi1948
May 2019 - $45.00
Primary complaint is the cable TV service provided. It is OLD technology analog signal without any digital advantages such as a guide or any High Definition programs. Just like going back 20 years, might as well have been Black and white. No pull through's available. - 28 PhaetonDriver
Jul 2018 - $30.00
The rec. hall was very nice, but the kitchen has been closed permanently. Thus no food services or pot lucks. If planning a club outing, choose a different park. All events require buying tickets in advance. Event may be changed without notification, so a concert may become a dance. - 28 PhaetonDriver

This is the 4th year I've stayed here. It is well wooded for shade at almost every site. Full hookups, back in and drive thru available, great owners who also manage the place. Very helpful for local activities. BYO drink happy hour every afternoon, really about an hour. Very pet friendly, walking distance to Sitgreaves Nat. Forest, 20 minutes to ShowLow for shopping. No pool and communications can be "iffy" but a wonderful spot for overnite or a couple of weeks. - Sourdough Kate
Oct 2016 - $15.00
A great park. If your looking for a place that is rustic this is the place for you. But if you're looking for a pool, hot tub, or a rec room, then not. Sites have shade and a lot of people that have been coming back for years. Owners will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. If you want to view the stars at night and hear the elk in the fall then this is the park for you. - full -timer-007

Rate is monthly divided by 30 days.
This is the 2nd year at park last year we were here for 2 months this year 1 month. Park is rustic with BLM land near by for ATV. Site was level 50 amp FHU. Owners are great people and the regulars they get in here every year have became friends. Park feels like home. - User3655

This is a very small park that could stand some tlc. The building were definitely in need of some paint. The sites are all back-in but long enough for our 28' travel trailer and tow vehicle plus. Although the telephone pole in front of the space made it a little challenging getting into. The site was fairly level front to back, but we did have some difficulty getting level side to side and had to use blocks under the wheels. We did have a picnic table in our spot, but it was very weathered and the bench on one side was completely broken. We didn't use the bathrooms or showers or go into the office other than check in. We were able to get cell service on Sprint and some data occasionally on AT&T. There is absolutely no TV service so you have to have satellite to get any reception at all. If you have dogs, you do want to stay on the roads when walking them as there are a lot of little stickers in the "grass" areas. The people there were all very friendly and we would definitely stay there again. - O_CBarber
May 2017 - $1.00
First the highlights: In my 13 years of full time travel this may well be the quietest park I've ever been in. Excellent views. That being said it was also very poorly maintained. Restrooms sinks badly chipped and room in need of paint. Office area hung with blue tarps from water damage. Handrails old and rotting away. Wooden site posts and tables rotting and/or badly in need of paint. If your not self-contained a poor choice. Sites are level but are gravel and dirt that becomes very muddy with minimal rain. Internet sometimes available in office area from 9AM to 1PM. Only time I tried to use it staff hadn't arrived by 9:30AM. - Shikepoke
Sep 2016 - $15.00
Muddy, grassy, very old facilities, strange rules i.e. WiFi in clubhouse but only from 9am to 1pm & for 1 hour only. Camp managers are nice just don't have a facility that is good. Would not recommend to families, large groups, younger people. Stayed here looking for real estate in the area. Would never stay again. I - Pastor Jay

New owners. Do not accept Passport America. Didn't know that until after we were set up and the spouse went to pay. Interior roads are asphalt and sites very small gravel that sticks to shoes and is carried inside the RV. Wi-Fi is free and worked. Nothing on the TV antenna. All back-in sites. Did like that no wood burning fire pits were allowed. We were in site #5. Near the highway so was some road noise. The water and sewer connections were on the wrong side. Had to run them under the trailer. Sewer was up hill and the connection was in at an angle. Somewhat easy in and out with our 60' combo. - Tallboy
Jun 2015 - $15.00
We spent a month here. Many people spend the whole season here. The sites are very large. Our site (#4) was near the road, but the traffic noise did not bother us. The rate listed is for the site only. We had to pay a deposit of $75 for electric. At the end of our stay we got part of that back.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are many activities offered.
There are small grocery stores in the area, but we ended up driving to Show Low often (approx. 40 minutes). - sunnyaz
Oct 2014 - $20.00
Rate is Passport America. Wi-Fi is available by extra fee, $15.00 a week for one computer. This is a nice park but some sites would be hard to get into due to the trees. Satellite may also be difficult. This is mainly a monthly park with long term seasonals. There is a dollar store right across the street. 30 miles from main shopping area. Beautiful park and would stay again. - goofy50

Aug 2019 - $35.00
This is our 14th consecutive year camping at Fool Hollow. The park continues to be superb but the management is slipping. Sites are cleaned promptly between visitors but surrounding areas around and between sites are no longer maintained as they once were. "Back to nature" is the current excuse for long grass, tangled weeds and a neglected lake front. The electrical system is showing its age with worn and loose connections and low voltages during peak summer usage times. There are several rangers supporting the park but my personal observation is that you will most often find them all huddled in the front gate BS'ing rather than managing the facilities and enforcing the rules, UNLESS it's a pet rule created by one of the rangers. We are considering alternative options in the Show Low area as this park is not what it used to be. - OldSoldier
Jul 2019 - $33.00
Beautiful state park campground with wonderful views of the lake. ATT service was good. Nice staff. Easy to maneuver. The sites are gorgeous. We will go back again. - Pattersons
Jun 2019 - $35.00
Very nice state park. We had site number 2 in the redhead loop. The pad was cement and perfectly level. The hookups were conveniently located and the water pressure was great. There are several double sites in this loop, and I would only reserve those if you were with a friend. You are very close to your neighbor in those spots. We got quite a few ota channels and we're able to get a pretty good connection both on sprint and AT&T. The lake is beautiful and surprisingly, not to crowded. We will definitely come back here again. - O_CBarber

Sep 2017 - $35.00
This is really a full time snowbird community with a few spots here and there for transients. The locals were all pretty nice to me, but a few of them were fighting with one another! The sites are extremely cramped (seemed to be the source of the fight...) and some of them would present real challenges backing in. Because of the parking orientation, after parking at the office to pay, I had to drive all the way through the park, do a U-turn out on the highway (not easy) and then come back in to loop in the opposite direction. They could have mentioned this when I made the reservation. You park your vehicle on the side of your rig, and the vehicle from next door will be really close to your rig.
There is a nice, reasonably priced golf course about a mile away, but nothing else worth visiting in the area. Its several miles to shopping. No o/a tv or cable, but the Verizon signal is strong and the wifi quite good: probably the best thing about this park. The customer service was friendly by inept. The Passport America discount is only available in the winter, when I imagine it is quite cold in Snowflake. I won't return to this place, as there's really nothing interesting about the town and the park is just too crowded. - KAP99
Jul 2017 - $40.00
This place is horrible too close to other campers. Full-time campers have their nose in everybody's business. Park management logo is if you don't like it you can leave and special privileges to his favorite people. Rules only apply to unfavored people. Park is really trashy with overgrown trees - Wetmtn309
Jul 2015 - $37.00
Great Park! Staff is very friendly, escorted us to our site, and even helped guide us in. There are quite a few full timers in Park Models which are beginning to show some wear, but the owners are very friendly and quick to point out things to see and do. Would definitely stay again. - HR650

This is an old park with mostly permanent park models and old rvs. The pull through site only works if you do not want to connect to water and sewer and can get by with 30 amp service. There are only two rest room/showers but each is a full bathroom. The facilities are about 40 years old and need upgrading. We will look elsewhere. If we need to stay in the area again. - Windshift
Apr 2017 - $35.00
The staff here is outstanding at this RV park is outstanding and the park is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back. Very pet friendly. Awesome clubhouse. Clean restrooms. Laundry facility was nice and clean. The entire experience from reservation to departure was stellar! Highly recommended! - rvgirl1969

We stay here for overnight or so when passing through. Staff is great. Park is clean and well kept and well wooded. Mostly long term. For overnight ask for Site B - it is about 50' pullthru. Very tight and packed in however. - AZSwede

Nice shaded site. Very friendly, helpful staff. Laundry facilities great. Would definitely stay again. Only gripe is the wifi which is only accessible at hotspots near office. It really needs upgraded to reach throughout park. - Herbet

Aug 2019 - $47.00
Excellent WiFi, no OTA TV & no cable, clean, but limited restrooms/showers. Would've been a wonder stay were it not for this: Camp host INSISTS on assisting in parking your rig. We are experts and have our own process. He claimed to be watching out for all obstacles, but was clearly only interested in park property (power pole on wrong side, sewer drain beside picnic table on patio side!) Again, INSISTED that we pull our 34' Airstream around for a pull-through entry - we could've easily backed in. The camp host paid no attention to our rig pulling around the shower house. As a result, the right-rear end cap of our trailer inadvertently clipped the corner of there shower house! This caused about $3,000 worth of damage to our rig. They did NOT offer to comp. our stay due to the staff's clear incompetence. - EdinPS
Jul 2019 - $49.00
The park is somewhat tight for us. The sights were very close and hook ups were a little out of place. Neighbors sewer was basically in our picnic area. The water and electric were on the incorrect side but not a terrible inconvenience they are close and very easy to make connection. The Camp host/onsite workers were very friendly helpful with getting us into our site as well as helping with the hook ups. The only real complaint we have is the Bath/showers were always in use. We are not sure if there are 2 or more; there were 2 Uni sex doors but were in use the entire time we were there 2 days. So we never did see get a chance to use or see the bathrooms/Showers. - Slkelley
Oct 2018 - $45.00
Only spent one night here. The office staff was very pleasant and provided me a site that allowed me not to unhook my tow. The park is very well maintained. I would stay here again if I had an opportunity in the future. I was escorted to the site and the gentlemen was very careful in placement of the RV. Site - level with help of jacks Dog Park - fenced and pet owners picked up after their pets. Met several neighbors which were all friendly with playful dogs. WiFi - good signal T-mobile - 2 of 4 bars. Electric - no issues Water - no issues Sewer - not used Satellite - no issues. - Peter G

May 2017 - $17.00
Rate reflects monthly rate. The beginning of May was a little windy and cool and the season semi starts mid May and fully starts June 1st. Memorial Day activities included a red white and blue parade through the park ending in a flag ceremony and a country style pot luck in the afternoon. In addition to the parks own private golf course, Silver Creek GC is 3 miles away and there are several in Pinetop and a nice municipal course in Taylor. Large heated pool with water aerobics 5 days a week, exercise classes, bowling group, card players, motorcycle and bicycle rides. Two large grassy dog runs and plans for a larger off leash area at the other side of the park. Our site had a concrete pad which was nice many are just lava rock. Several rentals have full concrete pads and built in awning. Would stay again. - VELOS
