My husband I travel a lot and this was one of the nicest we have visited. Good size site, great amenities and close to everything you need. The best asset are the people. Residents are very friendly and welcoming. Campground is well kept and sites are well groomed. Easy to enter park and easy to leave. - Lcarpen52
Oct 2018 - $30.00
Nice level pull throughs with clean gravel pads. The only downside was the office closes at 4pm and even though you can book and pay in advance online, the place is big enough you really need someone to lead you through. It was convienently located and the people were very nice, but this is mainly a permanent community with a small section for RVers. - Lee and Trace
Apr 2018 - $25.00
Our GPS couldn't find the exact address and the entrance sign is unobtrusive so we miss the entrance and had to drive around the block.Once in the park, the registration area is large and able to accommodate several rigs. We were welcomed by a friendly host and the check-in process was efficient. We were escorted to our level sand 50 amp pull-through site near the back of this huge 55+ park. Basically no shade anywhere. Paved roads throughout. Two pools, pickle ball courts and a grassy dog park. Extensive list of dog rules. Overall a nice clean quiet park. Our rate reflects a Passport America discount. - Our Rolling Home

First time at this park and it won't be the last. It's a small park. We only stayed for 1 night - Site #1. A pull-thru that was enough space for our 37' motorhome and Jeep which we were able to keep connected. A quiet park, with asphalt site, level and very friendly campers all around. The office staff was very helpful and made check-in a breeze. Heated swimming pool. Clean bathrooms and showers. We will definitely come back to this park and plan to stay longer next time. Stayed with Thousand Trails/Trail Collection. - Kentgirl
Dec 2017 - $20.00
Very friendly park. Christmas dinner in the rec hall was wonderfull. We only stayed a week but many spend the winter in the park. They have a nice 'game' area with shuffleboard, horse shoes, and more. It is close to Casa Grande, but not too close. Very quiet with no car, truck, or airplane noise. Pool is very clean. Staff very helpful. Laundry facilities were superb and reasonably priced. - Dave and Linda
Dec 2017 - $46.00
Very good RV Resort. Staff are all helpful. Mostly permanent or long stays with only a few pull thru short stays. The only wifi is in their club house with just a little spill over to the park, so if you want Internet bring your own connection. Small but adequate dog fenced in area. Locals mostly walk around park and clean up when necessary. We have stayed here twice and will again as many things are close, Phoenix, Tucson, Gila Bend etc. - EugeneLou

Very nice park with very nice staff, helpful and thoughtful. She gave us suggestions for the afternoon of activities, and then brought us the remote gate opener since we would be out for the afternoon. Park has park models as well as overnighters. It is gated and has trees and foliage to drown the highway noise (not bad at all) Sites are level, well maintained. - LnL
May 2019 - $25.00
Our price per night reflects our 7 day stay with discount membership. The lots were clean and nice. Staff friendly and helpful. My only 2 noticeable observations were that the in park dog parks were very, very tiny and throughout the parks were NO DOG poop signs. I get it but when he has to go, I don't see the problem if I pick it up right away. There's a place outside the park to take your dog, but being hot weather, we'd rather not meet any of the local critters. Lots of doves, rabbits and lizards to meet though. We picked this area because it was almost equal distance to Phoenix and Tucson, so we spent most of our time looking about the other towns. Our GPS took us to the wrong side of the freeway, so be aware. The park is located on the same side as the Iron Skillet, the Petrol and Quality Inn. - TheLeroys

This is our second time to stay in Silverado. Our first visit was in winter 2015-16. The park management has changed but the park is well run by friendly folks that want to be of service. This park is close enough to town for grocery runs but far enough away from traffic. The park is small, about 300 sites. Gravel with concrete pads. Good water pressure. Utilities are on back of lot so have 30' of sewer hose, water hose and electrical plug cord. The heated pool is nice as is the hot tub. Both are kept clean. Pool area has nice outdoor furniture. Nice pickle ball courts with friendly players. If I were to winter again in the Case Grande area, this is where I'd stay. An escort guides you to your site and checks back with you after you are set up. They will even assist with backing if you want. I do want to point out that I-10 is nearby and some road noise can be heard. There is a train but it is non intrusive. Note that there is no feed lot smell like the parks in Case Grande proper. - Gurleymon
Feb 2018 - $13.00
This is NOT a resort. The facilities are fine but nowhere near resort quality. In addition, the sites are on fine gravel which is constantly tracked in. It is a dusty dirty environment-comparable to living in a catbox! The real downfall is customer service. Management is disorganized, lacking knowledge and very poor at communication. To start with, the male mgr accused my husband of ruining the water hook up and told us we should not be using a pressure regulator. Since when? Actually we learned that the water lines for the entire park need to be replaced. Once the park filled up, the showers were not properly maintained and became filthy. Although cable and wi-fi are advertised as amenities, they are not included. The only people who were welcoming were the pickleball players. This is a very amateur run place, with mgmt and activities director who like to feel important. I would not return, nor recommend if you are looking for a well run resort. If you are looking for rv storage with full hook up, it is fine. - Lsfx
Jan 2018 - $35.00
We have just finished our 4th winter season at this park. The park has all the basic necessities, including a small laundry. All sites are pea gravel with small oddly placed concrete patio. No picnic tables provided. Water, power, and sewer are at back of site so you may need extensions. You pay for WiFi and it's pretty lousy. Used my phone's data and its hotspot. New managers this year and they need to either be replaced or go through extensive training. Frequently accusing us of all manner of transgressions (which none of us present did); closing office early with no notice, allowing some to park in empty sites while telling others they had to move their vehicle immediately. The office hours are odd for an RV park - office closes before many travelers are ready to get off the road. There's an emergency number posted in door but no after hours instructions. Many times saw RVs pull in then out - probably for this reason. Many times heard "Park is full" while sites next to us and across from us were empty. We will return next year - BUT if management doesn't change we will probably look elsewhere before the winter season is over. - allzright

What a find! We had no idea this park was here, but couldn't have been more pleased. Our original plans called for 1 night, but we had some slide-out issues and had to stay a second night for repairs. The staff were super helpful and very accommodating. There is open desert for the dogs to play behind the park as well as an 'official' fenced area. We will happily return with this new-found stopover for our travels west. - ziaptrn
May 2019 - $32.00
Check-in was a bit strange as the park office was only open from 10 am to 3 pm. We looked at their park map board which said three sites were open (the park was basically empty) so we set up in a pull-through that was listed. This is basically a gravel parking lot with hook-ups. The hook-ups are a bit strange as water was at the back and opposite side for a 5th wheel...same with power. There was sewer access on both sides of the site. There is a small pool and hot tub. Ice is available on site but nothing else. There was a nice laundry room. The "official" dog area is at the very end of the park and simply a gate to the open desert. This park is actually located in Arizona City. There is not much in Arizona City. One must drive into Casa Grande for most shopping needs (about 15 minutes). - Alpenlite35RK
Mar 2019 - $25.00
Slight disappointment on arrival as we'd reserved a pull-thru and got stuck in a back-in spot that was water logged and heavily rutted. Managed to get parked only to be alerted to an RV on fire about a dozen or so rigs down. We all stood around anxiously waiting for the fire department to show up as the flames shot high into the air. Fortunately, the only thing that exploded were the tires. A bit too much excitement for Day One. On Day Two I learned about the hot tub and that was a welcome respite from our travels. I managed a soak every evening and was alone for every night but one since this park gets real quiet after 8:00 pm. We noted this park has lots of activities and is full of friendly people. Our site didn't have a concrete pad or anything but gravel. It was okay but we probably won't ever stay there again. - SueJean

Stopped for just a night (had escaped the cold farther north) - nice place making changes - looked good despite the "zero-scaping" but that's to be expected in the southwest - had a nice chat with the owner - best of luck to them. - D Ward

Gravel sites good size easy to maneuver. No cable, WiFi not available at site. Had to go near the office for connection. - averybound

The park has new owners and they are very nice and very accommodating. We have stayed before and will do so again. It is a typical SW gravel with trees and cactus around the sites. There is a very good restaurant on site for dinners. highly recommend it for a good meal. The services are good an the access around the park is good. - JDR

Nov 2016 - $32.00
We stayed for 1 week at this park. The pull through for big rigs were very nice and long. There are a few trees in the park bur mostly gravel with concrete patios. Utilities were tricky, in order to have your water and sewer within reach and not have your rear slide hit the electric pedestal; but with a little moving back and forth we got it done. There are no tables at the sites and you must pay for showers. The laundry was nice and clean as were the showers. We had a pleasant Thanksgiving Dinner at the recreation hall. The staff was friendly and helpful. I marked the park down a little on value due to the lack of tables and the extra cost for showers. The sites were spacious though with plenty of room to park your towed in front of your RV or to the side. Many units did not even have to unhook their towed trailers. - suzwoodard
Jan 2016 - $1.00
There are good & bad things about this park. The bad is they have fees they don't tell you about until you arrive. Electricity is through the electric company, & if you have never had power in AZ,don't have it elsewhere, you will have to pay $250 deposit to hook up the first time. After that, its $25 if you return the following year. Name tags are mandatory to buy. They charge a "utility" fee for water/sewer/cable. $50 month, & if staying 5 months, $264 up front. The cable doesn't work in alot of sites. You can't pay it monthly. Very limited on where you walk your dogs. This place is monthly only. No daily or weekly rates. It caters to park model owners. T It's VERY dusty in there & needs new gravel Water gets cut off alot from lines breaking. Internet is through Aire Beam, & doesn't work half the time. Verizon doesn't work well within the park.Good points? Tons of activities. Beautiful heated pool, & hot tub. The place is kept clean. Water arobics is via a tape you listen to, that is the same over & over. They do have a mini golf that is fun, & exercise room, with broken equipment. - happy2013camper

This park is our winter quarters for the past 8 years. Gated 55+ park. Beautiful big heated pool, heated spa, pickleball, shuffle board, paved streets and SO much more. Wouldn't go any place else. We bought our site, but there are a several that are for rent along with park models. There are also quilters, billiards, water aerobics, fitness center, library, a multitude of card games, cafe, church services with an amazing Pastor. An activities director that is the best there is. A very friendly community. - PatnKlod
Mar 2014 - $35.00
Nice older 55+ park that the management is trying to renovate. Pickle ball courts are nice and well used. The park is installing new shuffleboard courts which we will use on the next trip. Front gate staff woman was not friendly and told only the bad stuff about management. Apparently she didn't like management and was venting at everyone. There is a lot of small town politics going on that spreads over to short time visitors. We were there during the Park's Party which was food and games. The Golf Cart Races and game activity were fun. We assumed that we were not included in the party until a resident from Virginia drew us in and made us part of the fun. We will return during the Park's Party next year. - moosewatcher
Apr 2012 - $13.00
This is a fairly new park, and everything looks new and clean. It appears to be more of a winter snowbird park, but had several sites for transients, and we paid the PA rate. Came in after hours, but the friendly and helpful staff came right out to check us in and lead us to our site, which was a back-in, but very large. The near WiFi was being worked on, so we used the system at the clubhouse. The WiFi worked great, and the clubhouse was large and tastefully decorated. We would definitely stay there again. - Full Timers since 2002

Beautiful desert setting with a variety of plant life with a back drop of impressive mountain peaks. We camped at Picacho Peak State Park in a Motorhome. There is a shortage of water so arrive with full tank although wash rooms were open. Wash room facilities were extraordinarily clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again but longer next time. - CFXCH
Nov 2019 - $30.00
This campground is located at the base of Picacho Peak, and on the west side of I-10. There are three loops of spacious sites, all with electric, along a one way paved lane. There is a combination of pull through, and back-in sites. The back-in sites are very wide, and more level in comparison to the narrow sloped pull through sites. An unfortunate aspect of this State Park campground is a current lack of ground water, or so they state. Thus there is no available drinking water except inside the restrooms. The normal expectation is for an RV traveler to fill-up their fresh water tank, at a fresh water source, but those are currently shut-off. Thus there is no available water for an RV, and to our surprise there is no water faucet at the site. Despite the unavailability of drinking water the State Park is still charging full price for an overnight stay. Thus I consider this situation a lack in value for the price. Overall though, a good place for an over night stop along the I-10 corridor. Traffic can be heard, and the passing trains could be heard, but not sufficient to interrupt sleep. Skies are dark at night, and the views are awesome. We stayed here in a 5th Wheel, and will likely return. - James Barr
Mar 2019 - $30.00
If you've ever driven up I-10 from Tucson to Phoenix, you've probably noticed Picacho Peak. The state park has a very nice campground. It's just a few miles off the highway, which you can see in the distance, but there's no noise. Sites are level, roomy, and well spaced. We stopped here for one night after touring Saguaro National Park. We could almost have skipped the national park because are lots of Saguaro cacti here. We had several right next to our site. The facility is well-maintained, everything is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only odd thing is that there is no water at the hook-up sites, so make sure your tank is full. We only spent one night here, so we didn't explore the park much. It has several hiking trails and the site of the Battle of Picacho Pass, said to be the most significant Civil War battle in the west. We would stay here again, with more time to explore. - Thriller
