Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The rate of $15 is the nightly average of $350 per month plus electric. We stayed one month to be close to family and Forest Service for off road riding. Older park, very VERY tight sites, most are more appropriate for tents than rv's. WiFi did not reach our 1st site so we moved to the only other place owners would let us stay. So small I had to cut tree branches and move rocks to fit my 25' 5th wheel on the site. Other sites available but they would not let us have one. Owner was busy so handed me a ladder, a hand saw and pruners & told me to cut whatever I needed, & move rocks (boulders) if I needed to. (I did). (I should have given them a bill for my hour + 1/2 labor!) Park sits in a valley so Verizon mobile didn't work. If we had not prepaid and locked into the month we would not have stayed. The laundry machines are in need of replacement. The owners are nice, but nice people do not make a comfortable park. In 25 years of RVing, this was the hardest place we have ever been in for parking the rig on the site. The sites are so tight there isn't even a good walking path unless you walk Out of the park. Even the sites for the "big rigs" were cramped with barely room to open slides. Caution to you if you like to be able to "spread out", set out your awning and chairs and move around your RV. (Our awning would not open all the way. Not enough room) Upon leaving we were given our electric bill, which included a $7.00 "hook up" fee. Really? The electric bill seemed excessively high, since we didn't use our A/C much at all. As you can see, we were not happy campers. We camped at Arizona High Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park is extremely difficult for anything over 28' to maneuver! Has bad slope from entrance to back of property with some kind of lava gravel roads. It was the first time I used 4 wheel drive in a park. Utilities were good but on wrong side of rig. Wi-Fi was strong. My space was level & clean. New owners are very straight faced. Previous reviewer is correct about food, gas, and barking dogs at night. Overpriced in my opinion. Can't recommend even for overnight due to tight squeeze. The park entrance is smack in the middle of hard 90* left hand turn. Try not to surprise the vehicle behind you. Would never stay here again. We camped at Arizona High Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

First the good news...strong Wi-Fi and cell phone reception. 50 amp service on the money. Now the rest..this is a small park with very sharp turns & lots of trees. We watched a 34' fifth wheel spend 45 minutes trying to get into the largest space in the park. But the turns & trees stood their ground & he gave up. Also, from the entrance to the very back the ground must sloop down at least 15' to maybe 18'. This & loose gravel make exiting an adventure. The park is a mile off main Hwy so you would think ''quiet''. Wrong, farm dogs can bark all night and new owners dog can raise a ruckus during the day and he enjoyed chasing our cats when he caught them sleeping in our lawn chairs. Seems to be a lot of work in progress with ditches surrounded by police tape, etc. Lots of junk around the edges including an old Ford in the very back. Be aware that other than soda, milk & sometimes bread you WILL drive 34 miles round trip for anything else including gas ! We can do remote but this pushed the envelope. This is probably why the park never had more than 4 other guest during our stay. Four owners in 7 years has no doubt caused some confusion as to priorities. We had a monthly rate to try this park on a 'TRAIL' basis for the summer but left before that was up. I would check out other options that exist 17 miles in either direction. We camped at Arizona High Country Campground in a Motorhome.
