We stayed 2 nights at this great Good Sam RV park that is about 2 miles from Tombstone. We had spot 43 (FHU), which was near the middle of the park. The staff was very friendly. Great laundry facilities; very clean room and machines. Our main objective was to tour Tombstone. The park is in a valley so cell coverage was not great along with their internet. HWY 80 was just off the park and the road was busy and noisy. Tombstone city visit was well worth the time. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tombstone town square is a national historic landmark. Went to the O.K. Corral shootout and toured the museum there--highly recommend. Great place to spend an afternoon.

This is a clean, well-maintained campground, which is big-rig friendly. It is worth the short 2-mile drive (or you can ride their shuttle) to Historic Tombstone. RV parks in town looked very tight. Good gravel interior roads and sites. Short-term sites are long, mostly level pull-throughs, which are fairly roomy. There is a fenced, gravel dog area, a large swimming pool and laundry. Dirt trail (ATV road?) behind camping area was good for walking my dogs. Owners are friendly and helpful. No OTA TV reception or AT&T service, though Verizon worked OK. We would stay here again. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

It's natural to want to be as close to the action as possible, but when it comes to selecting RV parks located in downtown Tombstone-don't do it! Once you see them, you'll understand why. Tombstone RV Park is only 1 ½ miles out of town and is infinitely cleaner and more roomy. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Monthly rentals are back-in's, shorter stays are all pull-thrus on thick, nicely groomed gravel. That said, the only remaining spot for our short stay turned out to be a constricted (by a tree) back-in, clearly not intended for a large rig. Our park host was positively wonderful; after guiding us to the site, he willingly and pleasantly backed us in, offered to pick up and deliver our propane refill and pointed out his site if we needed anything after hours. He never stopped hustling. Management which hires like this cares about excellence. The whole park was well maintained, organized and carefully monitored for guest safety and comfort. Rec room and pool very inviting. Laundry & showers spotless. Utilities were conveniently located, water pressure was strong and electricity was reliable. Only minor leveling required in site # 8. Down sides: No cable TV was a bummer, as OTA reception was minimal and of poor quality. Cell service spotty. No dumpsters, only a series of ordinary trash containers. Wi-Fi was difficult during peak evening hours but good at other times. BTW, your dog will cost you an extra $4.00 during your stay. It's the price we pay for all those mindless owners who feel entitled to let someone else clean up after their pet. On balance, we spent 4 nights in this park and were really pleased with our choice. I think you will be too. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a lot to see and do in downtown Tombstone, but there's also a lot of hawkers tempting your touristic interests; stop in the Visitor Center first for a factual briefing about what the town offers-then make your choices without all the hype.

We spent two nights here. Great location for visiting Tombstone and Bisbee. Easy in and out, nice level sites and pea gravel throughout whole park. Their wifi is average. Our Verizon mifi and cell service was poor. Very nice rec room, clean bathrooms. Pool area looks nice but we didn't use it (since it snowed during our stay!). The 50a had blown out on a few sites the day before we got there. They didn't know ours was out too. As promised they had it repaired quickly. Friendly reservation and check-in. Fairly wide site. Shuttle to Tombstone is a nice touch, though we didn't use it. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We started with two nights at this park since we had not been to the area before. That was the end of Nov 2018. Ended up staying for the entire winter and we have booked our winter stay for next year. Fabulous spacious spots, quiet and tidy campground. Great rec center and pool, as well as being close by to Tombstone, Bisbee and Sierra Vista. The owners and work-camp staff are wonderful people and take great pride in the job and surroundings here. No negatives here. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 3 nights in a 43' motorhome to visit Tombstone and Bixby. Easy access from I-10. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Big rig friendly. Road surface is small river rocks throughout park. Our site was FHU PT with cable. Utilities work well. Some shade with a picnic table and grass. ATT service was good. Plenty of room to walk dog with a nice doggy park with bags. Showers are a little tight. Park is just 5 min outside Tombstone. Town is open 9am-5pm. Free parking is available. There is a main street closed to auto traffic with a dirt surface giving the town an old time feel. The stagecoach runs though town with paid guests as town characters walk around town including the Earp brothers. Take in the shoot-out at the OK Corral. Visit Bixby and do the Mine Tour. You go 1,500 feet into the mine on a single seat train escorted by a 80 year old tour guide who began working in the mine at 15 years old. Excellent info and experience. Will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tombstone RV Park and Campground is sufficient while visiting Southern Arizona. It is on the way to the Caverns, Bisbee, Sierra Vista and Tombstone. Pool is nice, showers had a bit of rust to them, and bathrooms were clean. The campground has small rock as their surface, and few trees, but there is few trees in Tombstone as well. Dog park is adequate. Good source of videos to borrow, as they do not have cable or arial service. Nice items to purchase in the store/office. They have drive thru sites which is important. I wish there was more shade, but it is a good place to spend two or three nights visiting Southern Arizona. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

You have to understand what part of the country you are in - not much to choose from but, I will say this is a good campground and except for the highway noise I would give it a 10. As is common in this part of the world everything is gravel but, clean. We had a easy pull through with resonable space on both sides. Water pressure was good and WiFi was acceptable. There was a convienient fenced area for the dogs to run a little but, of course no grass. Nice swimming pool and playground for kids but, that really did not apply to us old folks. This was a good campground for a base to see the area. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the finest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The staff was the most pleasant and helpful we have ever dealt with. The campground was spotless and very appealing, actually the whole facility is perfect. Restrooms were very clean and cool. Power was sufficient. The only thing missing was Cable but gosh you are way off the beaten path. To top it off they even transport you to downtown Tombstone. Wonderful wonderful place. Will definitely visit again. Nice park close to all the fun things in Tombstone. The park provides a shuttle if you don't want to drive yourself to see everything (driver works on tips, otherwise no cost). Remembering that this is high desert area, there's no grass, but excellent xeroscaping with a desert flair in all the sites, and throughout the park. Sites are level and large enough for your rig and for parking your vehicle next to the rig. Plenty of room for the picnic table and hanging out with the family around the campfire ring, which is available at the office with the purchase of firewood. There is also horse camping in a separate area. Pool area is very nice, opens early in the season, but is not heated. There is a fenced dog park - again, desert so no grass, but it is nicely done in typical desert landscaping so your furry friend should be quite comfortable using it. Park is easy in/out right on Arizona 80. Lots of family friendly things to do in the park. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Boot Hill Cemetery, Big Nose Kate's (rumor is what happens there, stays there), take the stagecoach tour, don't miss the Courthouse/museum. If you love history, the Earp brothers/Doc Holiday, and the OK Corral, don't miss Tombstone! And if you are there in April, do NOT miss the largest (Yes, Guinness World Records says so!) Rose "Tree" in the world while it's in bloom. It's spectacular! Also close to Bisbee (see the mine) and Sierra Vista (shopping).

The park is a typical Arizona RV Park in that it is all gravel with not much greenery, but heck, it is a desert. The park is well kept, clean and well laid out. No problems with staying here. We've booked for next year. Good management, good walking trails, good pool. WiFi is better than dial-up. Verizon bars suck, I guess due to location. Location is quiet, nearby town of Sierra Vista is excellent for shopping and eating. Water froze up three times even with electric hose. Electric high at .19 per kwh. Propane convenient but at least .50 higher than other venues. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice clean rv park. It is all gravel but not really dusty. It is down in a ravine so there was no tv reception. Park is handy for visiting Tombstone and surrounding area. We can't complain because we got the last available spot in the park without reservations but it was on the end and had to park the truck across the road next to the trailer dump station. We spent 2 nights and visited Bisbee, Douglas, Portal, Cave Creek Canyon Recreation Area and Chiricahua National Monument. RV Park also had propane.
