Park is several miles outside Page on the Utah/Arizona line which means two different time zones during daylight savings months. Digital clocks couldn't decide what time it was. Lake Powell is very low so it is a long way down to the water. Park itself is fine. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Powell has lots of water activities. Page is a relatively new town; established with the building of the dam in the 50s-60s. Not much to do besides eat there. Very good barbeque restaurant on main street.

Very nice park, and we wished we had booked for more than just 1 night. Our pad was concrete, level, with full hook ups conveniently located and as the camping loops are tiered, we had a great view of the lake, even though it was quite low during our stay. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are toilet facilities on each loop, but showers and the laundry are at the registration area, and there is a charge for showers. As this is a National Recreation Area, there is an entrance fee for those who do not have a NP pass. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is my second stop at this campground. It is a well maintained campground. This trip was with 2 fellow travelers. When I made the reservation 4 months prior to the trip I told the reservation clerk that the 3 rigs were traveling together and would like to be immediately adjacent to each other. When we arrived at 3 PM to check in they had one of us in Loop C with the other 2 in Loop D. They were able to put us all in loop D; however we were not close together. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We didn't know it until we arrived, but this is a National Campground! So so nice. The sites are tiered up a hill, so everyone can get a beautiful view of the lake and landscape. Level site with full hookups, although there is also a dump station if you dry camp. Nice spacing between sites. Clean and quiet. Camp store there. Paved bike and walking trails. Lovely area. Near to Page, AZ, for restaurants and shopping. We were there with 26' travel trailer. Highly recommend! We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nowhere did the park signage call this park "Wahweap RV and Campground" The sign said Lake Powell Campground. The week we stayed the bag worms were AWFUL! They were on everything-grill, picnic table, concrete, dirt, rocks, our MH, Jeep, kayaks. We'd sweep them away. knock them off and they'd come right back. Made sitting outside miserable. Not the fault of the park. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Park does not accept reservations for specific spaces, and yet with less than 50% occupancy insists on placing campers right next to each other. Pull through sites are very small, and crowded. The bathrooms are not clean, the showers are only at the main office building which is some distance from many sites, and for the price charged this is not worth it. We will not be back. Stayed for two nights, Loop A site 1, pull through. Great view of lake although site 2 or 3 would be better. No other view of campers on lower part of loops. Pull thru's are basically like pulling off the side of the road in a sort of semi circular site, which had a picnic table and fire ring. There are paved walking trails throughout. Some of the pull thru sites in the upper loops would also have good views of the lake as they are placed on a hillside so that you are looking at the lake from the side windows of your camper, and then of course great views from your picnic table. Some back in sites are better than others depending on if your back window faces the lake. Can't wait to return next year. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large campground with several loops. We camped in loop D which was newer than the others. The design is efficient and worked well. Sites have a shared middle island where hookups are located. We had no issues with the RV next to us but it could be an issue if you get a noisy neighbor. The other side was spacious and had a gravel/dirt area between sites. The restroom was clean, didn't use the showers but bring quarters if you need them. Laundry was a bargain, $1 wash and $.50 dryer. Access is excellent, and loop D is pull through with a few back in sites along the edge. All sites were concrete and appeared to be level. Sites are long enough for the RV and Tow. This time of year is considered off season so the park was never more than half full. The store was only open 8-4 however Page is less than a 15 minute drive and has Walmart and Safeway. Wifi was adequate and complimentary! We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Powell boat tour was pricey but the only way to visit Rainbow Arch unless you have your own boat or hike the 20 mile trail. Antelope Canyon X tour was exceptional. Our tour guide was the best one we have found. Antelope Canyon Upper and Lower tours looked like lines at Disney.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 nights because we had 2 boat tours on Lake Powell from their marina and one was for 7:30am so we figured even though the rate with tax was $54 per night, it was worth it for the convenience. The sights are paved with modern looking hookups, which are on a shared island with your neighbor. But the pull through site was about 40 feet long so our vehicles were staggered so that we weren't looking into our neighbor's windows. They had a picnic table on the non hookup side so there was some space to your neighbors on that side. In our D section, some sights have a good view of Lake Powell. The bathrooms were clean but the showers were located at the main office and from our site, it was a 5 minute walk in cold weather. $2 for a 15 minute shower and it didn't look like they had enough for the amount of sites that they have, although when we went at night, there wasn't anybody there. If it wasn't for the boat tours, we probably would have stayed somewhere else that's a little less expensive. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Upper style full hookup campground, very spacious sites. Direct access to Lake Powell by walkway. Lot of clean and good showers available throughout the park. Would definitely come here again, or maybe, try to find a place a bit further directly along Lake Powell on the beach. It seems to be possible. The campground seems to be located within the perimeter of a national park. So there will be a booth with a ranger just after exiting the Hwy from the dam. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Large campground, spacious campsites. Showers only available at main building. Not enough showers for size of campground. Long waits. Paid showers, 2 dollar, which will provide you with warm water for 15 minutes. That is too long and makes waiting times even longer. Staff unfriendly. Location very good for visiting the lake. Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Lake Powell for a week this summer in July. The campground facility was great, although spread out a little. The walk to the lake was a 1/4 mile hike through a parking lot, it was very hot. There are shuttles that drive around the facility, but the schedule is sporadic, sometimes what should be a 15-minute wait becomes a 45-minute wait. But there is a lot to do, and if you know anything about Lake Powell, there is already lots to do. The sites are nice, and really nothing to complain about, and we where happy. But do not expect much as far as shade, or small hometown friendly service. They are a large company, and the people there are just doing their job. Another interesting observation was that people come and go quickly. We had three RVs and three sites. We where the only ones around that stayed every day. Around 9:30 each day hundreds of RV America RV's would pull out, and around 4:30pm another batch would cycle back in. Nice people, but no one stayed for long. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.
