Defective post wiring burned out my roof air. Paid the monthly rate. Wife had a medical emergency and was hospitalized, had to leave a week early. They recalculated the monthly rate to a daily rate so I owed $200 more! Our RV space was 130. Looks like it had not been maintained in years. Horrible experience, we will never return! We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've stayed in this park a couple times before, and this time was for 10 days. We found they had expanded the park to over 500 spaces. Most info on the park states it 258 spaces. The new area is also in Ponderosa Pine as the original park was with lots of big trees and open space. All sites are irregularly spaced with plenty of room between rigs. They have full hook-ups to all sites including TV if using their device to connect. Both 30 and 50 amp service is available in the same free standing pedestal, with a couple 20 amp receptacles also available. Roads are "gravel" and sites all have a nice concrete pad for the rig to set against. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again if in the area. The only problem I saw in the the new area was the installation of their sewer connections. They are sticking up out of the ground 12 to 18 inches and this makes the dumping process difficult as a lot of rigs' outlets are not that high. This park is several miles out of Pinetop, AZ, located on Fort Apache Tribal lands (Ref digital mapping system). We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a large Hon-Dah resort and casino next door to the park with a nice restaurant. There are some incentives to help reduce the cost of meals there and the casino is open 24/7. Since our last stay they have made the entire resort smoke free. Very welcome addition!

Nice park nestled in pine trees and right across the street from the casino. It is a surprisingly big (and getting bigger) rv park and most of the tenants are seasonal or fulltimers. It is fun to just walk around the sites and see how "home-like" people have made their sites with gardens, canopies, furniture. It is not trashy looking but definitely not alone-in-the-woods feel. But it is still very quiet. Roads and sites are dirt and gravel and the day we pulled in the wind gusts was making it pretty nasty. Check-in process was simple and friendly but would be nice if they guided you to the site as the roads are not well marked and there are some tight areas. There is no OTA TV so take them up on the free cable box rental. Each site has a concrete pad and picnic table. They also have fire rings but due to fire restrictions we could not use it. Our site (44) was level. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a 43' motorhome in the newer section. 1st - the check-in staff are average at best when it comes to attitude and helpfulness. They offered no real assistance other than running a card. Then when asked for info it was incorrect. Getting through the park is challenging due roaming streets with about 50% signage and a couple of very tight turns. Our spot was plenty big but getting to and from the spot was not the easiest. Once to our sport we were unable to level. It looked like most people had the same issue. I don't know of a better park in the area unfortunately. So if you need to stop and rest for a few days, it isn't bad. If you want to spend a few weeks in the cool pines, I would figure out a different place to stay. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is wonderful! We spent 6 weeks here enjoying the area, the weather and the neighbors! Yes the interior roads have some pot holes, and yes it is confusing trying to find your site. I would recommend that each guest be escorted to their site. But it was delightful staying here. It has to be the most peaceful RV park anywhere! We loved watching the beautiful squirrels that inhabit this pine forest area. A neighbor had a peanut feeder hanging from a tree so we saw them frequently! Also lots of beautiful birds. There is a great laundry room at the office building, inexpensive and kept very clean. Lots are spacious and some are shady. Site surface is a concrete pad and the lot includes a fire ring, picnic table and patio.

We will definitely be coming back again. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you like to gamble the Casino is right across the road. There is also a nice restaurant at the casino and it has an outside entrance so you don't have to walk through the cigarette smoke of the casino! If you sign up for the casino card you are given credit on it to be used in the slots or at the restaurant! We used ours for the buffet. This buffet isn't the biggest we have been to but had a nice choice of dishes including some great roast beef and crab legs. And for you chocolate lovers the brownies are to die for! Trust me on that one!

Made reservations, 2 weeks in advance, to stay a week. Upon arrival they assigned a site where we couldn't put out our slide. 31/2 hours later they informed us we could have a spot made for a motorhome to nose in. No hookups available for us. Or, they had no place for us. Now 6PM on a Saturday with no place to go. Not all because I'm angry about the treatment, but because it's true - the place is a dump. Interior roads with potholes you can get lost in and looks as though it was run down 20 years ago. Too bad - great place for a park that could rate at least a 3. The staff was very friendly/helpful when we arrived. The park is very large, with several sections, and they did not give us an escort which would have helped. We were in a new section that was not totally completed. It is beautiful with sites well-spaced. It was very clean and quiet. We will definitely try to return and will highly recommend it. Tips for other Campers:

The Hon Dah Casino is next to the park. The park is very close to shopping ,restaurants, etc., in Pinetop, Lakeside, and Show Low. Great for day trips to the Petrified Forest, the Painted Desert, the Apache Reservation, Fort Apache, and scenic drive to Alpine.

Very nice park on an Indian reservation. Some sites are very close, but overall the park is nice. Many of the sites appear long term. The laundry is resonably priced. The main laundry has 16 washers and dryers. The bathrooms are ok. Showers are ok and has a small shelf and hook. The main building has 3 toliets and 2 showers. Throughout the park, there are individual showers with toliets and do not appear to be cleaned regularly. The water is hot and the room is good size with a bench. The sites are dirt/gravel and relatively level. They have pull through and back in. Each site has a concrete slab with picnic table. There are plenty of pine trees for shade. The road is dirt. There is good 3G AT&T cell service. They have a dump station and sell propane. Fires are allowed IF you ask for a fire ring. They have 50 & 30 amp hookups with 110 as well. Water pressure is high. Our site was right next to the highway so it was a bit noisey. They give you a cable box for TV and they have wifi. They have propane, dump station, ice at reservations and small convience store across the street at their gas station. It is right across the street from the casino. The park is about 3 miles from Pinetop/Lakeside which is not on the Indian reservation. There are several stores to shop, get a haircut, eat, drink. There is a small convience store that is very good and a Safeway further in town. Showlow is a bit further and has Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Big-O Tires, there is also a good size RV store (not a name you'd recognize). We'd stay here again. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roads and transient sites are mostly cinders. Nice park, probably 90% permanent or seasonal. Large, over 300 sites. Transient sites are close to road, but noise was not an issue. Excellent WiFi, requested and received a site where satellite dish could see southern sky. Used their free cable box for locals, no over the air TV at all. Interior roads a bit tight for a big rig and a bit convoluted. Lots of pine trees. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was better than the reviews led me to believe. The staff was helpful and the site was larger than expected. There was at least 20' between our door and the back of the next RV. The hookups were all in one area and worked well. They offer a free cable box, which we did not use. The showers and restrooms in the main building were very clean and up to date.

The person that checked us out said they are going to remodel and expand the park this fall. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fee reflects monthly rate. Very nice park, mostly seasonal residents, who are friendly and most take pride in landscaping and decorating their RV space. I had a site next to road and across from Casino. Amazed at how quiet it was after 10:00 pm. Liked it here so much that I decided to save money and stay at monthly rate. Current seasonal residents really like it here...I heard only good comments. All utilities are included, good cable, wifi, and good cell phone coverage, I was able to find great reception for my portable Satellite. Park manager is pleasant and helpful, occasionally a man was left in charge and had no clue what was going on. No help at all. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were surprised at this campground based on earlier reviews. They must have made a great deal of improvements. We were able to snag a site for Memorial day weekend within two weeks of the holiday. Some sites are near the road but noise isn't a problem. We have a larger than normal site under the pines - level with gravel and a concrete patio. No fire ring or picnic table at this one but others have them. Verizon cell coverage is marginal 3G but the park wifi is pretty good. Satellite access can be a problem because of the trees but they have excellent cable. Utilities are all good. There are a lot of seasonal sites but they are well cared for. My only ding is that they need to do some mowing and weed control around the sites. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yes, the overnight spots are along the road, noisy and narrow. But when you stay a week, you get a wide pull-through amid the seasonal folks and it's great. They've greatly improved the wifi since last summer. We have 5 devices and all are running fast. And they gave us a cable box and an employee even offered to hook it up for us. It's quiet, clean, lots of nice walking within park and in the forest. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

The seasonal and permanent sites in this park look great. The overnight spots...not at all! The are unlevel, unkept and narrow. Our spot (#137) has a gully running through the middle and, during a hard rain, ran right through our cinder rock site along an existing washed out "ditch", that obviously needed to be filled in with gravel or rocks, maybe even concrete. We were concerned it would undermine our trailer supports, but luckily, it did not. The overnight spots are also right along the highway and the continual "thump, thump, thump" of local residents' with blaring stereos going by at all hours. The WiFi is terrible (as pretty much spelled out in the disclaimer of the Internet brochure they hand out, which says do not depend on their WiFi connection for any reason). I do have two good things to report. The cable TV has many great channels and a good, clear picture. Also, the food at the adjoining Indian Hon-dah Casino has a good restaurant with very reasonably priced food. For the record, we will choose another RV park in Pinetop for our next stay. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
