This is NOT a campground, so if you want to go camping with a fire pit and picnic tables, this is not it. It is mostly permanent or seasonal residents with several spaces for overnight or short term stays. We did not use restroom facilities, but they did have a nice laundry room and a nice pool. We stayed 3 nights to visit some family and did a little sightseeing. Very much in the city and convenient to any supplies you might need. There is an airport nearby and you will hear small planes during morning rush hour. Overall nice, clean place to spend the night with full hookups at a reasonable price. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Convenient location is the main thing working for this park. Adjacent to I-17 close to 101 it’s centrally located but the tight quarters and overall condition make it less appealing. A 55 only park, they’re obsessive about dogs not relieving themselves anywhere except the 3 dog parks (two of which are very small) spaced throughout the park. Our dog is a good citizen but it’s a bit much to ask to trot a block or so without relief before doing her business. Condition of the dog parks is also not good (basically badly maintained litter boxes). Overall spaces are mainly back ins - cramped but ok for a night but not more in our opinion. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a mostly permanent or semi-permanent park. It seems to be a well run, well maintained park. The rules for dogs not going potty anywhere but designated dog "park" areas where a bit strongly stated and overdone. But, understandable since many dog owners don't care where their dogs relieve themselves and don't pick up the poop. All dirt sites, no picnic tables and no real outdoor living space. Back-in sites only. We stayed two nights and moved on. This is a good stopover place to get rest and perhaps a day of relaxing by the pool, and then continuing on. Bathrooms were sparkling clean and now have keypad access. Office personnel were pleasant and very helpful, but the office closes every day at 12:00. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Very clean quiet park. There are a lot of permanent residents in this park. The office closes at noon which is not convenient for folks arriving after noon. They require key for showers and restrooms instead of keypad entry. Key deposit is $20.00. They have Tengo internet, as do many parks. Tengo doesn't seem to work real great. We had no internet access at this park. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 5 months due to a surgery and recovery. Very nice staff in office and terrific neighbors. It was a nice place to spend the winter and is well located for restaurants and shopping. Our rate is based on a monthly rate of $470, the electricity is extra. One nice feature was the availability of a mail box for each site. We could also have packages delivered there. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Happy Valley Shopping area was just a couple of miles north of the park. This included lots of big box stores like Lowes and Walmart plus boutique type stores. There was also an ATI physical therapy center in that area which was very convenient for my knee surgery recovery.

Convenient to I-17 without the traffic noise. Near an airport, but all air traffic noted looked small and/or private and was not a bother.

Staff was very helpful making phone reservation and left an envelope with info directing us to our site. Very sparsely populated this time of the year so navigating the park was somewhat easier than it would have been if all sites were in use.

Temperatures were well over 100 degrees so we really enjoyed the pool and for the most part had the place to ourselves.

All permanent residents we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed for two nights - the first to visit with a friend and the second to stock up on groceries before we continued north. Convenient shopping within minutes of the RV park.

For $18.50/night PPA rate - it was everything we needed - clean, convenient, and a good value. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

A decent park with quick access to shopping and dining. A little tight getting in and out. Park is well maintained with a nice pool, laundry and bathrooms. It was fairly quiet with the occasional freeway noise - worth the tradeoff to be close to city. Lots of long term campers, but a peaceful community and we didn't feel too out of place. We enjoyed our stay and will most likely stay again on our next pass through. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice camp ground. Good hookups. Clean. Two things were the loud airport and they offer free WiFi. We were very close to WiFi antenna but no signal.

Called Tengo internet service tech support and got help, but still could not check email. Do not plan on WiFi. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Appears to be an older park with fairly narrow streets, sharp turns and fairly small lots. I have a 40 foot class A and it took all of the site and only had one foot from my bumper to the street. Level site with gravel. Friendly staff in office. Park internet was worthless. Incredibly slow. My own Verizon internet and phone service had a good signal. Entrance to campground is off a one way frontage street parallel to Hwy 17 and has a very sharp turn for a big rig but doable. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Very, very nice restrooms/showers and one way entrance/exit. Two excellent shuffleboard courts and a nice small pool. And three person hot tub.

Very quiet park with no nuisance barking dogs. I-17 freeway close enough to hear but not too loud. Wifi was very slow till we used our Netgear router and purchased - on tengonet's rep recommendation, a Netgear wifi extender ($28). But, you must call your router/wifi support to walk you thru to connect on Tengonet's network. Once connected this way, wifi is much faster.

This park is very quiet with mostly RVer's and just a few park models. I estimate this location to be about 15 miles NW of North Scottsdale. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Costco five minutes away south on I-17, while Walmart, Best Buy, TJ Max, Staples, Lowes, Pier1, Barnes and Noble, etc., only five minutes north on I-17.

Very large Mayo Hospital/Clinic about 14 minutes away going East on 101 freeway.

Stayed at park for 2 months. Wi-Fi was good. Park is clean. However, the only complaint I had was with the long-term campers at the park. Many were rude with the pet owners, and one fella scare the heck out of us when walking past his mobile home with my dogs. Immediately he complained to management. Have doubts in returning to park for a future visit. Half of the campers were very nice, but the other half very rude and mean. They seem to be unhappy with their lives. I thought RVing was suppose to be fun--not at this place! We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Generous size sites. Most of sites are seasonal people. Pretty empty now as it before the season. Day time temps in the 90-100 range, which is warm. WiFi works the best of anywhere we have been, which is great. Nice office staff. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We would return if in the are again. Tips for other Campers:

In town to see long lost cousins. This park is easy to get in and out of, near the highway but we do not hear much highway noise (there is a large wall). We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Most of sites are seasonal people. It is empty now because it is still 90-100 every day. 3 days of Passport America rate makes it wonderful. Quiet and safe.

The park is very clean & organized. The showers / restrooms were immaculate and very well maintained. All utilities were good but the procedure to access the WiFi is confusing.

Our only challenge was there are only back in RV spaces. The RV spaces are large enough and the gravel is very level. The blacktop asphalt roadways are just wide enough but take it slow and easy driving inside the park.

My wife and I were very impressed with the organized nature of Phx. Metro RV park. Entrance and exit for the park are on a one way northbound Interstate 17 frontage road. Our charge was PA membership based. There is a $20 dollar, refundable deposit on the shower / restroom key. We camped at Phoenix Metro RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Is a park mostly for long term residents but has several rows of spaces for short term. The spaces are wide enough that the tow vehicle can park alongside. Sites are level gravel with paved driveways down each lane. Everything very clean. For Verizon 4G users OpenSignal app shows 12 down / 8 up which is very good. Laundry is great.
