On a scale of 1 to 10 for quality of the facilities, I'd give this park a 9 or 10. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the park has some of the prettiest desert landscaping that I've ever seen. The showers and restrooms are in the office/clubhouse and somewhat oddly placed. As you enter the building there is a small lounge area to your left, the office itself to the right and a community kitchen directly in front of you. Go to the right to access one bathroom and the "library" or to the left to access the other bathroom and the laundry. Bathrooms are uni-sex, but private with each one having its own toilet, sink and shower. Hint: the bathroom by the "library" is larger and has the better shower. Restrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The park also has a pool and hot tub which we didn't use. They looked very nice, but the hot tub is only heated from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and the pool is unheated. Now, as for the friendliness of the residents I would have to give this park only a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. When we arrived, the man who checked us in seemed a little put out that we were disturbing him on a Sunday, even though we had reservations, because they "don't normally have the office open on a Sunday." Although we saw many residents when we were walking around the park, no one seemed very friendly and it was usually my husband or I who said "hi" first. I got the impression this park is primarily set up for long term seasonal residents and so those of us just passing through aren't particularly welcome. I must say however that the neighbor behind us and the one to one side were friendly enough. A final note: We picked this park for its proximity to Boyce Thompson Arboretum and had no idea Florence is also known as "Prison City" for its close proximity to half a dozen prisons, which gives the area a kind of depressing, creepy vibe in our opinion. Your experience may be different of course. - BruceandKathyWA
Jan 2018 - $18.00
The rate is based on monthly charge plus electric. We stayed here for two months, November through December and generally enjoyed the area. The roads as well as the parking spaces are gravel which causes some dust when folks don't obey the speed limit. Each site has a concrete pad with a picnic table. We paid $400 a month and $.17kWh for power which we thought was a tad high. The park's workampers do an amazing job keeping everything clean and tidy. Very quiet park with minimum lighting so one can enjoy the stars at night. The park's WiFi was fair the first three weeks of November and then it really started slowing down as more folks arrived. That is understandable considering the number of folks here that stream TV and video. One gentleman (there were several more) was heard saying that he watches all of his TV and downloads movies using the park's WiFi. That slows everyone down. He also said that he pays for the WiFi (in his space rent) so he is going to use it. Hmmm....OK. We were able to get a DTV satellite from site 52 and the Verizon 4G signal was very strong on our phones and the MiFi. One of the things we found to be troubling is the cost of electrical service. For the month of November we paid $130 but since it was hot most days, we ran the air conditioner a lot. But then for December, we paid the same $130 and we didn't run the AC nearly as much. On top of that, we were gone for a week. No stores in the immediate area so you must go to Florence or Coolidge for shopping. Coolidge has a Wally Mart and a Safeway. - StarlifterFE
Mar 2017 - $38.00
It is a very nice, clean and friendly RV park. There are some pull through sites but most are back in. The negative is that the some of the roads are tight for a 39 foot RV. We got in fine but we had to be careful. There are some sites that are much easier to get in and out of. There are great places to walk the dog. The park is quiet and everything is really well kept. We did not use the wifi. The sites are all level. The trees had just been trimmed but you can see where they can be a problem in some sites for bigger rigs. We stayed for one night but most people are there for the winter. Florence is a small town with basic amenities, but we were not there long enough to explore the area. If you have a larger rig, make sure they know that when you make the reservation. - Ludmilla

Beautiful, desert park. Big lots with saguaro cactus everywhere. Love the facilities, pool, hot tub, activity center, stained glass shop, wood shop and much more. People are extremely nice here. I know we are going to love it here! - Kbrez
Feb 2016 - $21.00
This RV Park is located in the Sonoran Desert. We enjoy the Arizona desert. We are full-timers who have traveled throughout the U.S., so have some experience with RV parks. Before going full-time, we lived in the country, so we had to drive at least 15 miles in some direction to get to shopping or church. That said, this park is similar, in that the town of Florence is 7 miles to the North, Coolidge (Super Walmart) is 14 miles West, and Casa Grande is about a 25 minute drive away, and Casa Grande has most anything most RVers would ever need. Lots here are available for lease, and after being here 4 days, we purchased a lease. Nice pool and hot tub, exercise facility, and laundry. Many friendly residents, some in park models, and the remainder in RVs, all kinds of activities available in the park and many things to do and see in the area. Tucson or Phoenix are an hour plus drive. No trains, no planes, no Interstate highway noise. Verizon cell tower visible from the park. Outside vendor for high-speed Internet available by day, week or month. Work-Kampers keep the park looking great. Large sites, Our only downside was the heavy rock drives which are noisy when someone drives by. Black skies at night with a sky full of stars, breath-taking sunsets. - waywardwind
Jan 2016 - $35.00
We have stayed at this park on four occasions beginning in 2009 until recent. We first really enjoyed the park as there was only a few full-time owners and most people coming in were like us. Our maximum stay was 2009-2010 when we stayed for five months. Today one month is all that I can stand. The owners will try to sell you a lot and if you do not seem interested, they have very little interest with maintaining a kindly relationship. The lot owners are a group to themselves and if you are simply renting for a month or two they have no interest in you. We feel like outsiders even though we know many of the owners. They do not have cable and you must pay for Wi-Fi, but it is poor service and difficult to maintain a connection. We doubt that we will come back again. - pillar57

This was a great park close to Casa Grande ruins. We only stayed one night so we didn't get to appreciate all the amenities. It is mostly for full timers or those who spend the season here. They have nice gravel area in the back for travelers with all those sites being pull throughs. They have lovely concrete pads right at your doorstep. We used the laundry and were pleased. $1.25 wash, $1.00 dry. Gate locks at 6 pm so take that gate code with you! WiFi was available but we didn't use it. - webbsafari
Dec 2016 - $30.00
We registered for a month and escorted to a far northwest corner space. Behind us was a out of park residence with several dogs that were not cleaned up after. The aroma was very offensive and we could not get away from it. We talked to office and left after a three night stay.
Pros: Nice park, friendly staff
Cons: 45 minutes to an hour to Mesa / Phoenix/ Apachee Junction. Feeder lots in area with strong odors depending on wind directions. - Ak-wanderer

Great for overnight, managers was helpful as I arrived after hours.. I've stayed here before, gravel parking with concrete pads. Washroom has been upgraded. Walmart and Safeway close. - Tonyl

This is mostly filled with people spending the winter or who live in it year-round. Most of the people were very friendly, we only met one who was rather nasty. There are a lot of activities going on as well as shuffleboard court, pool room, library, pool and a large clubhouse. The laundry could use some cleaning. The sites were of average size. - IngaMari

We were pleasantly surprised by this park. The park is well kept, neat and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. There are mobile homes but they are nice and well kept as well. We would definitely stay here again. - Pamey

This park is out of town about 3 miles, lots of fields and very little noise. I stayed in site #30 which is close to the office. I absolutely loved it, very friendly people staying there and very friendly people running the park. I would definitely recommend staying here. The sites are gravel with concrete streets, very large sites with plenty of room... not like a lot of parks where you are almost parked on top of each other. They have many activities, card games, bingo, potluck dinners, bag toss, pickle ball and a beautiful saltwater pool. - babs42255

This park is our winter quarters for the past 8 years. Gated 55+ park. Beautiful big heated pool, heated spa, pickleball, shuffle board, paved streets and SO much more. Wouldn't go any place else. We bought our site, but there are a several that are for rent along with park models. There are also quilters, billiards, water aerobics, fitness center, library, a multitude of card games, cafe, church services with an amazing Pastor. An activities director that is the best there is. A very friendly community. - PatnKlod
Mar 2014 - $35.00
Nice older 55+ park that the management is trying to renovate. Pickle ball courts are nice and well used. The park is installing new shuffleboard courts which we will use on the next trip. Front gate staff woman was not friendly and told only the bad stuff about management. Apparently she didn't like management and was venting at everyone. There is a lot of small town politics going on that spreads over to short time visitors. We were there during the Park's Party which was food and games. The Golf Cart Races and game activity were fun. We assumed that we were not included in the party until a resident from Virginia drew us in and made us part of the fun. We will return during the Park's Party next year. - moosewatcher
Apr 2012 - $13.00
This is a fairly new park, and everything looks new and clean. It appears to be more of a winter snowbird park, but had several sites for transients, and we paid the PA rate. Came in after hours, but the friendly and helpful staff came right out to check us in and lead us to our site, which was a back-in, but very large. The near WiFi was being worked on, so we used the system at the clubhouse. The WiFi worked great, and the clubhouse was large and tastefully decorated. We would definitely stay there again. - Full Timers since 2002

This was a beautiful park with lots of great facilities (pool, whirlpool, sauna and big library with sofas and big screen tv) and lots of activities (rock shop). The people were the friendliest we have ever encountered. Desert hiking trails are accessible from the park. There are animals to watch and the weather is near-perfect. - CharDu
Oct 2012 - $20.00
This is a large park with mostly park Models. It’s nice if that is what you’re looking for—I’m not sure why it is called an RV resort. We stayed under the Passport America rate for three nights and it was advertised as having Wi-Fi and cable, but these amenities are only for long-term and monthly residents. I would not stay here again. - Tim M.
Dec 2010 - $20.00
This place is no longer an RV Resort. It is an exceptional, well maintained and appealing, Park Model Resort. Sites available to overnighters or those seeking a week stay have become fewer in number. We were originally placed in a site without power and had to relocate. Not an easy task to accomplish with a Motorhome and a tow. We ended up with a partial shaded, spacious back-in site. The site though was not level and this caused some leveling problems and holding tank dumping problems. We were staying in a residential area and it would be difficult to do otherwise here. Felt has if we were intruding and as strangers each day. The surrounding residents kept a close eye on us. The Park Model folks have little or nothing in common with RVers. The resort has raised the overnight fee and dropped the cable TV access for RVers. For the Passport America discount they now charge an extra $3.00 per day. There was just one pull-through site available. The others are clearly taken up by long term residents. Still we like the place and the local area. They have one of the best clubhouses and libraries we have seen. The outdoor pool and hot spas are open during the winter and well maintained. The bottom line is that we will likely not be returning because of the increase in the overnight rate and the manner of charging us extra for electric. - James Barr

Did one night visit. Large flat camp with a nice patio. Water pressure was good. Pool and grounds are nice. There is no Cable TV as they advertise but the antenna brought in over 80 channels. Highway noise was minimal. - Gtwood65

This was a clean and friendly RV Park just off the Interstate. The facilities were top notch. There were desert hiking trails accessible from the park. Numerous attractions were a short drive from the park. - Snowbird60

Agree with the past poster. This park is a atv park. There are rules but nobody goes by them. The people in the office are not the type of people that should be in the office. Had problems with our next door neighbor dog, [not on leash] told office and nothing was done about it for the month we were there. Been coming here for 7 years and this place has gone downhill. Don't know if we will be coming back. Would be a great park if they took out the office people and put people in there that care. Also no stop signs or speed limit signs. - Ronnadone

It's hard to rate this place. All hookups worked fine, the Wifi was great, the sites were level, there was a restaurant on site. However . . . We never saw anyone from the farm around. We made all arrangements on line. The farm is a large amusement park that also hosts venues, like weddings and family reunions. The area was dusty dirt surface. The door on the ladies room was broken the entire 8 days we were there. The laundry had one washer and one dryer (that didn't need quarters and did not shut off) and was filthy with junk laying all over the place. The door hung open all the time. It is initially difficult to find your way to the camp area (use Riggs Rd off Rittenhouse) but was fine once you got the layout of the land. There is broken and discarded equipment and household and farm stuff all around the very large farm. I get the feeling that Grandpa (or Great Grandpa) started the farm but his descendants don't want to work the land. It's been turned over into a large park where folks could come to entertain themselves. The office is open from 8 to 2 weekdays and they do answer the phone. It was just weird to be there 8 days and not see anyone from the campground. There are old Air Streams parked in an area that someone was working on. It looks like the farm plans to rent out the nostalgic campers. There was no picnic table or fire ring. - Melodycthomas
Jan 2016 - $35.00
Arrived New Years Eve, extremely loud teenage dance in the amphitheater located right next to the campground. Kids loitering right outside the RV's till 1:00AM. Very nerve wracking night! Whoever designed this campground obviously never used or owned an RV. Hookups are situated such that 4 RV's could be attached to the utilities at one spot, but in reality 2 RV's would have to run cables & hoses under their units because hookups would be on the wrong side. Main electric breaker for the campground popped a few times one night. WiFi present, service weak & often drops off. Laundry room is a joke. Very dirty, one washer that goes out of balance often, one dryer that runs without quarters & never turns off once started. Restrooms are slightly better than okay. I had to repair the shower knob in one of the stalls to be able to use it. No gravel, just sandy dirt. We had a rainstorm which turned it into a mud bog with huge puddles, no, more like ponds! Access to campground is either through a maze of a parking lot, through a barnyard, or through a field. Schnepf Farm Park attractions are run down, lots of junk & debris lying about. Weekly rate is $200. We highly DO NOT recommend this place! - Rolling Regal
Jan 2013 - $35.00
One of the worst parks we have stayed at. This is somewhat of a farm area that has old RV sites. The washrooms are filthy, not heated, and old, and when we finally found someone to talk to and asked if washrooms were attended to he said no. For the first 3 weeks, no one had ever set foot in the bathrooms. This is a self check in, and the only effort they put into the RV park is checking for money 2-3 times a day. There are many activities at the farm area which are very expensive, and not too many friendly people. This is nothing more then a parking lot that is not cared for, and all for $35 night. Would not recommend at all. There are nicer parks in the area. - allsgood

This is a very nice 55+ RV/park model community. While it's a large community during the winter months, it's relatively quiet here this time of year. The park has pickle ball, loads of activities, pools (3), tennis, golf course (free this time of year!) and plenty of places to walk and ride your bike. All paved roads, gravel sites with concrete pad and lots of space for your RV and two rigs. Lots of maintenance folks around doing maintenance work. Staffed entrance gates, front office that's open during the week (closed on the weekends this time of year) and friendly staff! A mailroom that's wonderful. Library, crafts, and golf carts going everywhere. This is really one of the best parks we've EVER stayed in. Close to I-10 though you don't hear the road noise (although that likely depends on your site.) You do pay 12.5 per kilowatt for electricity. All sites are back in, but the Rangers on duty assist you and are excellent at helping you get in just right. If you're here for an overnight or two, you don't get to park in the nice sites - they'll direct you to an asphalt lots (FHU's), though in this heat, you can bet your AC will run nonstop. If you're going to come here, stay for awhile longer and enjoy all the amenities this RV Resort has to offer. It's really lovely. The ONE bad thing we've notice is the amount of pigeons and doves especially around the main pool and walking areas. Bird poo EVERYwhere. Maintenance does help by spraying the walks clean and doing what they can. - ErinandCorbin
Mar 2018 - $54.00
This is the top notch golf resort to stay at. It is in between Tucson and Phoenix. Short drive to both. They have Golf homes and RVs. We felt right at home as our neighbors came to visit while setting up and during our 8 day stay. The laundry facilities are awesome. The grounds were well manicured. Our pets enjoyed the dog parks located throughout. Only problem we had was the WiFi was located in the office and the laundry. You would need to purchase your own if you plan to work while there. Enjoyed it being "over 55". It was nice not having to deal with kids. Look forward to going back. - Wanda Page

For 1 or 2 night they put you in overflow parking, like camping in a parking lot at shopping center. Not happy but we stayed because everything else was outstanding. Outstanding customer service. Outstanding facilities. Outstanding security. Outstanding amenities and activities. Super clean, quiet. They did not miss a trick at this park. I consider this place to be one of the best. You will not be disappointed. Great place to stay. Plan on more than two nights to take it all in. - Chilly A Willy
