The rec. hall was very nice, but the kitchen has been closed permanently. Thus no food services or pot lucks. If planning a club outing, choose a different park. All events require buying tickets in advance. Event may be changed without notification, so a concert may become a dance. - 28 PhaetonDriver

Older but nice enough. Good sized sites , friendly staff, small gym, quiet yet close to town. We would stay again if in the area. - hdrider

All the sites are at different levels thru out the park, sites are different lengths, some sites have double sites (side by side) for camping with friends. We all loved this place, very quiet and sites were far apart. Town of Show Low was about 3 miles away and have everything there. We will be booking for next year. Their website show pictures of the individual camp sites with length of pad, be sure you get one long enough for your rig because the you cannot park your vehicle on any dirt. I was 12" over and they made me move my truck. - Earl Balentine
Jul 2018 - $35.00
Beware! campsite lengths. Even though many of the sites state the length they will accommodate you may not be able to actually get into the spot. We had Redhead 05 (we own a 36 ft fifth wheel) which is 75ft. No problem right? Well, you have to take into the consideration the angle was too straight, the street too narrow and two trees at the very front seriously constricting your movement not to mention the 5 ft drop off on the other side of the road and the fact the main road curves to the right (right side spot) just past the site then you have a recipe for disaster. We tried to maneuver into this spot for about an hour and finally gave up. We have RV'd for many years and yes I know how to backup and park a rig. This is the first time we have had this issue. At the very least there should be a disclaimer in the description stating may not be suitable for larger RVs. The park is great and we have stayed here before but the state really needs to get their act together. - Steve & Terri

We stay here for overnight or so when passing through. Staff is great. Park is clean and well kept and well wooded. Mostly long term. For overnight ask for Site B - it is about 50' pullthru. Very tight and packed in however. - AZSwede
Jun 2017 - $38.00
Nice shaded site. Very friendly, helpful staff. Laundry facilities great. Would definitely stay again. Only gripe is the wifi which is only accessible at hotspots near office. It really needs upgraded to reach throughout park. - Herbet
Apr 2016 - $36.00
Heavily wooded property with sites tightly tucked amongst the trees. Mostly long-term people with a few sites up front for dailies. - ldukeb

Elks members or their guest only.. Small park sites are not very level. Has water, power & sewer.. No wifi or cable.. Lodge is walking distance from the rv park.. Lots of trees.. Park on gravel. No tables .. Fire rings not allowed in Show Low.. Dog friendly.. - Yepwearedoingit
Jun 2016 - $20.00
If you stay here, only pay one night at a time. Even when we had to evacuate due to a forest fire they would not refund our $140 for the remaining 7 days.
The sites are very unlevel and the only way to get level almost all of the sites require you to have your wheels off the ground. Lots of trees so satellite service made us have to hook up 40 ft of sewer hose.
After talking with a trustee he finally agreed to give me credit on my next stay rather than give a refund. Better than nothing, I guess. - yumsbpa

This is a 55+ park. Our site was next to the office, very near the road. So there was some road noise. This is a mobile home park, with many permanent residents, but was clean and shady, and everyone was very friendly. There didn't seem to be any internet, which would have been a plus. The park manager went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He hosted a spaghetti dinner in the community room while we were there, and there were other weekly events posted. We stayed there in a 45' motorhome, and would definitely stay there again, even with the road noise. - Gogirl
Jun 2017 - $30.00
I'd stay here again just because the seasonal residents are so friendly. We were invited to a community dinner before we even knew if we had a site. Sites were tight, but very well shaded and a welcome respite from the heat of the lower elevations. - CCandtheLADY
Dec 2016 - $35.00
I was referred here by the manager of Mountain Shadows RV and I must say that this park is amazing, I look forward to revisiting in the summer when I can really enjoy the mountain landscape. The manager of this park is very helpful and has a lot of knowledge of activities and things to do when you are in the area its a great park. - Maxwell Banner

May 2018 - $25.00
We had a great site (#2) in this campground. It was huge and the space was very level. We had no problem levelling our 5th wheel. The campground is basically for seasonal campers, but the ones we met were friendly and welcoming. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to be of help. It's true that the roads are a bit narrow and while this was no problem for us in our 32' fifth wheel, it could be problematic for large motor homes. Construction workers were very quiet and road traffic wasn't noticeable at night. We paid the Passport America rate and would stay here again for a short visit. If we were to spend a month or more, we would choose another RV park in the area that has activities such as swimming, bocce ball, shuffleboard, etc. - Bobbi1948
Sep 2017 - $31.00
This is a fairly new park primarily designed for seasonal visitors and/or permanent cabins. Despite its newness it is one of the least hospitable parks for large RVs. The streets are quite narrow with very sharp corners that make it difficult to maneuver. Several sites are not level and the many trees make getting satellite TV questionable. The park does offer included wireless that is fairly reliable. Park hosts were very friendly and helpful. We could not level our coach on the first assigned site and they moved us to one that was levellable. - bobnsandi
Jun 2017 - $25.00
This is a park being developed for the sale and long term rental of sites. True, it does provide full hook-ups for a reasonable Passport America price, but there are absolutely no amenities such as community rest room, showers or picnic table. Further, our site, 14, backed onto the back of a big box store, so there were bright security lights and garbage trucks very noisily emptied dumpsters early in the morning. Location is decent within a few miles of Walmart and downtown, but there are better options available for the price. - Jane & Art

This is the 4th year I've stayed here. It is well wooded for shade at almost every site. Full hookups, back in and drive thru available, great owners who also manage the place. Very helpful for local activities. BYO drink happy hour every afternoon, really about an hour. Very pet friendly, walking distance to Sitgreaves Nat. Forest, 20 minutes to ShowLow for shopping. No pool and communications can be "iffy" but a wonderful spot for overnite or a couple of weeks. - Sourdough Kate
Oct 2016 - $15.00
A great park. If your looking for a place that is rustic this is the place for you. But if you're looking for a pool, hot tub, or a rec room, then not. Sites have shade and a lot of people that have been coming back for years. Owners will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. If you want to view the stars at night and hear the elk in the fall then this is the park for you. - full -timer-007

This is the 2nd year at park last year we were here for 2 months this year 1 month. Park is rustic with BLM land near by for ATV. Site was level 50 amp FHU. Owners are great people and the regulars they get in here every year have became friends. Park feels like home. - User3655

May 2017 - $17.00
Rate reflects monthly rate. The beginning of May was a little windy and cool and the season semi starts mid May and fully starts June 1st. Memorial Day activities included a red white and blue parade through the park ending in a flag ceremony and a country style pot luck in the afternoon. In addition to the parks own private golf course, Silver Creek GC is 3 miles away and there are several in Pinetop and a nice municipal course in Taylor. Large heated pool with water aerobics 5 days a week, exercise classes, bowling group, card players, motorcycle and bicycle rides. Two large grassy dog runs and plans for a larger off leash area at the other side of the park. Our site had a concrete pad which was nice many are just lava rock. Several rentals have full concrete pads and built in awning. Would stay again. - VELOS

Jun 2014 - $32.00
Juniper Ridge is located in the white mountains about 10 miles from Show Low. Sitting at 6100 ft, it is a cool place to be in the summer. The majority of the sites are park models. The site we stayed in has a small cement patio with the remainder covered in red lava rock. Hook ups are 30/50 amp. Our AT&T service did not work here and Wi-Fi cost is $5.95/day or $15.95/wk. There are many activities and amenities for those staying in the park. Beautiful green grass park like settings and water features are scattered throughout the resort. The only negative regarding our stay here has been the wind, but we understand that won't last much longer. We would stay here again. - Gypsy Life

Feb 2018 - $18.00
The campground is owned by the City of Show Low and is run by a concessionaire. It has both no hookup spots and electric spots. I was there during February in a no hook up site and paid $18 a night which is the lowest rate. Rates are higher for pull thru and electric. Since it is owned by the city, there are no US Govt card discounts or any other discounts and the rates are the same all year. Show Low is snow country in the winter and so what is special is this campground is open all year. It is right across from the Lake and has good cell service. Providers are Verizon and Cellular One which may roam for ATT, depending on the ATT plan. It is very busy in the summer and spots are close but it is dead in the winter. All water facilities are shut off in the winter so that leaves one pit toilet, no tap water and no dump station and there is no reduction in fees. I was in the main campground by the office. The other areas were closed for the season. My travel trailer is 25 ft and it would fit in most if not all of the sites in my area. There are trees making it tricky to get solar for the whole day. The big pluses are the winter season, close to the lake and right in the Town of Show Low. The negatives are the cost for so little facilities in the winter and not really a backwoods experience. - AZ Camper
Oct 2011 - $15.00
Nice campground that's similar to a forest service campground. 8 electric sites. Sites were not level but we had no problems leveling out. We were in site # 31 with electric. We were able to get our dome satellite in and we had a decent cell and air card signal. A fire ring with a grate and a pedestal BBQ along with a nice picnic table is provided. Campground is open year round taking reservations during their high season. We arrived mid Oct. and the sites were first come. Discounts are given with the Golden Age Pass that you can purchase at a Rangers Station. We paid $15.00 because we used our pass otherwise an electric site is $26 a night. Dump station available and potable water is available near the restrooms. Play ground is fenced in and next to the campground office/store. Lake is across the road with a boat dock but people were using it to fish off of. Stores are close by with lots of restaurants to choose from. - jannie5
May 2011 - $30.00
We've been coming here once or twice every year for 6 years. It is still as nice as ever in terms of facilities, service, and atmosphere. They have instituted a reservation policy so beware. If you don't have a reservation you might have to jump sites in the middle of a stay. We were here early in the year, and the CG was not crowded, but some other campers had to move in the middle of their stay. - OldSoldier

Dry camping only. Nice quiet park in the tall pines. Dump was not included in park fee and cost $6.00. Restaurant in walking distance. Satellite TV reception in some sites. Verizon Wireless worked good. Tables and fire rings at most sites. This is a US Forest Service campground. Ranger station across the street. Close to Show Low with Walmart, Walgreens and other shopping available - Our Cow
