Overall Rating:

This is a large campground with several loops. We camped in loop D which was newer than the others. The design is efficient and worked well. Sites have a shared middle island where hookups are located. We had no issues with the RV next to us but it could be an issue if you get a noisy neighbor. The other side was spacious and had a gravel/dirt area between sites. The restroom was clean, didn't use the showers but bring quarters if you need them. Laundry was a bargain, $1 wash and $.50 dryer. Access is excellent, and loop D is pull through with a few back in sites along the edge. All sites were concrete and appeared to be level. Sites are long enough for the RV and Tow. This time of year is considered off season so the park was never more than half full. The store was only open 8-4 however Page is less than a 15 minute drive and has Walmart and Safeway. Wifi was adequate and complimentary! We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Powell boat tour was pricey but the only way to visit Rainbow Arch unless you have your own boat or hike the 20 mile trail. Antelope Canyon X tour was exceptional. Our tour guide was the best one we have found. Antelope Canyon Upper and Lower tours looked like lines at Disney.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 nights because we had 2 boat tours on Lake Powell from their marina and one was for 7:30am so we figured even though the rate with tax was $54 per night, it was worth it for the convenience. The sights are paved with modern looking hookups, which are on a shared island with your neighbor. But the pull through site was about 40 feet long so our vehicles were staggered so that we weren't looking into our neighbor's windows. They had a picnic table on the non hookup side so there was some space to your neighbors on that side. In our D section, some sights have a good view of Lake Powell. The bathrooms were clean but the showers were located at the main office and from our site, it was a 5 minute walk in cold weather. $2 for a 15 minute shower and it didn't look like they had enough for the amount of sites that they have, although when we went at night, there wasn't anybody there. If it wasn't for the boat tours, we probably would have stayed somewhere else that's a little less expensive. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Upper style full hookup campground, very spacious sites. Direct access to Lake Powell by walkway. Lot of clean and good showers available throughout the park. Would definitely come here again, or maybe, try to find a place a bit further directly along Lake Powell on the beach. It seems to be possible. The campground seems to be located within the perimeter of a national park. So there will be a booth with a ranger just after exiting the Hwy from the dam. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Large campground, spacious campsites. Showers only available at main building. Not enough showers for size of campground. Long waits. Paid showers, 2 dollar, which will provide you with warm water for 15 minutes. That is too long and makes waiting times even longer. Staff unfriendly. Location very good for visiting the lake. Overall Rating:

We stayed at Lake Powell for a week this summer in July. The campground facility was great, although spread out a little. The walk to the lake was a 1/4 mile hike through a parking lot, it was very hot. There are shuttles that drive around the facility, but the schedule is sporadic, sometimes what should be a 15-minute wait becomes a 45-minute wait. But there is a lot to do, and if you know anything about Lake Powell, there is already lots to do. The sites are nice, and really nothing to complain about, and we where happy. But do not expect much as far as shade, or small hometown friendly service. They are a large company, and the people there are just doing their job. Another interesting observation was that people come and go quickly. We had three RVs and three sites. We where the only ones around that stayed every day. Around 9:30 each day hundreds of RV America RV's would pull out, and around 4:30pm another batch would cycle back in. Nice people, but no one stayed for long. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for 5 days in a pull thru site. Our door side had some bushes and a picnic table making it feel relatively spacious but the driver side felt too close to the truck campers assigned to that site. When making the reservation, I requested a pull thru but they said they couldn't guarantee that so I didn't know if we would be assigned a back in or pull thru until we actually checked in. Fortunately there would have been enough room to unhook without being in someone's way. We were so close to the state line that anything that automatically updated time kept switching between MDT (Utah) and MST (Arizona.) The campground seemed more associated with the marina than the resort. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

This was our first time visit to Lake Powell. All of the prior reviews are spot on. This is a great campground with many amenities and lots of things to do in the immediate area. We had FHU site @ D56 and our 45ft bus and 25ft trailer fit in very well with space in the front to park the car.

Not everyone cares about this but be aware of the fact that Verizon and AT&T data services do not work very well at this park. We do have Verizon and AT&T hotspots and it was a challenge.

We did a lot of hiking in the area and we visited the Antelope Canyon slot canyon by kayak. We will return since there is so much else to do here. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Can I please give this campground 100 stars. Here's why: 1. You check in a well organized and well stocked camp office/store. 2. You drive on wide paved roads to your generous campsite. 3. The view from sites is magnificent. 4. The campsites are large and include picnic table, fire ring and grill. 5. The restrooms are new and very clean. 6. You can rent a book, take a charter boat tour, visit the dam, or take a hike. 7. There are so many fish you barely need a hook. The setting is magnificent. This park/campsite is perfect. We can't wait to come back. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Agree with all previous reviews. Will add one or two notes. The lake is low and is not easily accessible to the campground, really have to drive or walk about a mile. When booking an RV site without hookups be sure to ask for an RV site, we accidently got placed in a tent site and had to struggle to back our RV in. The next nite we were able to obtain a full hookup site, which was nice. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

If you want to be near Lake Powell instead of Page, the city, this is the place. So scenic and near the boat tours (which we took). The manager was good enough to find us a long enough site for our 40' and a trailer which had a great view. Side by side parking with the other one going in the opposite direction on the driver's side then some grass and distance from the passenger side site so we got to know the close neighbors. We also had a lot of desert next to us for good dog walking. Nice walking and biking trails as well. Office and shop were extensive and service at the counters was prompt and efficient. Bathroom could have been a tad cleaner. WiFi was good. Book early, they fill up. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a boat tour. The dam tours were closed due to high winds 2 of the 3 days we were here so we never got to go but the dam itself is amazing and the visitor's center is very extensive and educational.

This great campground sits on a slope overlooking the lake. We always try to get a site with a direct view. Morning sunrises are great. The place is very clean. Office and small store is great, if your into boating they have boat ramps near by. They also have many rv spots with more natural landscape with more room between the parking areas but I think they are 30amp. Restrooms are nice.

We did not use the pay for showers. Roads are great but if you come in at night the area has almost no street lights etc. We came in once at night and had to use our spotlight and several turn arounds before we found the checkin office. Not complaining about minimal lighting just be aware. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Very well designed, modern rv park with spacious, landscaped sites. Pads are concrete, roads are paved and well suited to big rigs. Setting is beautiful. Hookups were good, except that the sewer was up on a slight curb, same height as our dump valve. The wifi was completely nonfunctional the evening we arrived, but after that it worked quite well at our site (loop d, 2 sites away from the restroom). We're not talking Netflix-watching speed, but fine for searching tourist sites and making tour reservations. The only available tv is via your own satellite dish. My only complaint was that the staff did not seem very helpful or engaged. There was no evidence that anybody was enforcing rules, which led to a lot of extra trucks and boats parking all over the place. My only other negative comment relates to price. It seemed we were paying a high price considering that many of the amenities were closed for the season. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed 5 nights in the dry camping area. Our first site was impossible to level in so we chose another which was difficult to level but not impossible. We had a fire ring and picnic table with a nice AZ desert ecology around our site. The sites were large. There is a small store if you forgot anything. Stocked with food, wine, t-shirts and other gifts. A nice location central to the sites we wanted to see: the dam, a raft tour down the Colorado River, Navajo Bridge, Lee's Ferry and a boat trip to Rainbow Bridge National Monument. We have camped here before and would definitely camp here again. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Helios (quiet electric) raft trip down the Colorado River with Colorado River Discovery to Lee's Ferry was superb. The boat trip to the Rainbow Bridge NM was also superb. At Navajo Bridge you can actually walk over the Colorado River. Lee's Ferry historical site was fun and informative and you can dip your toes into the river. We also enjoyed visiting the Dam Visitor Center. On a previous trip we had been to Antelope Canyon. WOW.

This is a gem of a campground with views of Lake Powell. Paved roads and concrete RV pads with picnic tables. The roads are easy to navigate. The WiFi was good where we were. Lots of places to walk the dog. Pull through site, although the utilities are at the back of the site so if you want to keep the toad hooked up behind a class A, you need a long reach for power, water, etc. If you want to take a shower outside of your rig, you have to go to the office area and there is a charge. There are restrooms close to the RV sites that are very nice. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy big rig access and all sites appear to be rooftop satellite friendly. Most of the sites are quite large, with plenty of extra parking room. Gorgeous lake views. All utilities worked well. Front office staff friendly. Just an FYI for everyone, the will give a 10% discount for AAA or Access Passes. Not sure about Senior passes though. The laundry is inexpensive... $1 wash and .50 cent dry, but they only have 6 washing machines, and 2 are out of order. Verizon cell, Verizon Mifi and AT&T cell all work fine here. Fill your propane before you get here folks. It is $3.00 plus tax a gallon at the cheapest place in Page. Fuel is a little cheaper here than Utah. Combined tax for shopping is over 13%, so do all your shopping before you get here.
