Advertised as a resort, a small pool and older clubhouse don't constitute a resort, it just a decent overnight park that is not very convenient to the freeway, nothing to attract you to visit this park except a clean overnight choice - Bruce and Janette
Jan 2019 - $40.00
A mix of back in and pull through sites. Gravel roads and sites. Fairly level and clean. Per local ordinances you must have a sewer hose holder. Had cable at site but didn't use it. They offer wifi at the site for a cost which I didn't use but do have free wifi in the clubhouse which is open 8:30am to 9PM. Clubhouse also has a pool table older books you can check out and older DVD's that you can also use. Does have a heated pool and jacuzzi which is hot. Pool closes at 9pm as well. Not much in walking distance that would be of interest. Staff is friendly and they will lead you to your site. - ATV Guy

We enjoyed our time in Benson at Valley Vista. While it wasn't anything to write home about the basic points were checked and we would return if ever in the area again. Clean facilities and pool, decent spaced sites, quiet (save the occasional train) and friendly staff. - Few Miles

Nov 2019 - $20.00
This is a megapark with a population of 4,000 at the peak of the snowbird season. There are no trees or vegetation in the transient section, but the site is functional. The park has 3 pools (2 outdoor and 1 covered), 2 hot tubs, 14 pickleball courts, and everything else one could imagine. - Todd Fogelberg
Oct 2019 - $20.00
This was our fourth stay at Voyager since we started full-timing. This time we stayed 8 nights, and had a job to do - we moved our storage unit contents to Tucson so we could work on getting rid of our stuff when we come back for the winter! The park was fairly empty, the "season" hasn't yet started. The gals in the office were great, and found an easy pull-through for us. It worked out well and even had room for us to park the moving truck in our site, along with our 45' fifth wheel AND our Freightliner. We ate at the bar & grill almost every day, and while we didn't use any of the other facilities it looked like everything was available while we were there. We're looking forward to returning in January! - Denise and Glenn
Apr 2019 - $33.00
Ok for an overnight at Passport rates with the fairgrounds closed. Although it kinda gripes me to pay a 'resort' fee for facilities and services I won't use. Although they are extensive (!). Hopefully on a longer stay they'd compensate for being set up on a monster asphalt parking lot with close site spacing. Although I understand there are some sites mixed in with the park models. - fulltimer121

I spent a week here and enjoyed it. Nice space with plenty of room. Good washes in which to walk the dog. Interesting town close. Close enough to drive into Tuscan. Friendly people. Clean. Nice place. - MWM
Dec 2018 - $45.00
We have stayed here a couple times and we like it because it’s far enough off the interstate and from the rail line. The only complaint we had is the leveling of our coach. This time which wasn’t good last times, was the wi-fi was pretty good. We have never experienced unfriendly staff at anytime. All the neighbors were courteous and friendly. It’s definitely one of our favorite winter spots. - jsctour13
Oct 2018 - $43.00
Congrats on being the most obnoxious and rude park manager we have encountered in 8 years of being full timers. I stayed ay your park for a month a couple of years back and enjoyed it. However this overnight stop was the worst. Our site was fairly level and we had the only site in a long row which no other sites were occupied. Lucky us we had the one lone sight with a dead tree and no shade. We will never be back. - illini777

Just an overnight stop. Site was set up such that we almost had rear wheels off the ground. Had to put boards underneath tire. Should not be so out of level in the desert! - PugetSound
Feb 2019 - $35.00
This is a good campground - excellent for an overnight stay. The parking area is level and gravel. The sites were long enough for our 40 ft with tow. The 50 amp full-hookups were in full working order. The host led us to our site. Hookups convenient for access. They had no trees so were satellite friendly. We are retired and travel around country year round. Most times, we just need a safe pull-thru site for the night with full hookups, satellite access for direct tv, and close to the interstate or highway. This campground met all these requirements and was very close to I-10. There is also a Dennys across the street. - don-marg
Feb 2019 - $25.00
We are staying here a week to check out the area. This park is clean and has large, wide pull thru sites. Got a weekly rate of $170. There are some full timers here but their sites are kept up and clean. Not sure why the bad reviews but wanted to share that we had a good experience and would stay again if in the area. - paphil

This is a very well taken care of park with friendly service. Sites have plenty of room and are mostly level. Our only problem was that the railroad track crossing is only a couple of blocks from the park and the trains run 24 hours a day. Each time the train neared the crossing, the whistle blew. At night, that did wake us up. They do have a nice dog park and grocery shopping is very close. - storms
Oct 2019 - $34.00
Very clean and nicely appointed. Safeway is within walking distance. Observatory only open on even days. I would have given a ten, but can be noisy at times from surrounding area. We were lucky with our satellite connection. - Barkley of Risa
Jun 2019 - $40.00
Very nice RV park all things worked just great. Free ice. Staff friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was fine although was told in the winter(snow bird) season it is so slow almost not useable - hotpepperkid99

This is an older KOA, and it shows. The place is very clean and quiet though. The sites are pretty short, and some rigs bigger than ours had trouble staying in their site. The interior roads are tight but doable for a big rig, just watch your real wheels. The biggest issue was the electrical system. It was cold when we were here, lows in the low 30s, and lots of rigs were obviously using their heat pumps of electrical heaters. Our EMS took us off line a number of times due to brownout conditions. If it did this with heaters, I would assume an issue could also occur with air conditioning in the summer. - UTTransplant
Oct 2018 - $40.00
Very old park with small space, and trees that will block many slides and awnings in some spaces. Slightly tight to drive through. Last quarter mile into park is heavily rutted road, but not an issue if you drive slowly enough. The two owners were charming, friendly and helpful. The park has seen better days and is probably a little more expensive than other similar parks in Benson, but it has one great attribute in its location. It is north of the freeway, and thus is probably the quietest park in the area. A few cable channels are included in the price. Wifi was extremely slow when people pulled in for the night, worked ok when no one else was there. Verizon worked ok. A dirt path leads to the golf course (about a quarter of a mile), which was nice. - KAP99
Sep 2017 - $43.00
On the last leg of a long trip, we decided to have a short drive day and relax a bit. As such we made a reservation for what had been a nice little KOA. This KOA is about one mile north of the freeway, then one quarter mile on one of the roughest section of road I have been on. After navigating the ruts and potholes we arrived at a rather bleak (gravel, weeds, trees struggling to grow) RV park. On check in the owner was quite concerned that we arrived early (11 am) and would have to charge us an additional $2.00 for electricity. A minimal amount, though when already paying $43 to park in a dirt lot in an empty park (one van was parked in a site and appeared abandoned) he was making no effort to make us a repeat customer. The sites are level, utilities work appropriately and there is adequate space between sites. They do have a fenced dog area which was not (in my opinion) sturdy enough for our large dogs. Instead we used their designated dog walk area. While walking the dogs there in the late evening (dark), a car came down what I thought was an abandoned dirt road in the walk area requiring a quick scramble into the shrubs. Thankfully the driver spotted us and made good use of his brakes. So much for our relaxing stay. We had stayed here some years ago, unfortunately they seem to have few customers and appear to be slowly falling into disrepair. The one bright point is that it is located far enough away from both the interstate and the railroad (very active track) so the noise is minimal. - Dogs and Cats

Oct 2019 - $17.00
Great value at the PA discount -its not as low as advertised on the PA page, as they add in several fees, but still a great rate for full hookups. The place is clean and if you are in the front row, you look out at a pretty section of desert. Otherwise, no frills campground. Laundry costs a dollar! The old guy who runs the place is very helpful and quite a character. Biggest negative is the freeway traffic noise. - KAP99
Feb 2019 - $23.00
Very noisy right on the highway. Could smell fumes. Also a train came through intermittently. I did not use restrooms or showers. We only stayed to use hookups due to cold weather. WiFi was OK, a bit slow but at least we had it. Laundry a buck. People not really friendly. And the guy who runs it a bit weird. There area seems depressed, low income area. Nothing much in the town. I have no idea what draws people here, looking forward to leaving! Absolutely nothing to make me want to come here again. - alalot

A flash in history. the manager as close to my own grandpa as he can get. The place is very clean and taken care of. Some full timers but all very pleasant. Most RVs are accepted with the only exception if your RV is a fire hazard then please get it fixed. all is welcome with smiling eyes and hands. Great vacation place. - Thomas Jenkins

Feb 2019 - $29.00
Stayed here because our usual 2 Benson campgrounds were full. What a wonderful find! Is near I-10 but no noise heard. Given a double site, site behind us was not rented so we could have a pull-thru. Large sites, wonderful setting. Good Wifi, cable TV with lots of channels. Staff very pleasant; community hall had free foods and drinks (donations accepted). Great patio with grills for RVers use. Close to stores but secluded. - Mainiac
Jun 2017 - $30.00
This is a nice enough park, but significantly over priced. $6 extra for electric. Overnight for a dirt site that is very unlevel, would be nearly $60 without a discount. It is close to the interstate and the train tracks. I won't use it again. Good tv and wifi. - RCH

This is an Escapees park so it is friendly, very clean, tastefully decorated, full of activities, the sites are huge, level, the streets are wide and the hook-ups are easy to use. Just an all-round excellent park. Walk around and see all the ways that people have landscaped their sites. We've been here before and will be here again. - swike
Apr 2019 - $10.00
Perfect place to stay. Huge sites, friendly people, quiet starry nights. The wifi worked good for us but not all the time. Good cell reception. Other than it lacking a pool, this place has it all. Do yourself a favor and stay for a spell. You will not regret it. - Ghettomedic
Mar 2019 - $10.00
Our rate was a special 50% off the weekly rate for first timers, but don’t stay here for the low cost stay for the ambiance, the friendliness of residents and the size of the sites. This was the biggest, most beautiful space we have ever had the luck to camp in, it was a leased site where the owner puts the site in the rental pot. If you like Benson you cannot fail to like this campground. Only negative to some campers might be the lack of swimming pool and the slow internet, but that will not stop us returning next year, the whole campsite was stunning. There might be some restrictions on children if you are not a member, check with the office before arriving. - Joyce G
