Nov 2018 - $18.00
A new facility across Hwy 60. 130 W Ash St. Built on a hill so not level but workable. We like the old facility also as you can walk into Old Globe city. We have stayed at both. - Powayegg
Sep 2017 - $16.00
This is really a local trailer park with a few spots for overnights. The local units are tidy, the people nice and the place pretty quiet. The park is co-located with a batting cage, so people visit during the day. No amenities, but its a reasonable place to stay while in Globe. It's right downtown, a few minutes from a Safeway and other businesses. The customer service was great, and its a bargain at the Passport America rate (probably a little high for what is there without the discount. Overnight parking is parallel parking alongside a fence. It was no trouble for me, but might be awkward for very long rigs. A few local o/a tv channels available. Verizon signal is good, and the free wifi is very fast, and easy to get from your rig. Traffic noise is a little distracting during the day, but its surprisingly quiet at night. - KAP99
Apr 2017 - $25.00
We pulled in for one night, and ended up staying a week. It is hardly fancy, just a local RV park, no frills, pleasant management, ideally placed to explore the area around Globe. We could easily stay here because the WiFi was strong and dependable, which really makes a difference when you are on the road for weeks at a time. Most sites have sewer, ours was water and electric only, but there is a dump. Everything worked. Another desert campground, on the sand and gravel. Many long term residents, mainly because of the proximity to the mine. Maybe a half dozen or so 'drop ins.' Easy walking to grocery store and downtown shops. - Max_well

The whole place is paved. Many sites had cones in them over what looked like new concrete areas. You pick your site and then go back to the gas station to pay. The sites are side by side where one unit faces each way. What is odd is there is 1 pedestal for 2 sites that has 1 of each 20a, 30a and 50a receptacles. There was a "concert" that started at 7 PM on Saturday night and the boom boom boom of the music was noise to me. It ended before 10 PM and it was very quiet at night. The site was almost level. - mrracechaser
Sep 2018 - $27.00
Stayed here one nite on way to Apache Junction. Stayed in ClassC pulling car. The entrance is huge. Chevron station that can actually svc my motorhome/car easily. RV lot huge. All pullthrus. They are east/west facing sites but I had a reservation so they blocked the other site. Only 50/30/50/20 for electric-so no problem. Pool was clean and nice as were the bathrooms and showers. Can walk to casino-ate at the Black River Grill. Food was great. I would stay here again. - Ila Rodgers
Oct 2017 - $27.00
Great overnight park, fun casino. Park is all buddy sites but only have 15,30,50 amp per 2 sites. If you take 30, your neighbour must take 15 or 50. Water and sewer good, seperate hook ups. They could use a better cleaning in the bathrooms/showers. The bathrooms could be upgraded! Seems like lots of ongoing maintenance. - RDRV

1. The managers now are Excellent 2. Internet really Bad! 3. Most large RV sites are 30AMP 4. Miners living at park, working in town are very noisy at 5AM Monthly Rate 390.00 with power - RoyRiz
Mar 2011 - $25.00
VERY friendly staff. Most sites are monthly rentals but there are a few on a daily basis. Very nice clubhouse and laundry facility. It was very windy on the day we were to leave. We asked the owner if we could stay and do our laundry and she let us stay at our site to do the laundry. Lots of birds and critters around. Watched the hummingbirds for a couple of hours. Small convince store next to the park which was reasonably priced. Didn't "gouge" tourists. Would stay here again. - Rick Lechner

Feb 2013 - $28.00
OK for an overnight stay. Small campground but does have pull-throughs that are level. Close to Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Friendly staff. They do have a laundry (get the key) and propane on site. Will stay here again, especially if going to Boyce Thompson or the Renaissance fair. - Rick Lechner
Feb 2012 - $28.00
Nothing fancy but an OK place to stay for a day or two. We stayed here while visiting Boyce Thompson. Electricity, dump, and water at sites. No TV or Wi-Fi. Very friendly staff. We would stay here again. Have a good week rate so would stay here if we visited Boyce Thompson for an extended period of time. - Rick Lechner
Feb 2011 - $28.00
We stayed here for a week. Rate of $130 was reasonable. The park is gravel based, sort of like a parking lot, but the surrounding hills are beautiful and there is a lot of nice scenery (including Devil's Canyon & the Tonto National Forest Cave Dwellings) to be seen. Great motorcycle riding in the area. Residents here are mostly long term. We stayed in one of the (4) pull-throughs available. Showers were clean, but are coin-operated, so we didn't use them. Their website says cable is available, but we didn't have it. Manager friendly and this park is motorcycle friendly. Propane is available. We would probably stay here again in the future if space available. - Ms. K

Dry camping at its best. Beautiful and quiet. Generators allowed. Flush toilets. No showers. Two water hydrants in our section with good water but no hose connections allowed, so best to arrive with full fresh tank. Dump Station is a few mIles away but only open two days a week. Great place for rigs with solar panels to keep batteries charged. New pay station at entrance takes credit cards and was real easy to use. No reservations, first-come first-served, but I doubt it ever fills up. - eb145
Feb 2012 - $4.00
The park itself is nice but in the winter many of the sites are closed. Only a small section of the campground is available for camping and people were pretty close. Be careful not to run your generator, even though permissible, as some people will complain. This is the only campground we have ever stayed at where you need to purchase a permit at a store or the ranger station. We arrived after all were closed and checked with the camp host, who could not sell us a permit or take our money. To me this is ridiculous as, with my senior permit, it only cost $4 to camp. We would have wasted twice money in gas to get the permit! I doubt we will camp here again. - Rick Lechner

May 2018 - $10.00
Relieved that the check-in system has been changed. You can now pay at a machine right there in the campground instead of buying passes from the forest service HQ. Credit card only at the machine, very convenient. Have stayed here before in a different loop and chose Coati loop for smaller rigs and it was lovely. Lots of birds and very quiet, as it's a mile or two from the highway. Dry camping USFS campground with no hookups. The dump station is located up the road and is open only on certain days of the week. Paved roads and sites, good Verizon. - mockturtle
Apr 2017 - $8.00
This is a beautiful upper Sonoran Desert lakeside campground. We stayed in the Coati section, which is for RVs under 30 feet and tent campers. There are several other sections for larger RVs. Each site had a covered picnic table and a fire pit. Handicap sites are also available. Coati had several bathrooms with flush toilets. The bathrooms near the camp host had four showers and a handicap accessible shower. There is a playground for children. There were paths throughout Coati for scenic hiking. There are not any hook-ups at the sites, but there were water spigots to fill up containers at several places throughout the campground. Trash cans are available in the bathrooms. Windy Hill does offer two dump station on certain days. A Tonto National Forest pass is required to camp. The daily pass is $8. There are two places locally to purchase these near the campground: Spring Creek Store and the Tonto Basin Ranger District. Maximum stay is 14 days. Cell reception varied within the campground, at times we were limited to 3G and other times we topped out at 2 bars of LTE on Verizon. - SerendipRV
Oct 2015 - $3.00
Stayed both here and at Cholla. Cholla is prettier and the sites better maintained but both are great values. Good 4G Verizon in both. Sites well spaced and the campground was quiet even on the weekend. Plenty of showers and they were very clean and well designed. - mockturtle

Jul 2019 - $56.00
Full hook-up portion of this park opened new in January 2019. Great views and access to the lake. New trees planted so no shade. Take that into account in hot weather. All gravel back-in sites, very level. An expensive overnight, but quiet. - W Davidson
