The park is clean. Homeless people in close proximity to park. Pool not desirable to use due to 5 RV spots around the pool. The occupants around the pool are full timers. No dog walk or grass in park. My 5th wheel is 42' long. It was very hard to back in due to lack of space for backing. The majority of the park is occupied by full timers. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Experience was terrible. Spot to park was not as advertised. Had a sewer line break under our trailer and there was no offer of help to move or to cover the sewage so I would not have to wade in it to get out. No offer of any refund for remaining time, I was not staying here any longer. All they could say is "it is not our fault" I understand it does happen. Maybe a little preventive maintenence would help and also to accept a little responsibility. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is no question this was a terrible experience for this guest and we expressed how sorry we were. The sewer line was blocked by gravel two sites away forcing the sewage to overflow under their rig. We learned of the overflow about 8 a.m. and the maintenance men promptly began assessing the situation. Since 3 sites were blocked the snake was used and after some effort the blockage was cleared and the site cleaned up by noon. This party was offered another site, but refused since they had already had to disconnect. They left and the remaining nights of their reservation were refunded. This reservation was made online with a request for a Standard Site. Since the park was very full due to Spring Training they were given a Standard Pull-thru site next to the pool with full hookups (30 amp elec. only) and no patio slab. The staff is suppose to inform all guests at the time the reservation is made if the site has any drawbacks such as no patio and next to the pool.

We, a Dutch family on our first visit to the US, stayed one night at Apache Palm RV Park in order to return our motorhome in Mesa. The only garbagecan we could find was closed so we put our little bag beside it. The next morning the manager wanted to charge us an extra 5 dollars for cleaning up the garbage that had unfortunately been spread out in front of the office, presumably caused by a dog or cat. Even though we apologized, she still charged us for the little clean-up. An hour later we returned to the office with a second garbage bag and our question was again where the garbage cans are? We were not allowed to drop it in their garbage can. Instead she insisted that we should take our garbage with us in the RV and leave the park (!) which we eventually did to avoid further escalation and to return our motorhome in time. We have been visiting several hundreds of campsites in Europe in the past 30 years, but we never experienced a situation as unfriendly and unwelcoming as this! During our stay in the US, the staff of all other RV parks were very friendly and helpful. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

A welcome packet is given to each guest at check-in. Among other things it includes a site map with the location of the trash dumpster and recycle bin, both located centrally in the RV Park for our guests convenience. Since our trash service is provided by the City of Tempe the trash receptacles are never locked.

At the time of this writing there is evidently a huge party going on in the permanent portion of the park. It is 10 pm, loud music, and no sign of the party abating. There is no staff on duty to deal with it. We need to be up at 4:30 am so my wife can catch a flight. There is no hope of sleep. This is probably the worst park we have camped in. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bad neighborhood, gang bangers cruise park. No staff on duty in the evening. Dangerous neighborhood, police car sirens and police activity all around. Not safe to walk anywhere in the area. Not a safe place for older people or children. Spoke with police officer and he suggested that we could find safer locations in Mesa and Apache Junction. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

I would not rate a place a 1, but this is an exception. Arrogant office people, terrible neighborhood, crowded pool (only amenity), and dirty. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a parking lot campground in the middle of a city businesses district. Snowbirds and poor college kids live here. More permanent and seasonal long-term folks than transient campers. Do not stay here if you are on vacation. User Pass would be much nicer. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

After reading the other comments I just had to add my remarks. The staff was very rude. When we arrived I felt like a criminal - they were not at all welcoming, but rather stared rudely. The advertised WiFi did not exist - they told us we did not get service because we were being blocked. None of our neighbors had service either. Yes, they allowed dogs but make sure they defecate on concrete or rocks - there isn't a blade of grass in sight! In the AAA directory they advertized a cactus garden - there was one saguaro cactus that was it. The bathrooms were private and clean only because of the threats posted on the walls warning against bath powder sprinkled on the floor. I have never been in a womens prison, but I am sure it is not far from this. The surrounding area was horrible. You took your life in your hands to walk outside the front gate day or night. Next time we are visiting Tempe, I think we will stay in the Wal-Mart parking lot. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.
