Our price per night reflects our 7 day stay with discount membership. The lots were clean and nice. Staff friendly and helpful. My only 2 noticeable observations were that the in park dog parks were very, very tiny and throughout the parks were NO DOG poop signs. I get it but when he has to go, I don't see the problem if I pick it up right away. There's a place outside the park to take your dog, but being hot weather, we'd rather not meet any of the local critters. Lots of doves, rabbits and lizards to meet though. We picked this area because it was almost equal distance to Phoenix and Tucson, so we spent most of our time looking about the other towns. Our GPS took us to the wrong side of the freeway, so be aware. The park is located on the same side as the Iron Skillet, the Petrol and Quality Inn. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Some of the nicest people you will meet. Mostly snowbirds, with a few spaces for those passing thru. Someone will lead you to your site. They put us close to restrooms and showers for our convenience. The park was close to interstate, but was so quiet and peaceful. In the morning, the birds were chirping and you would have thought you were a million miles away from an interstate. Wish we could have stayed more than one night! We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We are traveling back to Canada and stopped for one day in this Passport America park and are staying for 7 while we wait for warmer weather north. That's how nice it is. The staff are beyond helpful and nice. Huge pull thru sites which are extremely tidy. Convenient to the pool. Superb wifi!!! which is free for over-nighters and $14.95/week if you decide to stay. Dog parks are small but convenient or you can go out the park gate and have open desert with paths. The cement pad is properly placed and the right height so it won't jam your stairs. The rest of the site is carefully raked pea gravel. There is some distant highway sound but really negligible once you close the window at night. This is a 55+ park and it is pleasant to walk around and see the gardens of those who are long term. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Nice park with majority of long term residents but a small area for overnighters. The staff is excellent and even offered to stay open late if we would arrive after their normal hours. Has a pool and hot tub but as it was in the 20's we did not go there. Nice "dog park" next to the park where you can run your pets as far as they want. Close to I-10 but without the traffic noise. There are train tracks nearby that can be heard. All in all we liked the park and will use it again when in the area. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, nicely landscaped, well maintained RV park. Lots of trees, shrubs and cactus. Sites were immaculate. One of the friendliest campgrounds we have been in. Had pull through and didn't disconnect so was a bit tight turning through roads with the 40 ft. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This was not on our itinerary, but the place we wanted was full, so we found Las Colinas. I don't like staying at places I haven't read reviews on, but this worked out very well.

Friendly check in and escort to site. Very long, level, cement site. Some shade to be had. There's some huge cacti on some sites. Hookups worked well. The park was quiet and relaxing. Would stay again. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The $25 rate reflected the PA rate. Pull thru site with full hookups. No cable TV. Free Wi-fi. Gravel sites with a concrete patio. No picnic table or fire pit. Although some sites did have a picnic table The sites were somewhat close together so the patio area was a little tight. There is a pool and spa that make for a relaxing afternoon. Far enough off the freeway so there was only a little highway and some train noise. Good stopover between Tucson and Phoenix. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I spent a week there in early October. Having spent most of my professional working career commuting to Phoenix every week, one would have thought that I would have been more aware of the "snowbird phenomena", but we arrived un-announced and with no reservation. When we realized that all the Mesa parks closed their office at 4pm, and that overnight at Walmart was a no-no, I thought we were in a world of hurt.

After getting nothing but after hours recordings everywhere else, I tried Los Colinas, and got a real person who said they had a spot. He was just getting ready to close the gate as we pulled up, and got us checked in and guided to our site.

This is a 55+ park for full timers, but they did not ask if we had any kids. I didn't see any kids during our stay, so I can't say what would have happened if we had had our grandchildren with us. I read a previous review that indicated that the sites were narrow and turns were tight. That they were, but overall they were narrow because of the concrete patios. There actually was plenty of room between sites. I found the sites to be extremely well groomed and level.

As far as service, the manager and office staff were great. They seemed genuinely glad to have us there. If there was a downside, I would say for transient campers, particularly during winter season, there is a very limited number of spaces, so if you are planning to stay here, make sure you call ahead and make reservations. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Well kept park, but it is more of a trailer park than an RV park. Older park with tight turns and narrow sites. The service was very good, our 50 amp breaker blew so we had to change sites after we where completely set-up after a long drive was not good but they where so nice we just stayed cool(Roger is great). We will look for another park if in the area. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Great park outside of Casa Grande. Mostly snowbirds, who were very friendly, got invited to several happy hours. Adequate gravel sites, not much shade, but it's the desert! Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Las Colinas RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Would have rated the park higher if not for the severe dip in front of the office. Rate reflects Passport America discount. IMO, the rate is too high for PA, it would the normal rate is $50 and it is not. Office manager was very nice, gave me directions to many services in town. Site was a pull through located close to the bathhouse. Strong Verizon 4G signal so did not use campground Wifi. I don't think we would stay here again, not worth the price.
