Can't say enough good things about this place. Plenty of RV parks in Quartzsite, but this one wind hands down. Full hook-ups, laundry, and super nice and clean shower/bath facility at a reasonable price! But the best thing about Shady Lanes is the staff and owners. Can't say enough good things about them! They make sure you enjoy yourself. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. IllI definitely be back! Obi. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Perfect for what we needed. We stayed one night as we were passing through the area. Easy, friendly reservations and check in. Great value for the money, especially considering the cost of filling/dumping options down the road. Easy in and out, close to everything in town. WIFI was fast, bathrooms super clean. They recycle! Rec Center clean, overall the place looks very well maintained. Nice hard packed gravel and level site. We had a site near the road, but not much traffic at night. We would stay here again. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here just before new year's eve in Dec. 2018. Easy check-in, fair price, all utilities worked very well. Sites are pretty level gravel, decent amount of room between them. One thing that concerned me is the reviews that mention the park is not pet-friendly, that is not accurate. We traveled with our small dog and had no issues whatsoever; also saw other campers with bigger and smaller dogs. They do not have a designated pet area, but, while the park is situated on a main road, to the immediate east is a residential area where you can walk your dog. At the walk-through exit areas on all sides of the park there are free doggy poo bags. In Quartzsite there are many RV parks, and of course you can dry camp; we like the hook-ups. It is about a five minute drive to BLM Hi Jolly and Plomosa camping areas, we took our towed jeep and had a great time off-roading. We also bought coffee and breakfast breads from a nice bakery immediately across the street. One final tip: there is a 76 gas station just south of the park whose regular fuel price was within four cents a gallon of the nearby Love's truck stop, I recommend checking prices before you wait in a 20 minute line at Love's. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get gas at 76 instead of Love's truck stop; you'll avoid a 20 minute line and pay about two dollars more for a 55 gallon fill up.

This park is fine but if you are a dog owner be aware that their rules explicitly state that you may be evicted if your pooch pees (or poos) in the park. Not what we were used to when told a park is pet friendly whether it is in the desert or not. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

We truly wish when people hear and agree to said pet rules that they would pick another park rather than complain about said rules after they agreed to them. We have asked people that do not pick up after their pets (poo) and walk away to leave. We ask guests to make every attempt to have their pets do their business outside the park walls so we can keep the park as clean as everyone likes especially with no rain to wash the urine smell. You'll notice our park doesn't smell like a dog park. We also state that if you get halfway to the outside and Fido decides he can't wait that you simply pick up after him...period, no eviction. We supply doggie bags and a dumpster. This park is not set up well for pets, but, we do what we can to allow well-mannered pets and also state the rules to all before registration.

We had a great experience right from the moment we pulled in and a friendly staffer got us registered and showed us to our site. This park is not a fancy "resort" with all sorts of amenities, but it's exceptionally clean, well maintained and most importantly, friendly and welcoming to its guests. We enjoyed talking to the folks in the office about what to see and do in the area. It's obvious that they know the area well and take pride in their RV park. One night we joined fellow RVers at the evening campfire circle which was fun. We intended to stay just two nights, but added a third because the rate was so reasonable and we were having such a good time. We then went off boondocking for a couple of nights. On our way back through Quartzsite we were going to stop at the RV Pit Stop to top off our fresh water and dump our holding tanks. We discovered that it would cost us more to do that than to just go back to Shady Lane for another night, so we did! Only negative I can think of is that at times the WiFi got very slow, but I've come to expect that at most RV parks and try to schedule my internet use for off peak times of the day. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park right in Quartzsite and within walking distance of the "Big Tent", The Rock and Gem Show and a number of businesses. It is very crowded during show time and RV's are parked really close "back to back" as can be expected in Quartzsite during the biggest RV gathering in the world. The sites are well taken care of, facilities immaculate and staff helpful and friendly. No use of portable heaters allowed so needed to use our furnace a lot. We are return campers at this RV park and enjoyed our stay. The park is conveniently located on Hwy 95 just off I-10. Even though it is on a major highway, we were not bothered by a lot of traffic noise late at night. We were here for the annual Quartzsite RV Show. Lot spacing is nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is gravel. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent the Thanksgiving holidays there 2015 and we were very pleased by how we were treated. We were greeted with a smile and an invitation to join in on a potluck Thanksgiving dinner, it was great. The new owners were real down to earth people and chatted with us about our hobbies and theirs. Will stay again soon, hopefully with a group of our friends. We did not use the restrooms because we are self contained, but the club house was nice and the grounds were well kept. Our parking spot was plenty big for our 26ft. motorhome and our Jeep Wrangler and the park staff assisted in parking. They didn't just give us a map and point, they led us in a gulf cart right to the spot and helped us park. We like that the park is right down town, walking distance to almost anything and not right on the freeway, great location. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

We came here not knowing the area at all, looking for a place to stay for the winter. Something made me come to this place. I'm so happy we found this. This place is awesome. The new owners are great people. We have movie nights, campfire nights and so much fun. The place is clean. Right in the middle of everything. You can walk or ride your bicycles anywhere from here. The people we've met so far are here year after year and are very nice. Close knit, trusting, fun. Very good laundry room, hot showers(free), clubhouse with pool table, puzzles, good wifi. All around a great place.. The new owners are very helpful, down to earth and friendly. A complete turn around from what it was in the past with the previous owner (what everyone tells me anyway) we're really happy to have found it. One of the best places in Quartzsite. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Recently spent a night here in a 41' DP, pulling a car.

The deluxe pull thru (damn if I know what deluxe is, here) was $44+ and, though advertised as a Good Sam park, there are no discounts. Most probably, long term residents really like it here because of friendships established. We decided to stay here just to see if the reviews were justified. Did not expect the huge price tag. We have stayed at luxury parks for less and gotten much more. If you stay here, remember that if your DP exceeds 40' and you are pulling a toad, you might have to unhook to get out of the park. No, I am not a novice at this, having driven commercial HD wreckers and large motorhomes for many years.

I would not stay here again. Too many other options. We camped at Shady Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you are looking for a straightforward, no-frills, but immaculate, and friendly place to stay you need look no further.

Shady Lane will become your second home! The bathroom/shower facilities are immaculate, as is the laundry room. The RV spaces themselves are large enough to accommodate not only your RV but your vehicle right next to you. There is a concrete pad with picnic table right outside your door. We are dealers at the QIA POW WOW every year and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else for the winter season.

The owner and her helper are absolutely the best! They will do everything they can to accommodate your needs and enforce park rules for the comort of ALL their guests. We did a "seasonal package" and felt the price ($735 for 3 months) was a real bargain for this area during peak time. I would highly recommend that you make reservations early in the year, however. Tips for other Campers:

The Quartzsite season starts around November 1st. The weather is usually very mild with not a lot going on. However, after January 1st it starts to rock 'not roll! If you love to see or buy beautiful rocks and Mineral specimen's you're going to like it here. Then there is Tyson Wells where they have hundreds of vendors selling their wares. Then, if you're not already exhausted there is the Big Tent RV Show! This is a huge venue for vendors selling every RV gadget, tool and accessory you could ever dream of! Lots of things to see and do here.
